Vanes is talking real reckless about Sulecki. I believe Sulecki will beat the dog**** out of him. Supposed to be happening in march as a title eliminator.
What does that even mean. Dude fought 3 quality fights/events in a row.
A Charlo, a Mayweather PPV fight and a title fight.
Dude has always been delusional. Some of his gripes have been legit, but had he had the balls to face Kirkland he probably would have beat him and then had the momentum to make that Canelo fight he was chasing. But he passed on it.
Fighters with no fanbase have to work harder, but he's always acted like the opportunities should be handed to him because he beat a few C fighters.
Vanes says he has a fight in March on ESPN. You might be correct.
Amir Imam is on ESPN as well. A limited partnership with Arum and King makes sense. King is not a threat anymore. Arum has all of these ESPN dates he needs to fill. Stiverne or Molina could also make sense as a Bryant Jennings opponent at some point.
What the hell happened to Vanes?
Got a title shot and came up short under Top Rank, got two title shots with Haymon and again came up short both times, wanted another title shot that Haymon couldn't deliver straight away, and then chose to sign to Don King because King told him that he could deliver the title shot.
Two years of sitting around, King finally has Vanes on the cusp of a title shot, but he's not set to have to go through a young, peaking fighter with ability who's been kept active the whole time Vanes was resting (to line up a fourth title shot, against Jermell Charlo, a fighter he's still likely not good enough to beat).
Would be funny if it weren't so sad
Correct. The talent signs with Haymon Boxing. PBC is just the name of a television series. When PBC first launched, Showtime resisted having to brand their telecasts as PBC, but Al created enough leverage with the time buys to get Showtime to #1 - massively increase their budget and #2 - co-brand as PBC.
That was a smart thing to do. The only non PBC fights on SHO are ShoBox shows and a few of those were PBC.
Technically no one has a PBC contract. Just all under Haymon and he sends them to whatever network. So a PBC show (Fox, CBS, Bounce and at that time NBC and Spike) and SHO we all know what it was.

His contract was with Al Haymon, not PBC. PBC is just the name of a TV show. Back then, Al didn't have the leverage yet to co-brand Showtime's events as PBC, but that doesn't change which fights Al got for Vanes.
Vanes thought the grass was greener on the other side and he was wrong. Was definitely better staying with Al. Would have fought again by now and likely for a title.

When was the last time Don King put on a card? He has a few fighters (Stiverne, Amir Imam, Carlos Molina the HVY) but they've all been a part of other promotions cards. He actually won the purse bid for Vanes vs Sulecki. So he actually has to put on this event, right?
Could give the fight to Arum to put on ESPN possibly?
At that time PBC was about fights on free tv, so ppv and showtime don't count, that was showtime championship boxing and showtime pay per view.

What an idiot :lol1:

What do you mean they don't count? Showtime has always been a part of PBC. They said this at the initial press conference.

Dude is delusional. Under PBC he fought:
Jermell Charlo; Ishe Smith on Mayweather-Berto PPV card and Erislandy Lara in a SHO main event.
