CONOR MCGREGOR's striking coach Owen Roddy has lifted the lid on the Irishman's preparations for Floyd Mayweather. McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, takes on 'Money' Mayweather in a multi-million-pound boxing match on August 26. The most talked about fight on the planet, which has divided opinion amongst many boxing fans, takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Click Here To Read More]
Kiernan Bradley some Irish amateur. He's got a nice amateur record, but mostly in Ireland which isn't the stiffest competition in the amateur world. They claim he fights like Floyd, but I can't see it from what I saw on Youtube.
Louis Adolphe a 6-0 brit pro. Got some slickness to him, hasn't really fought anybody doe.
Artem Lobov some MMA guy on his team.
The main one's are Bradley and Adolphe. Lobov is there to just fill in work.
Well, that's horrible.
Bring at least a Beltran or an Ishe Smith.
That's not a 500 K dollars fight.
I think Conor's team has grabbed a solid cast if sparring partners based on that bad left hook article. I've seen Johnson fight Love. Btw I seriously doubt he looks that amazing against those guys.
I dont know how recent the fight of Johnson, I watched, was. It could be old or recent, but he looked different in the Love fight. The fight I seen, he was so sharp he looked identical to Floyd.
Obviously not IDENTICAL. But his athleticism looked amazing.
Even if his coach is exaggerating, McGregor could be a very risky and dangerous opponent for Mayweather. He's powerful and unorthodox and should not be underestimated. We don't know how Floyd looks in the ring at age 40. Sure, Mayweather could win easily but he would be wise to fight safe as usual, otherwise if he is shocked in defeat, then people will say he ducked a prime Paul Williams, Pacquaio and Margarito. Although he may have won those fights it would have been difficult against Pacquaio from 2010, or tall P. Williams.
Pac WOULDNT AGREE TO DO THE SAME TESTING THAT HE EVENTUALLY DID....I know what sect of people you're from. Margarito was using illegal hand wraps......then we saw him catch "Sugar" diabetes, he would've lost to Floyd....boy you people :pat:
NEVER believe anything anyone says about sparring.
Exactly. Didn't Sugar Ray Leonard admit he was basically getting beat up in sparring before the Hagler fight, to the point where he was thinking about not going through with it? It means absolutely nothing at all in the big picture.
Of course he's gonna say that, he's his trainer. On the real though i'm betting on Floyd to stop him, especially now I know Paulie will be giving him information and telling him everything about the McGregor camp. Just look at his twitter! :lol1::lol1:
As long as they don't bring in Adrien Broner for sparring they will be ok with these bum squad jv bench warm squad sparring partners. Broner would knock McGregor unconcious even with 16 oz pillows. McAssger couldn't even stop Paulie in a 12 round fight that Paulie found out about last second. Paulie can't punch, is shot to shit, and was always just a B level guy that couldn't win the big one. Paulie was so shot he got stopped by a British crumpet eating bum his last fight. Broner absolutely kills McGregor and gets the fight cancelled. McGregor isn't on that level so he needs to go fight Floyd a couple levels down below.
Didn't they say the same thing about Rousey, but then we found out later that her sparring partners were not allowed to punch back? They had to sign a contract and everything. Surely if he is not getting touched there will be footage on All Access right?
Floyd would never get in the octagon. He wouldn't even fight an inexperienced Canelo at Canelo's natural weight, a competitive Pacquiao or No-chin-but-faster-than-Floyd Khan (after he won Floyd's own Twitter pole). He only picks fights that are a foregone conclusion with zero risk.
This is why I want McGregor to get lucky. Imagine what it will do to Floyd's legacy.
As for McGregor - he's just fulfilling his part of the deal - to keep his and Mayweather's name in the spotlight. In a couple more days - there will be another 'story'. It's all part of the money-making game
I domt like floyd as much as the next guy but im still rooting for him as a boxing fan. You're supposed to be a boxing fan yet want a non boxer to come in and knock out floyd to crush his legacy? If anything its gonna crush boxing and make the boxing community look weak if a non boxer does what other legends and bad ass fighters couldnt do.
Lmao....when should floyd have fought canelo? After he looked bad vs lara? Floyd was waaaaaay past prime when he fought canelo.
You have a "boxing fan" saying he hopes McGregor gets lucky and imagine what it does to his legacy. Really all you need to know.

Mcgregor seems to have a team of yes men around him he needs a dose of humility and reality if he wants to give boxing a crack. Malignaggi could have helped him but mcgregors ego is too big floyds going to massacre this man or at least make him look like a 0-0 fighter which he is. I hope Floyd has the stones to fight in the octagon I'd give him a good chance but at his age it's a stretch, doesn't really need that at 40-41 years old.

Just remember it's sparring and there's no one he can spar with iis going 2b like Floyd, no one... past 40 and not fighting in more than two years FM will do a number on this Joker...
If he's not getting touched in sparring then he's using the wrong sparring partners. Seriously do these guys have any idea what they are doing?
So you're telling me that either;
Conor is the greatest boxer the world has ever seen, (despite never boxing) and his elite, professional sparring partners can't lay a glove on him, or
You're using awful sparring partners that are basically heavy bags on legs.
If you're not putting the work in now then in the words of Ricky Hatton 'You've no f*cking chance'.
The greatest boxers in history all used sparring partners that tested them in the gyms. This is essential to getting the best from the fighter on the night.
So to brag about it means either you're lying, or you're using sh1te sparring partners. Either way, you've no idea what you're doing.
Absolute clueless twots.
Who are McGregor sparring partners now that Paulie left?
Anybody knows?
