Vitali is going to destroy Rahman within five rounds. I saw the fight at a friends house and I thought Rahman won a close fight but no way does he last the distance with Vitali.
hmm
This fight has a lot of symptoms of a typical fixed Don King fight. Barrett acted totally uncharacteristic of himself and neither guy went for the KO when they had the other hurt. Barrett showed up vs Guinn and Mesi but somehow just does nothing vs Rahman when it's his big chance? Yeah right...
FUCK DON KING.
I count the days until his death, and when he dies, I will literally thank God and smile.
Vitali is going to OBLITERATE Rahman. It's gonna be worse than jail-rape.
I'd say whoever bought this fight is a disgrace. The undercard is laughable, as is the main event. Because people are actually dumb enough to pay for a shit match, they'll keep being made as PPV's.
Yeah we all need to quit feeding the monkey.
The fight was so pathetic that I decided to find a boxing forum when i got home just to see what people are saying about it.
Anyways I thought it was clear that Rahman won the fight though he didn't sell me on the fact that he can compete with Vitali.Barrett was a big disapointment as he seemed like he was sparring at the gym half the time. He would back off, drop his hands, turn away or rest on the ropes almost like he knew or thought Rahman really wasn't going to attack. Also after the fight he couldn't wait to hug it out and then make his way to the other corner to be with rahmans people. So basically yeah the fight was a big joke.
The Crock will never land that super slow wound up right hand on
Vitali! It was so telegraphed that I am supprised Monty let it hit him at all. Monty wins this fight easy if he wanted to.
If Rahman was being careful, he let his guard down in Round 12. Still, like he said, Barrett moved more than Vitali likely will, so we may see something different in the WBC title fight...
Vitaliy moves quite a bit too and is not afraid to run when needed, even from Danny Williams.

I wouldnt call it that bad, but not very far behind. This did not seem like a fight where two guys had a possible title shot on the line. Both guys seemed like they were very uneasy about hurting the other. I hate fights with close friends, they usually never amount to good fights.
Was there a chance that they pre-agreed not to KO each other?
This fight reminded me Brewster vs Meehan, albeit the latter had more action in it.
I think this can be closely rated worse or as bad as the Ruiz vs Olquendo bout.

Atleast we got a knock out and Ruiz had the balls to step in and follow through when he saw his opponent hurt.
When Barrett and Rahman hurt each other it is like they hugged to console one another. I am surprised we didnt get some kisses on the cheek...The hardest blows will probably be thrown later tonight... :)
All I know is that Barret could have and should have won this fight! He had Hasbeen Hurt in the first round. All he had to do was let his hands go and he wins easily.
The fight was garbage. There was a moment in the fight when both of them stared at one another for like 25 seconds without throwing a single blow.

The fight was very hard to score. Barrett threw very few punches with any bad intentions, his jab was lazy and he was holding way too much. Rahman wobbled Barret a few times, busted up his face and walked him down for most of the fight (because Barrett allowed him to walk him down.) Barrett even had Rahman hurt in the last round and did not jump on him. I think my score was not 119 because I gave two rounds to Barrett, must be 118 to whatever Barrett had either 110 or 111.
Barret had nothing left in his tank to jump on him.

Are you Rick? :-)

The way Barrett would back off when ever he landed a solid blow made me think the fight could have been fixed, or both just sucked REALLY bad this night. Either way they both have cuts and Don King said he hopes to make the fight by Dec!!!!!!!! I thought mid Nov was the cut off point?
Brock is still available, I hope VK can get a Sept match with Brock so he is not out for a full year.
Neither fighter did much of anything.
Basically this is how it went.
Barrett utilizing his jab and throwing combinations and follows through with a nice hook but for the most part mainly throwing combinations of mainly jabs.
Rahman keeps walking forward and lands a heavy shot every now and then.
Imagine that for 12 rounds and you have the fight, neither fighter deserves the credit and seriously I was thinking it was going to come out a draw. But I had it for Barrett but both fighters looked like garbage. Typical Rahman and Barrett showed up.
how the FUCK did you score that fight for Barrett? are you retarded? seriously, did you have Spinks ahead before Judah KO'ed him?!?
I totally agree and I think Vitali disposes either fighter quite rapidly. I am not a fan of Vitali but these fighters stand no chance to beat this guy.
The only 2 guys I give a chance to beating Klitschko is Ruiz (haha) and Brewster......
I hate to say it but after tonight I might just have to call Vitali Klitschko heavyweight champ......
WoW...
You've come a long way. Now lets just hope Vitali can walk the walk to prove it
if you guys read Rick Reeno's Round By Round... I belive he gave all but 1.5 rounds to Rahman (one of the rounds he scored even)
Did DK pay Rick as well? LOL
Well, maybe Rick and the judges are right.
