I just got back from watching the Green vs Murdoch fight. It was the first fight Ive attended. Gotta say I was dissapointed because I thought it would have lasted longer. Danny Green looks as good as he did when he was at his best. If he gets a title shot against the winner out of Silvio Branco and Stipe Drews, Ill be suprised if he doesnt come home with the belt
Guys Remember Paul Murdoch Defended That Title 13 Times Before Danny Came In And Destroyed Him Danny Is Easily Back To His Best And Remember What The Say About Murdoch Aparantley He Has 1 Of The Best Left Jabs In The World And It Looked The Other Way Round I Went I Was Happy To See Danny Also With The Advertising Yes It Wasnt The Best But If You Are On The Danny Green Web Site Or Email Suscription You Would Got To See Him Have A Sparring Session At Fed Sqaure N The Open Was Pretty Good By The Promoters A Week Before The Fight A Ring Oustide In The Middle Of Fed Sqaure It Was Good To Watch
To be honest I think danny fights to many bums, hes a good fighter one of my favourites but he just has to many "warmups" and when vsing murdoch i heard them say was rated #12 and Paul murdoch was the best he could get? paul murdoch was a very easy win for green very awkward fight but he was garbage, i really want to see green step up hes competition...
I cant see a rematch happening any time soon. I highly doubt that Green will want to shred the pounds to fight at super middleweight level again and I dont think Mundine would be interested in putting on weight to fight at Light heavyweight. It wasnt long ago I heard that Mundine was considering dropping down a weight class. Maybe when the day comes where Mundine doesnt have alot to loose we may see a rematch.
Am I the only one that really wants to see Paul Briggs vs Danny Green? Briggs would win this one so easily, it'd really be a good move for him to make it happen
would never happen mate.............no money in it and they are good friends too......
the only time this happens is if they are both at the end of their careers and there is an opportunity for a vacant title or something like that!!
Briggs has to be one of the best fighters out there not to be a champ!

well i'm sure both of them wouldn't mind making another couple mill each, but the public is a little more educated now...........it woudl take a lot of work to get toghether and i doubt it would happen.

Green always looks good against c level fighters and has so his whole career. Green won't win a world title. He couldn't or should I say didn't even try and land a punch on Mundine. Green should have watched Jeff Harding's first world title fight before he fought Mundine. Just to give himself an idea on what it really means to take it to the line and never die wondering. And if Danny had of landed a flush punch Mundine, he would have one the fight. I like Danny Green as a person but as a boxer he is KING OF THE BUMS.
The fight was in Parksville. Next door to the Melbourne zoo. Apparently its the home ground for the Melbourne Tigers basketball team. I agree, the publicity around here is terrible. If i want to know about fights around here, I have to look for them myself. If it wasnt for the internet, I wouldnt know about any fights.
The most entertaining fight of the night would have been the Adam Wills fight. I had never heard of him but he was entertaining. He was winning the fight and then he had his right eye busted pretty damn good, and the ref interupted the fight so the doctor could examine his eye, and the doc must have told him that he has to knock his opponent out b4 his eye got worse, so for the rest of the round, Adam Wills chased the guy around the ring throwing haymakers. But he didnt manage to knock him out in time and the ref called the fight off.
wasn't the fight in geelong?.........it isn't even on the australian news.com.au website yet or even foxsports.com.au..........shame on the promoters man
on the point of promoting..........................for all people out there.......i live in oz, in melbourne and this fight was in OZ and I'm a big boxing fan and I pretty much had no idea about this fight being on!!..............
the promoting down here is so crap and only aimed at PayTV............yes I did see an ad on foxtel paytv a few weeks back but that was it..........absolutely pathetic.
green has always been a good fighter, just that match-making by his promoters has been silly.......there are guys out there that he can beat and there are guys out there that he would struggle against.......so his dumb promoters should keep this in mind.........
then again, 3mil for one fight wasn't too bad!
Damn! Murdoch was supposed to be a serious test for Green
- a pretty decent contender & natural Light-Heavy.
Hell, the guy went 10 rounds Zsolt Erdei not too long ago.
Looks like Greens back in a big way.
