if golota overcomes ruiz (please) and v-klit beats williams (he should)
then maybe a unification fight could go ahead.
i think golotas a good boxer with some power but a little fragile
minded and v-klits limited with more power and a decent chin.
its the matchup i most want to see in the heavyweight division.
What kind of fools pick golota to win, keep and golota-lewis and klitschko-lewis in minde.
One thing you should keep in mind is that the Lewis who took down Golota was the Lion in his prime - perhaps the best he's ever been. The Lewis who struggled with VKlit was overweight and past it. I have no doubts that a prime Golota with his head right (rather than the "deer in the headlights" style he gave LL) could've given prime Lewis a little more trouble than he did. And even though he's no longer a prime Golota, it still seems he's got something in his tank. If he gets his head together, who knows?
BUT YEAH GOLOTA CANT STAND UPTO THE BIG PUNCHERS AND THAT SHOULD BE THE TELLING FACTOR.
SO ID like GOLOTA TO WIN THEN LOL
This doesn't sound like something someone would say who thinks that VK has power, but maybe you aren't being sarcastic like I thought. And yes VK has 97% KO %. He has 34 wins and 33 KOs. The only decision win was against Timo Hoffman who was his first fight back after Byrd where he tore his rotator cuff. Hoffman has also never been KD before.
I agree with Beeatch - Golota still has some skills and athletic ability - he showed that against Byrd. If he can get past Ruiz, I think he has the skills to compete with VKlit. Mentally too, if he gets past Ruiz, I'd give him a shot at beating VKlit (although he's suffered complete brain-farts at all his biggest fights to date).
i think if Golota can beat Ruiz ( please God!) he's got a good shot against Vitali. This is the Foul Pole's last chance, he needs to fight like a desperate man, a starving man... if golota can be mentally focused and show us everything he's got, i think he can beat Vitali - if the angry Golota who beat the f*ck out of Bowe shows up on fight night, he just can't make any mistakes or he'll lose the fight
I'm just pumped for this matchup (if it ever happens). Those two big dudes will be throwing down some serious meat at each other.
And we all know Vitali can throw the meat... (Neuraxis's face starts to get red with fury...)

I would pick Klitschko tonight. But I'm going to wait to see the fight Saturday - I'm counting on a Ruiz win. If Golota disposes of the WBA champ, I might reconsider. So I'll wait a few days to vote...

I agree that this is the most interesting match-up in that division. Vitali justs needs to show-up as himself, whereas Golota needs to bring the fight of his career. I figure Golota beat Byrd and was a bit impressive, but he'd definitely need to bring a bigger attitude agianst Vitali.
I'm not a Vitali basher, but I'm not ready to crown him with much of anything. Vit's performances against the "Lazy" version of Lennox, 'ole Ray Mercer, fatboy from Nova Scotia, and the semi-retired Boxer/Golfer are not quite enough to have me believing he'll have an easy night with Golota.
Golota is very athletic for a guy his size, so he matches very good with Klit that way. Klit tops Golota on skills and a bit on speed, but I still like Golota's chances.
First there's Ruiz. If Golota get's decisioned, which could be very likely, his career is pretty much over.
LOOK HOW CLOSE RAY MERCER TOOK LENNOW LEWIS AND THEN HOW HE FARED AGAINST WLADIMIR KLIT.
WOULDNT GIVE WLAD ANY CHANCE AGAINST LEWIS AT THAT TIME OR PROBABLY ANYTIME IN HIS CAREER.
BUT YEAH GOLOTA CANT STAND UPTO THE BIG PUNCHERS AND THAT SHOULD BE THE TELLING FACTOR.

Yeah but I Mercer had 7 years to age inbetween those two fights, and Norris only had 7 months. So let me get this straight a 97% KO % is not a big puncher? I won't mention Lewis, but Grant = 77%, and Bowe = 80%.

Golota has never won a big fight against a big puncher in his entire career, so why would he start now? I see this fight going somewhat similarly to Klitschko/Norris with Golota playing the part of Norris. Its also a crime that Norris took Golota the distance when he couldn't last a minute against Vitali.
