slightly off topic but what do you think is next for lacy now? He obviously thinks he is still up there with the best at SMW from this interview. Personally, I would like to see a matchup with Mundine. Would be quite the clash in styles but neither are huggers so could be quite an entertaining fight.

I only saw the Taylor fight and I didn't think he was excessively hugging say e.g. like Hopkins in the Winky fight :P Of course, he is going to hug if he just took a good shot and is trying to not get KO'd.

Calzaghe to beat Hopkins on points. Close though as Bernard has a lot of ring craft but I think is just too slow.
If that happens and Joe retires then I wouldn't really like that.
Would like to see him take on Pavlik or maybe even Mundine. I think Calzaghe would beat Pavlik because of speed also but a Mundine fight would be very entertaining with 2 of the quickest around in 168 going at it. I still think Calzaghe would win but you never know in this sport :)
This would be a good fight, i can see Hatton workin ODLH body over and ending it like Hopkins... But shit if i had to bet id say Hatton by 11rd TKO!
No way. Hatton has a good left body shot but it definitely doesn't have the power that Hopkins had when he fought DLH. I reckon DLH would win it on points if they fight.
yes I agree that Hopkins landed the cleaner punches. But even after that, I cannot see how someone who is on the backfoot for 12 rounds and lands about half as many as the other guy could possibly be scored as the winner. (Yes I agree that the 1st round knockdown was legitimate but I certainly don't think it was a punch that hurt Joe, he got hit by a lot more from Kessler IMO)

I had Geale up by 1 point. Many rounds were very close. Mundine started to land cleaner shots between the 8th and 10th I thought but Geale was pressing forward and landing more but not too many flush power shots. Mundine does have great defence but I still thought Geale won that. Especially as Mundine was the challenger and I don't think he did enough to win some of the rounds as the challenger.
Barry Michael and Andy Raymond are an embarresment to Australian boxing, with their commentating ,favouring Mundine!..If Mundine thinks he is a contender amongst the elite after last nights performance, than he is an idiot....Great effort by Geale, he is a super nice guy and deserved the win, but as usual,the bullshit judges gave it to Mundine.

Give him a big fight. I want to see him get flogged :) I think he is getting slower now and as that is his main attribute thinks probably won't go too well. He got hit more last night than I have seen in any fight. (inlcuding Kessler IMO)
I love it how people still aren't taking Joe seriously and saying that he has to fight a younger fighter to prove his ATG status. He already beat BHop and I am pretty sure there were about a million threads claiming his legend status after beating Pavlik. Roy Jones is only 2 years older than Joe so why is it his fault that some claim that Roy is shot? It's not like Joe is a spring chicken either.
Rematch with Hopkins would be a good finish but I don't think it would be an entertaining fight like we saw today. I REALLY loved watching this fight. Probably would have been even better if it happened 5 years ago but you get what you get and I am VERY happy with the quality of fight I saw today :)

Does Bhop really need the money or what? I think he is still an ok boxer (bloody good for his age) but against younger fighters I think is now out of his league.
He can win matches on points with his style (boring thesedays) but if Pavlik can't beat him then it will certainly show a lot of Pavlik fans. Much in the same way that would have happened if old popkings could have beaten Calzaghe.
I will still watch the fight. I am in Australia and most of my mates won't even know Kelly Pavlik and only a few know Bhop but fuck it, I love boxing so I will watch it. Marked down in the diary :)
