I find it sad that so many people care about this crap. i dont give a rats ass about MMA n the UFC but it really does make them look pathetic if this circus happens.
I'm leaning towards Canelo simply because I think GGG age is starting to show....he looked like he slowed down a step or two in the last fight although I did have him clearly winning the fight. Canelo is a very intelligent fighter who is only getting better at the moment ..I believe he will learn a lot from the last fight correct his mistakes and win the rematch. having said that though I hope Golovkin wins...I like Canelo but I'm sorry I cant be pulling for a fighter whos got the machine behind him ie Golden Boy HBO. Hes young hes a huge ppv star..i get it..but I don't care about any of that I just want the best man to win.
I'm quite excited for this fight. Sure its a couple years after I would have hoped to see it...but it is what it is. I think the first 3-4 rounds will be very interesting but Wilder will eventually get the timing of Ortiz movement down and land something big n hurt Ortiz. Wilder by KO in the 6th round after a fun fight.
AJs style is made for Wilder. AJ is very slow and flat footed....has zero head movement. That's perfect for Wilder to Jab Jab Jab until eventually he times up a right hand bomb that lands clean. If he hurts AJ like Wlad did he will finish him. I have no doubt about that. Having said that though...I don't think Hearn n AJ have any intention of giving us the fans this fight this year. The word is Hearn already has a date booked for AJ to fight Big Baby Miller in the states after the Parker fight. JUST GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!
Vanes is talking real reckless about Sulecki. I believe Sulecki will beat the dog**** out of him. Supposed to be happening in march as a title eliminator.
re
brand new to the forum. I thought Szpilka was winning a close fight. I'm Polish though so perhaps I'm biased when saying that. I do really believe he was giving Wilder a bit of a boxing lesson however Deontay is packing a bazooka in that right hand n it can lay out any man on the planet. it was a fun fight just sucks the way it ended from a polish fans perspective ofcourse.
calling Szpilka a bum is disrespectful. I think his performance spoke for itself up until the knockout. Someone said he wasn't a top 10 guy at the time of the fight. That's actually incorrect I believe he was in the top 10 heavys in every major boxing federation. I believe he was #9 in WBC at the time. I don't like calling fighters bums even when they prolly are. Stepping in to the ring and fighting for a living is to be respected in my opinion. Any fighter that earns himself a shot at the title I don't consider a bum. More appropriate term would be NOT ELITE but pretty good for a guy like Szpilka.
Amazing to see so many people hard at work fluffing Wilder's c*ck.
Watching the Wilder szpilka fight is giving me a laugh of how bad Wilder is. lol. Its funny, at times Szpilka was mocking Wilder as much as Saunders was Lemiux. lol.
Yes... Wilder has huge power due to his size... but his skills? LOL.
Would love to see the battle of the apes... Wilder vs Ustinov.
Wilder reminds me a lot of Kydrashov. Insane power and knocked out anyone he got his hands on.... that is until he fought someone (Dorticos) with any boxing skills.
Wilder is a blow up waiting to happen. He looks great fighting punching bags like Stiverne and Martin.... but he needs pure luck when he finally fights someone who is in the top 5.
I hear what your saying and agree to a certain extent but that right hand is a serious game changer. If/when Wilder vs AJ happens I would favour Wilder. Wilder does have a good jab and if he connects with the right the way WLAD did on AJ. Wilder will finish the job.
haha I find it really funny that many people have AGENDAS in the boxing community. I always call it how I see it. The main thing I want to see is GREAT FIGHTS. There's fighters I really like to watch such as Spence Lomachenko etc but I'm nobodys FANBOY. Lets have great fights and deserving fighter getting the W.
The fight was close but Lara took a lot of big powerful shots especially on the inside. My hat goes off to both guys for such a wonderful and dramatic fight. i would be ok with seeing a rematch but i would prefer to see Hurd vs Charlo next.
Sulecki is probably pretty close in size
Height wise sure...but everyone knows how big Jacobs rehydrates. I'm a Polish boxing aficionado so of course il be watching regardless. I just don't think the fight makes sense for Sulecki apart from it being a big payday. Why not stay at super welterweight? Fight Vanes M in the title eliminator for Charlo and see where you stand. Don't think he would beat Charlo anyway but I would give him a chance against Hurd and Sadam Ali.
still hoping this fight dosnt get made. Sulecki has unfinished business at super welter. If the fight does happen I assure you its only because the $ is too good for Sulecki to turn down. Jacobs is simply way too big for him. I was originally very critical of Sulecki for potentially taking this fight but from his perspective main eventing on HBO vs a big name like Jacobs is too good an offer. For sure his biggest payday.
Well, Sulecki lacked a bit of one punch power at 154 so I can't see him putting a number on a big guy like Jacobs.
They are both tall but Jacobs is stronger/heavier, they both have speed/skills but I think Danny will outgun Sulecki. Sulecki might be more active than Danny but still...
Don't get me wrong Sulecki beat down any MW out of the TOP 5 but if you ask me Jacobs is around #2 in the MW division.
The only scenario where I could see Sulecki beating Jacobs is if he was draining his body too much to make 154 since he was a very big SWW and would end finally stronger and more comfortable at 160.
Again, Sulecki got skills and a victory wouldn't surprise me, but I clearly favor Jacobs.
agreed 100%
Canelo has respectable power but for him to say he hurt and scared GGG is hilarious. Canelo is smoking crack rock if he believes that. Golovkin came to fight... Canelos tactic was to survive and hope to land a big counter punch that would win him the fight. He did land a couple big shots unfortunately for him GGG walked right through em like it was nothing. That's not saying Golovkin dosnt respect Canelos power or skill...if that was the case he would have completely opened up with some wild offensive attacks but he never did. IMO both guys failed to deliver on what they promised. The fight was good but overall looking back at it.... it did not live up to the massive build up and hype. Having said that Golovkin clearly did more the enough to win.
I'm Polish and although Sulecki is very skilled and great to watch...this would be an absolutely idiotic fight for him to take. Why move up in weight to fight Danny Jacobs who is too big for Sulecki when he was in position to fight Vanes M for a title eliminator vs Charlo? If this happens it is clearly just a payday Sulecki can not turn down. I hope this does not happen and Sulecki takes on Vanes M as originally planned. Jacobs is simply wayyyyy to big for Sulecki.
This whole situation is becoming comical to me. I don't want to call AJ a coward but Eddie hearn is a total *****. If AJ beats parker I want him to come out and say he wants the Wilder fight next...otherwise it becomes obvious to me they are ducking that fight. Whyte is a solid top 10-15 Heavy...but Wilder would destroy him....GIVE THE POPLE WHAT THEY WANT! Wilder vs AJ
I'm not taking any shots at anyone on here but it still boggles my mind how many people care about this Floyd vs Mcgregor BS. This crap shouldn't even be given any attention from the boxing community. Let the mma ****boys support this garbage if they want.
Being Polish I really like Szpilka but im afraid the best part of his career may be over. The brutal KO from Wilder is the kind of KO that ends you. I hope im wrong and Artur shows off his boxing skill and wins a UD. Its either that or Chisora KO.
Being Polish this L really hurts. il keep it 100 though...we all know how Adam fights. All out WAR from the first bell...open exchanges. His defense often times is his face/head which is a recipe for disaster in terms of a long term career plan. Having said all this....Adam wrecked Szpilka Kiladze Washington and beat Charles Martin. Everything pointed to Kownacki beating Helenius and it looked like evryting was on course. Helenius looked tired and hurt a few times. In the 4th the first time Adam went down( it was a legit KD, he caught a counter right hand that HURT him very badly) the fight was over. His reckless wide open style set his career back by at least a year. If this was just a situation where he got caught with a shot then he will be back. HOWEVER!...If this is a sign of his chin/head starting to show the effects of previous fights then he is in serious trouble because hes a BRAWLER and im not sure hes really capable of changing his style/ improving his defense much. Congrats to Robert Helenius on his victory. Win Loss or Draw us Polaks will continue to show up and support Adam Kownacki. Chin up ADAM! Time to rest...then go back to the drawing board.
Why do I have a terrible feeling this fight wont end up happening? Hard to defend Ortiz history with PEDS but I believe most professional athletes take PEDS. Hopefully the fight happens and its entertaining
I'm a Polish boxing fan. Sulecki is a very good fighter he beat the crap out of Centeno who is now fighting Charlo and in his last fight he beat Jack Culcay. I was hoping Sulecki would fight Martirosyan in the WBC title eliminator but clearly this is a bigger fight in terms of money and prestige. Main eventing on HBO is a huge deal for Sulecki he will show up to fight and to win. Having said that thought Jacobs is the favorite that's for sure. Also Artur Szpilka may be on the card in case anyone cares lol.
I find this whole situation interesting because to me it was a huge robbery however I am always open to discussion and sharing opinions with others. There really seems to be many people who truly believe Harrison won this fight.
