By DQ, or point deductions, it is my opinion that Hatton rapped Tszyu and Ricky's personal Ref Dave Parris, allowed Ricky to do this the entire night....low blows, rabbits, hitting after the break...it was disgusting...at least to me...
WTF, are you a fucking idiot? do you know what the hell you're talking about?
His favourite ref is Micky Vann, Jesus Christ.. everybody knows that.
;)
I know that too...but he still one of his favs....if Vann would ahve been teh Ref, we have had to book Ricky for "battery and assult with a deadly weapon", it would have been Million Dollar Baby shit
I've seen about 5 or 6 Hatton fights & he clinches way too much for me. I agree with Black Jesus in that the Tszyu fight became unwatchable because of the all of the clinching going on. Some of Hatton's fights are exciting because he gets hit alot but to me I wouldn't call him an exciting fighter.
i agree that it was neither fighters best.
the atmosphere was great and made the fight watchable though imo.
i personally dont like the hate that gets thrown at hatton for the so called "clinching" he does in every fight. when the only fight it was remotely bad in was the tszyu fight and kosta himself did as much as hatton.
I agree, the atmosphere was amazing and I thought it was a very enjoyable fight. I was rooting HUGE for Tszyu, and I was very disappointed that he quit. Hatton really impressed me that night, though, and credit to him for roughing up the champ to that degree.
I also thought Tszyu was treated unfairly, but I'm not convinced the outcome would have changed...but then again if the Tszyu KD counted (instead of being ruled a low blow) AND the ref took a point for Hatton's malicious counter-low blow, it becomes a much closer fight and maybe Kostya decides to gut it out in the 12th.
Here were the scores after 11:
Manuel Maritxalar 105-104 | Alfred Asaro 106-103 | Don Ackerman 107-102
If the round where Tszyu knocked Hatton down was ruled a legit KD, obviously Maritxalar would have had it at least a draw, and if he gave that round to Hatton, he would have had Tszyu ahead by one. By the same logic Asaro could have had it even. I'm not sure what Ackerman was watching.
On top of that, if the ref took a point for that low blow, Tszyu would have had a lead on two scorecards. BUT...Hatton probably doesn't throw that low blow if it was ruled a KD, so you probably could throw that out.
Anyway, bottom line is Kostya quit and STILL can't decide if he wants to fight again. Interesting nonetheless. I thought it was a good fight and I want to see another Hatton fight at MEN but that won't happen unless he goes back to Warren. Well, maybe we'll get a big Calzaghe (or Khan) fight there someday...
tszyu low blowed hatton twice before hatton retaliated.
as for the cliching it was 50-50 and what do you expect when two fighters come foward to meet each other.
i have never seen a hugging match like that in the lightweight division. thats no excuse, the holding was rediculous and at one point for me personally made for an unwatachable fight.
It seemed like they were both doing it. Either way, and who would have imagined it, Tszyu quit. My goodness, I thought that fight was going to be decided in the last round.
the shot that put hatton down was boarderline and could have easily been scored a knock down, as for hattons, kostya was pissing blood after the fight
Accumulated body shots make people piss blood. Being hit in the balls doesn't do that.
re watch the fight
both men cud of easily got dqd for excessive holding
but both holding wasnt ruiz type who fights in the states and as never been thrown out for it i dnt think
both men was uhggin klitchko style , hug hit push off the only difference is hattons all over u again the moment he throws u off
It was one helluva boring fight and Tszyu fights usually arent.
fuck are you talkin about, Castillo is more skilled then Hatton
Skill won't beat Mayweather.
Rape, which is employed heavily by Hatton, will beat Floyd.
Castillo beat Floyd with pressure. Even if the judges failed to be honest.
Ricky would fucking maul Pretty Boy.
See, I think Hatton's style is to much for Mayweather too.
I hope that's not just me.
Castillo knows what I'm talking about...

Hatton was at his very best that night and Tszyu wasn't going to deny him that night. Hatton's style is simply too much for Tszyu and that's why Tszyu was forced to quit.

i find it interesting that hatton finds a way to be very entertaining but still clinches a lot.
Kinda old school in that way.
And hatton knew his boundaries and worked them perfectly. He'd probably have waited till the 2nd warning to stop... but he never did get that warning...
And if they ever fight again, tszyu is far to old. Hatton stops him for real this time, and earlier. He'd make Tszyu wish he had quit :D
The blatant low blow from Hatton in round 8 (or 9?) came in retaliation to some borderline low blows from Kostya.
Tszyu blow was to the belt line...legal blow!!! Rickys...blatant foul
