Dont forget that Cotto cuts easy. And we are talking about a precision puncher in Floyd.
Being cut doesn't equate to being beat up though.
But we'll see, he hasn't cut in his last two fights, which has I hope allowed his skin tissue to heal a bit more. He took some hard hits against Mayorga but the bruising wasn't too bad.
Clottey used his head to 'bust' Cotto up. Stop trolling dude. He couldn't bust up a Lightweight who jumped up 2 weight classes eating Twinkies, and he couldn't bust up Mosley who couldn't throw a punch after 4 minutes

Upset?
Not a chance in hell
Man Cotto was getting busted up by Clottey....Mayweather will break Cotto down and bust him up

Cotto-Mayweather is a damn good fight & an upset is possible. That's why the fight doesn't happen.
Mayweather isn't fighting "nobody" until his uncle gets out & u can bet that!!!
PRPP :boxing:
I wouldnt wish this beating on Cotto. Just walk away Miguel.
Like the beating he has given out to every fighter in the WW division. Stop trolling dude. He'd probably win comfortably like 8-4, but he isn't putting a beating on anyone.
THEN DO IT ALREADY AND COLLECT THE MILLIONS!
:purity:
That's what I always says. If it is such an easy fight for Floyd why not make it. With Cotto he (Floyd) could do more than with any of the other fighter except PAc of course.
Cotto has enough of a fan base that would bring in the money that Floyd likes.
IMO Floyd might look to fight Khan cause of his bigger fan base and would bring him more money from overseas. Khan also is a much safer opponent.
JCC jr now is a full MW and I doubt Floyd would go anywhere near that weight. I think Floyd was checking out Berto in order to jump in there with him. Ortiz should be in the mix too
Would be a good comeback fight.
Sure, I'd watch Cotto break Floyd down. Floyd's right will be neutralized by his fear of Cotto's left hook to the body so it will be low and tucked into his side all night.
That just leaves Floyd's jump hook and jab to watch out for. Half of the time, Floyd will be in shoulder roll mode which prevents him from using the left at all. Cotto should go left hook to the body and straight right. Do it a ew times here and there so that Floyd anticipates it, then next time he goes for the left hook to the body, Floyd will be ready to shoulder roll the right and shoot a left uppercut in the gap as Floyd is turning. Once he stuns Floyd with that punch, throw the straight right down the pike and pop his nose to pieces.
