With all the hub-bub of who won the Peter/Toney fight, it's easy to forget that what everyone got to see was a really great HW fight. I just finished watching the fight and I gotta say that I think James Toney won that fight by about 3 points. Even with that in mind I agree that some of those rounds were really hard to judge. All this added up to be one hell of a HW boxing match. No matter what your opinion is on who actually won the fight, just be thankful that it was entertaining at the very least. I hope to see more stuff like this in the future. Big props to Toney (whom i had big doubts about) for sticking it through with the biggest puncher in the league.

Okay so we all know that Tysons last fight was pretty terrible. A once great champ goes out to a no name loser like McBride. However, I was really impressed with Tyson's demanor afterwards. He didn't make any excuses and treated everyone with suprising respect. Maybe this "kinder" Tyson was part of his reason for losing, but to me it felt really good to see him finally show some class. Yeah, he quit but at least he admitted that he lost his heart of the game. This doesn't make him a coward or heartless in my eyes. He is just burnt out. It happens to the best of us. I really hope he can find something that allows him time to spend with his family and such. Good luck Iron Mike. It's been a fun ride.

Did Tszyu really defeat Judah or do you think the knockout was called too eairly? One thing that definatly cannot be argued is that Zab got his world rocked. However, I recall while watching the film that the commentaors said something about "if a fighter falls back down after standing up the ref stops the fight." Is that a real rule or just something a ref normally does? I seem to remeber Berbeck getting up like 3x in the fight against Tyson and the ref counted him out. Anyway. Opinions anyone?

Why did he push George Foreman at a press conferance? I know this is hardly worth a whole thread but I'm curious.

Just to let you know i think this is highly unlikley, but still. Can Ruiz actually put up a good enough performance to win? What if he *gasp* KO'd Toney? What would your innitial reaction be?

Do you think this would or could ever happen? I know it's been said in previous articles and such that they would never fight each other. However, if Wlad becomes champ again and Vitali wants to unify and the money and hype is right, do you think they would do it? I know Vitali is always talking about trying to give the fans what they want. At least that's what he says when trying to bring Lennox Lewis out of retirement. Personally, i don't think it'll ever happen. Being the oldest of 4 brothers, I couldn't see myself fighting them for money. Also, the Klitschko's bonds between them are too strong that they wouldn't want to see each other get hurt. I guess I"m just looking to see what everyone else thinks about this.

Had McCall not broken down (I don't know the story behind why he did, so if you want to enlighten me feel free) do you think he could have beaten Lewis again? He seemed to handle him pretty well the first time.

I just watched the fight with Larry Holmes, and this kid shouldn't have even been in the same arena as Holmes. He did even worse against Tyson. Was there ever a fight where he showed any potential for greatness? Holmes just embarresed the crap outta him. It was funny as hell!

I don't know what he's been up to latley besides commentary, but I'm wondering if he's ever going to fight again. To my knowledge he hasent' retired yet. Is anyone up to date on this?

Anyone else disssapointed that he never really got to fight some of the better heavyweights? For a while there was all this talk of him perhaps facing Lennow Lewis, Evander Holyfield, and Mike Tyson. Now, Tyson is the only one if could ever possibly face, and that doesn't look like a likley thing to happen. Maybe he'll make a strong comeback and challenge Brustar or Byrd, but, I don't think he's up for at anymore. Anyway, i just wondered how he would fair against some of these other great heavywieghts.

I mean, he's proven himself against some of the better fighters in the heavyweight devision. Do you think it's possible he'll join some of the greats? What else does he have to do to prove himself before he joins the ranks of Lewis, Ali, ect?

It seems like the Heavyweight devision has gone down the tubes as of late. I mean, i like Klitschko and all, but he's pretty sloppy. Especially when compared to some of the fighters from the Golden Age of boxing. (Ali, Norton, Holmes ect.) Who will be able to really give Vitali a challenge?
