too bad once he's gone you dog eating g00ks will be gone u *****s fail at sports 0 ****s in mlb, wwe, soccer, mma, etc no famous comedians actors, musicians your food sucks and you chanks are ugly
Wow...this guy is asking for trouble...lol. What a dik! Check out his post history. Such anger...:scared: "peeleft:
i meant the outcome would be similar, not the means. Manny and Floyd are like opposites, but they are both p4p the best, that's why everybody wants this fight so bad.
Dawson outclassed him?
What fight were you watching?
you could argue that Dawson is the more skilled fighter but how the hell did he outclassed him? His own fault for lacking that killer instinct
I would bet on Dawson beating Pascal in a rematch.
Floyd would pull a Manny on Cotto. Floyd and Manny are in a league of their own. Floyd would counter the shit out of Cotto, but not being a pressure fighter, would pot-shot him for 12 rounds, resulting in Cotto getting frustrated mid-fight and avoiding Floyd.
You got a lot of great advice here so far i see...especially from MikeRo1972 and Rockin'. All i can say is stay off the ropes even in sparring. I mean, if you don't plan to fight off the ropes, why do it in sparring? Seems your wasting time that could be spent learning better habits, like footwork...that "back and forth" thing that Cotto does with his feet makes me nervous, for some reason.
It seems to me i see him doing it when he starts having problems. I don't know why, but it just doesn't look useful to me. And i agree with not making noises when you throw or jab. It might help your opponent become aware of patterns you might have.
i would only be repeating any other constructive criticism that's already been posted, but i say you're lookin' good...just keep in mind that bad habits are easy to make, and hard to break. Keep up the good work bud, and stay off the ropes! :drillserg
Cheers, Ive never actually seen that, only heard about it. He was shook up pretty badly. He's learned a lot since then and polished his game up. He's gonna win the tourney. Froch ain't beating him.
he can do it with the right gameplan.
i think if the marg that showed up in the pac fight shows up , cotto will be in trouble though.
marg looked like the old marg to me in the pac fight.
Neither guys are what they used to be...in their 1st fight, they both put quiet a beating on each other, a very competitive fight, irregardless of the outcome, Shane took something away from him, and Pac took something out of Cotto and Margo.
i think Margo took more damage, and i agree, with Steward helping him, he can win. He has to fight smart. Margo is still a live dog, and has the blueprint on how to beat Cotto.
The uppercuts that broke Cotto's nose and he was swallowing blood the whole fight fuked his endurance, he could hardly breathe. Gonna be a totally different fight this time. It won't be an easy night for either guy, i see no big advantages for either, so i expect it to last awhile.
I favor Cotto to win, and not just cuz I'm a fan, but because of the history each has had. I will bet on Cotto. But he's in for a rough night.
cotto: if i fight margarito somebody is going to be in the dressin room
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"we do not want that what happened the first time happen again." in that statement cotto is sayin that he was aware that margarito was ilegal in the first fight. something to keep in mind is that since then, his last two fights, he lost,
Seems to me, this statement by Cotto himself says it all. Not only that, Margo admitted he's been taking energy pills for a long time. That would indeed account for his high endurance levels and his consistent high punch volume. What's to stop him from taking them before they get to the dressing room??
Why all the hoopla about him in his dressing room before the Pac fight? Why we don't hear this kind of thing about/from other boxers?
Mind you, i am not stating anything, simply reflecting what's been said.
Damn straight, I was shocked to see people angry with Bradley. He fought a good fight, and it's not his fault that Arum wanted a rematch and screwed Pac.
^^Prime example of a good, sane post. :boxing:
i look at Tim as a victim of a corrupt boxing system. No way he won that fight. he even admitted it by saying "i just couldn't beat the dude", and "I'll have to go watch the fight to see if we won".
If i were him I'd at least be feeling pretty much in conflict as a victim. Not his fault.
You guys seriously compare Pac-Bradley to Pac-JMM?
Pac-JMM is so close hence people tend to go to who they root for.
Pac-Bradley, now that's a circus.
Seriously, if you think both are the same then you should stop watching boxing.
Good post. The pac-bradly fight was nowhere NEAR close, Bradley, though he fought great and showed heart, and was competitive, he very clearly lost almost every round. It should be overturned.
If i were Bradley, I would be feeling very, very ashamed by this farce of a decision, if it isn't a set-up by Arum or some other agenda of his.
IMO Pac started changing after he saw what he did to Margarito. His will to really want to hurt/ko his opponent seemed to change after that.
i think you may be right on with that statement Lorily. He could have blinded Tony if he went for the ko, and he knew it. Maybe his concience got to him.
if you agree Lederman's card and gave Manny 11 rounds like those dickriders on HBO did then you don't get to critique the judges cards
Keep it movin', and go argue with the poll, son.
Edit; i don't always agree with Lampley and Steward, and admit they aren't always right, but Lederman always comments on why he scores the rounds the way he does, and i usually can see he's being reasonable.
Not that your retort deserves a response, but i gave you one anway.
He was busy chasing Bradley cuz Bradley kept eating straight lefts and didn't want to stay in the pocket with pac. He got tired from following him. Even Roach told him in the corner to stop following Bradley.
Looking forward to the rematch.
Thanks man, so am I. I hope they do a 24/7 on it...that would be awesome with the controversial backround these 2 have! Whatever happens, i see another long, tough fight.
lol what if's this happened and he lost already let him live his life, it seems like you guys believe he doesnt have it anymore, this is sad his fans letting him down
Wtf? ^^??
I doubt it would have made that big a difference. Margarito would have just pushed him off and stuffed uppercuts into his head, he was the bigger man.
the only way it would have saved him was if it was a ****ty ref who automatically paused the action every time the fight got to close range.
clinching is illegal. refs need to realize this more often.
Yeah, it was those vicious uppercuts that did the most damage...they happened early in the fight and between the broken nose, swallowing blood most of the fight, his endurance was fuked. His endurance was fine in the Mosley and Clottey fights, his 2 other most difficult ones he won.
Cotto's defense against uppercuts suck. Work on that and he's a got a good chance on avenging that loss. His confidence seems to be ok, especially after the Mayo fight, regardless of what anybody says about mayo performance, Cotto needed that win and got it.
if he lost to Mayo i doubt he would have the confidence he needs to beat marg.
Cotto needs to work on defense, especially from uppercuts...he's pretty prone to them. Margo busted Cotto's nose in the 1st or 2nd round...forgot which, but because his breathing was hampered and swallowing blood + pain from the broken nose...if that stuff didn't happen so early, his chances of winning would have improved quite a bit.
I am confident that if he improves his defense and him and Steward come up with a good gameplan, he can beat margo. I'll bet on it. I don't think he needs to clinch, so much as go to the body as has been said, and if he's so "against it", why force him to?
I just watched the fight. This was more than a robbery, something fishy is going on. No way in hell Bradley won that fight. i completely agree with Lederman's card that Tim only won the 10th rd, and even that was very close.
I can't believe what i just witnessed. Pac and Arum were very accepting of the "robbery", then i read Arum is having fits about it. I smell a fix in the works to set up a rematch for more $$ for Arum. He's gotta be the sleaziest weasel in the sports world.
Bradley was eating straight lefts all night long. He hardly landed anything on Pac. And he was backing away from him most of the fight. But he did make the fight competitive, i can't take everything away from him, but he definitely did NOT win this fight. He should be ashamed of himself for going along with it, if he was really honest.
Even he said he has to watch the fight again to see if he won. What "winner" has to say that? Wow...just wow.
And Pac wasn't very adamant about a rematch. He usual..."ahhhh my promoters" response...what the fuk?? I just don't get this shit. This fight was broken before it even started.

"I have to go home and watch it to see if I won the fight"
I think Pac will fairly easily beat Bradley, not taking anything away from Bradley, i think he's good, but just not near Pac's league. Pac is elite, Bradley hasn't reached this status.....yet. And may never. Just my 2¢.
Pac looked fine, Bradley looked very competitive, showed heart, determination, never stoppped trying to win, therefore making it look like pac didn't look that good. bradley won 1, maybe 2 rounds.
