$$$$ talks, so that is why I think it could, if they are not making money off of bum HWs and there are marketable fighters at lower weight classes.
maybe........:hijacked:
As much as I dislike Rick Glaser he said it MAY have done 100K buys but PBC will come out with a bigger number. & that the 200K number floating around is comical.
Link?
Glaser is a complete fraud.

I'm not sure about you guys but it seems like many ppl have different views on how the list should be compiled. I for one believe that p4p stands for exactly what it says. It means if all fighters were to theoretically fight at an equal weight, who would be the most dominant. Whereas others list p4p lists on a "what have you done lately?" status.
I see some lists where they list pacquaio about 3-5 spaces above jmm but as we all saw in the fight, both fighters were almost equal as seen with the draw decision. Same goes with a fighter like corrales. He enters the p4p lists after some good wins over high quality fighters. Yet in some discussions most feel that a fight with castillo the fight would be a 50/50 pick'em fight. However, castillo's name is hardly mentioned in any of the p4p lists.
Another thing that bothers me is how some fighters aren't even considered the best fighters of their division and yet are mentioned in the p4p lists. For example james toney. In a fight vs Klit, most sports betting would put klit as favourite basically echoing the public perception that klit would beat toney. Yet toney, who isn't considered the best in his division makes most ppl's top 10.
And the final point is, some posters would pick a fighter like trinidad over spinks, yet when they do their p4p lists, most of the posters have spinks above trinidad. That thought rationale is contradicting. Most lists appear to be "what have you done for me lately" lists. So yeh, i've done my venting and lets hear some thoughts about it. Here's mine btw :).
1. Kostya Tyszu
2. Bernard Hopkins
3. Floyd Mayweather
4. Eric Morales
5. Manny Pacquiao
6. Juan Manuel Marquez
7. Felix Trinidad
8. Cory Spinks
9. Winky Wright
10. Antonio Tarver
11. Rafael Marquez
12. Marco Antonio Barrera
13. Jose Luis Castillo
14. Miguel Cotto
15. Vivien Harris
Pacquiao should not be above Marquez. Wright above Spinks, Trinidad should not be top ten, no way is Tszyu number one.
Who would you say are the 5 greatest 140 lbers ever? Where does Kostya Tszyu rank in light of his recent win?
My 5
1-Julio Cesar Chavez
2-Barney Ross
3-Kostya Tszyu
4-Aaron Pryor
5- Billy Petrolle
Should Tszyu even be on the list of top 5?
I didnt agree with the second knockdown BUT this isnt Football and there is no instant replay. The knockdown counted and as far as the point taken away, it was a legit foul. Ruiz was given plenty of ref support after the fact with plenty of fouls he let slide such as punching Golota after the bell after a few rounds. Ruiz should have lost 100 points for holding over and over and over and over. Just look at VBMartin's hold count thread.
Johnny Ruiz is a hometown hero in my city.(Chelsea,MA) and
therefore I'm rooting for and picking John Ruiz to defeat
Andrew Golota by a knockout in the 8th round or Golota is
disqualified by round 10. What is your predictions?
I dont think Golota will ever let himself get disqualified again.
How do you find the threads that you have recently posted? Is there a way to search it? I know with other forums you can just go to your profile and it will show recent posts there, but I dont see it here. Am I missing something?
Just go to search option on top header, do advanced search and serach by name or click on your own name and click option to find more posts by yourself.
Pac is good, but I dont think he is good enough to beat a prime Hamed. Hamed had a very good chin and is still the strongest guy at the weight. Manny would go to war and get knocked out. I dont think Manny has it in him to stay away from a slugfest.
What's the logic behind this card?
Quantity over quality obviously. Take four fights that no one wants to see, put them on the same card, and charge 50 dollars for the show. I hope no member one here is planning on paying for this. Pay per View cards like this are detrimental to the sport.
true, but at the same time it should clear the division up a a bit.
Pinto has a chin of paper, if I fart loud enough I can knock him down. Freitas on the other hand is a pussy, coward...as the Filipino fans say CHICKEN-GAY!
Chris Byrd (37-2-1) vs. Jameel McCline (31-3-1)-IBF Heavyweight belt.
John Ruiz(40-5-1) vs Andrew Golota(38-4-1)-WBA Heavyweight belt.
Hasim Rahman(39-5-1) vs Kali Meehan(29-2).
Evander Holyfield(38-7-2) vs Larry Donald(41-3-2).
Monte Barrett(30-3) vs Owen Beck(24-0).
My picks:
Byrd W12 McCline
Golota TKO10-12 Ruiz
Rahman W12 Meehan
Holyfield W12 Donald
Beck KO8 Barrett
WHAT'S YOUR OPINION MY FRIENDS?
Byrd over McCline by decision
Golota over Ruiz by KO
Meehan over Rahman by KO
Barrett over Beck by KO
Donald over Holyfield by KO
The fight was very hard to score. Barrett threw very few punches with any bad intentions, his jab was lazy and he was holding way too much. Rahman wobbled Barret a few times, busted up his face and walked him down for most of the fight (because Barrett allowed him to walk him down.) Barrett even had Rahman hurt in the last round and did not jump on him. I think my score was not 119 because I gave two rounds to Barrett, must be 118 to whatever Barrett had either 110 or 111.
Triller is the one who sold the farm, and then defaulted IIRC.
In reality it was just about to happen when one of them pulled out. I forget which one at this point.
MSG judges already scored against Lopez in his fight with Kambo which was close with both scoring KDs and against a nobody at that. I think Taylor is ok judges don't do any favors to certain guys Teo is one of them
Remember that was a Matchroom show, which had neither guy although they were working with Kambosos. Then ESPN/Top Rank sold the farm to outbid Matchroom to get Haney-Kambosos for some reason.
