Pretty damn good performance from Green I felt.It wasn't exciting, and it's not something I'll look to watch again in future, but a very good performance regardless.
Green showed more class and boxing skills in those twelve rounds than I've ever seen out of someone like Marco Huck.
Green has a jab,he uses it well and he's consistent with it.Flores was a little hesitant, but against a puncher like Green, who did show the ability to counter effectively at times, you can expect a little tentativeness.
On a more important and relevant matter,Flores mother must have popped him out when she was really young.Middle aged mothers aren't supposed to look that good.
Yeah good post in my eyes. I thought Green landed the much better shots, way to much posing from Flores. Flores would come in.. stand there and then take a jab to the face and Green would circle out.. basically happened all fight. I think i had it 118-110 aswell, sounds wide, but Flores just didn't do enough to pinch anymore then 2-3 rounds. Even the U.S judge gave it wide, so its definately not a product of a home decision.
As for the undercard... well its always pretty sad when a country has less then 200 registered pro fighters.
Overall wasn't wowed by either, but thought Green did a nice job of boxing a boxer.
Foolish of Mundine to fight on the ropes like that.
haha still wouldn't mind another look from the other angle.. looked pretty soft from that clip... rematch for $$ anyone?
whos lenny? Is he good or exciting:boxing::boxing:
Does he have a chance with the likes or marquez, rios,Or maybe a big
aussie showdown with katsidis:boxing:
i would love to see him fight katsdis, but it think his got miguel vasquez next. He will always have a punchers chance, but still needs some work

decent boxer puncher, has been down a few times though always comes back and stops them. Was a bit lack luster when he fought in the states.
Let me be honest with you guys though, I dont even think Khans chin is that bad.
I mean, look at Katsidis. He gets dropped twice in one round by Casamayor, for tiny short shots. why? Cause he was tense as a motherfucker. Same with Khan.
but i think the main difference is that kat was stopped on his feet.
interesting you ask about the names because i was wondering about that also. I did however stumble across some Australian boxing on youtube and one of the guest commentators asked about the thai names, the other guy on the panel said that many of the thai's take on their gym names because of the length of their last names. :boxing:
i think they are nothing alike in regards to personality. Hamed was a cocky shit, where as vic might talk the boxing talk, but his really quite a humble person.
i'd love to see the fight, both take shots and give em back twice as good. I just feel that arce will land flush early and will find darchinyan still coming through them. So i'd lean towards vic via a late ko/tko, i just hope the fight comes off.
i have seen him fight over here in australia. i remember the commentators saying... he wont bowl over this guy his the former australian smw champ etc... 30 secs later the fight was over.
bit late i mentioned the other champ 2 or 3 posts above. Im just wondering if st clair will stay motivated enough to hold onto his title, i sure hope so.
its actually a big month for australian fighters (based in australia anyway). We have Vic Making his defense, Bika taking on Joe and Briggs v adamak II.
i like watching him because its always entertaining, but i dont think he has the skills or mental toughness to make it big. Lets not forget if it wasnt for gloves holding his fingers back... we dont know what might happen...
on another note though, i do like humonau (sorry for the spelling). I think he has a decent base to work with and the right man in his corner.
