I just got home from work and found out that Calvin Brock isnt going to be in the superfighter tourny. I thought to myself that it will still be good. Now Samuel Peter has pulled out! I was really looking forward to seeing him fight. I really hope nobody else drops out, but if they do, I would really like it if they were replaced with a good heavyweight and not sum bum ive never heard of.
Tony Tubbs wants to be added to the superfighter list. Ive never seen him fight b4 but I hear he 1 the last tourny like this about 10 yrs ago. He seems a bit old to me (48). Larry Donald is also showing interest.
If the wins and loses DONT count .. its SHIT... they are PRO Fighters fighting for MONEY.. that makes it a professional bout.. I dont care if it is a new format... A PRO WIN IS A WIN AND A PRO LOSS IS A LOSS.. make it COUNT and I will care..
Yeah this sucks. Peters people are slimey its possible he did agree to be in it and theyre just pulling because anyway. And yes id expect more names to drop at this point.
Damn thing sounded too good to be true and it was.
The same shit happened about 10 or so years ago with the HW tourney called fist full of dollars. Some of the good HW's pulled out and they were replaced with guys like Israel Garcia and shit.
Im begining to think that Chris Byrd will drop out next. He is already meant to be fighting on the 11th of nov. I really hope there will be some big name replacements. A few I would like to see as possible replacements are David Tua, Nikolay Valuev, Lamon Brewster, Kahli Meehan, Hasim Rahman. Maybe even Mike Mollo. I saw him knock the piss out of Kevin Mcbride on the Valuev/Barrett undercard. I think that is just wishful thinking on my behalf though.
Peter's people say he wont be in it, but he cant pull out unless they release him. Brock is only out because they released him.
Peter's people are saying he never was in it and superfighter is just using his name to hype it.
Yeah I'm still very skeptical about this whole superfighter thing. It is supposedly happening in one month, yet there has been no media attention. Also, I know that Chris Byrd is scheduled to fight Eliseo Castillo on November 11. If Chris Byrd pulls out, this thing will have lost its three biggest names.
