The only reason why you watch boxing is because you are gay and enjoy watching men sweat.

Yea, i thought so.

Did you really try to make a gay joke?
Homophobia is for mental weaklings. And anyway it would be better aimed at the people who posted the gay pics.
Scratch that, Arreola is the real hypejob here, he's not close to top 5.
Arreola is a few notches below Haye. I understand why Haye, to an inexperienced boxing observer, LOOKS like a legitimate challenger. Arreola on the other hand is quite clearly an exciting third-tier fighter who could never rise through the ranks the hard way.
Nah. It's nothing on the basis of what he's doing in the ring.
Wlad and Vitali are living their dream. They've both had dominant wins in which neither of them even got touched. You can talk about whomever you like, but we all know what's going to happen.
Fuсk off, harlot.
A Heavyweight champion who could capture America like Tyson did would be good for boxing.
Is it good for boxing in Germany, Russia, the Philippines, and the UK, where some of the big fanbases, TV stations, and promotional companies are?
Boxing doesn't even need America. We are one small country with about 5% of the world's population
Dimitrenko was touched too often even in his last win against Krasniqi. He landed a classic bodypunch to end it, but before that Krasniqi was landing his jab and also getting inside to land.
This is the kind of fight that should happen. But Arreola is on Wlad's list, and HBO probably won't risk anything less after his difficulties in the Walker fight
You gotta understand the psychology of this shit, you fuсking coward.
Fights and fighters that can get the attention of people who aren't fight fans turn them into fans.
Anytime you can make a fan out of someone who never before gave a shit about boxing...
...IT'S GOOD FOR BOXING.
Is it good for boxing that the illiterates on this site troll about Paul Williams or David Haye?
you dismiss the question? tyson has like 8 of the top 10 highest selling pay-per-views of all-time. you know what that means? he attracted people to boxing such as myself. without tyson, I don't know if I would have even been a boxing fan.
If you assume, which I don't, that PPVs with more sales are "good for boxing," then the Tyson question still is not answered. Tyson also made boxing disreputable among mainstream media and respectable Americans.
jealousy is not your color.
:wtf: is this guy talking about.
There are more than a billion people in China, very few of whom are yet to purchase boxing matches. What does jealousy have to do with anything?
Suck cock, scum skin.
It's easier for a Great American fighter to capture World recognition than it is for a Great German fighter.
Why? Because there's been so many other Great American fighters before him.
So it's always best that things stay the same?
We all know Haye has a slim chance of being successful, but we boxing fans are actually happy that there is some excitement in the division that is SUPPOSED to be exciting. You seem to dislike that.
Wlad methodically destroying opponents without ever taking a punch is exciting. Vitali putting on one of the greatest performances in HW history is exciting.
To you maybe some guy talking trash in a mall is more exciting. But everyone who follows the HWs knows that at least ten of today's fighters would be favored over your anointed one.
What a stupid, poorly thought out thread this is. I have no idea what inspired the threadstarter to make this thread. Its not very difficult to think of things that would be "good for boxing."
A young heavyweight like a new mike tyson type of boxer would be great for the sport of boxing. The heavyweight division needs more excitement. Tyson brought in many new boxing fans in the late 80's. He was the first boxer i liked. Floyd mayweather brought many fans to the sport. Im confused as to why this thread was made, it makes no sense. The threadstarter should not be allowed to make threads.
You are a lowlife. It's not good for boxing that poorly educated trash like you follow it.
oh absolutely, I just kinda assumed that goes without saying. But whatever, I've watched enough boxing to know I'm never gonna find that great atheist champion to root for; boxers are a pious lot. But Cunningham shows logical consistency, so I gave him his props.
The Klitschkos
It's not that he's not American, it's that he fought his prime away from American TV. What we learned in the Lacy fight is that the best fighter of his generation hadn't appeared on TV here. The consequence of that for an honest individual is that our television networks don't have a monopoly on boxing, that a career in Europe is as good as a career fighting in Vegas on HBO. That's too hard to admit for people who aren't yet ashamed that we call our domestic champions in baseball and basketball 'world champs'.
Lol, if Dawson fights either Hopkins or Calzaghe then I'm betting ALL of my points. I have ran this fight down and analyzed over a dozen times, and i can't see neither of them beating Chad. For someone to trouble Dawson, they will have to have power and bring educated pressure with a little skill with it, like a light heavyweight version of Margarito or Pavlik.
Kid, Chad Dawson makes for a very easy fight for Calzaghe. This will be the easiest prediction of '09 if it comes off. Dawson will compete for two or three rounds and then become entirely befuddled by Joe's shifting rythms. This is the worst fight Dawson could ever take.
Calzaghe would be a terrible choice for Dawson. He can't match up there and will be embarassed. Hopkins is only a slightly better pick.
Chad should take it slow and fight Diaconu
there appears to be a perception that if a title contender fights a Euro and losses he's a bum, all the while disregaurding that the same level of contender are littering the American fighters resume and are refered to as decent opposition.
Good point. Hopkins fought competition in his title defenses at 160 that was slightly worse than what Joe fought. But that fact is too hard for some of these people to comprehend.
