I think he has no chance against anyone with even mediocre skills to be honest. He is beating up on hand picked bums to hype him up a bit, but you can't take up boxing at his age and expect to go all the way. perhaps if he made the move years ago he could have some sort of career but not now. He also gives me the impression he wouldn't be able to go more than 3 or 4 rounds, that alone tells me he isn't that serious about a boxing career.
i like watching him because its always entertaining, but i dont think he has the skills or mental toughness to make it big. Lets not forget if it wasnt for gloves holding his fingers back... we dont know what might happen...
on another note though, i do like humonau (sorry for the spelling). I think he has a decent base to work with and the right man in his corner.
No i dont think he will have a chance against any average heavyweight, he always goes in there for the knockout everytime, he has only fought bums and hasnt gone many rounds and it doesnt look like he has much stamina to go the distance..
He always goes into the ring angry and looking to knockout the guy early, leaving himself wide open when hes dealing those big wide punches he throws, any decent boxer would counter on that and take him out easily, or just box him on the outside where you know Hopoate will easily get Frustrated.
He's also a very dirty fighter and i wont be suprised if he gets Disqualified when it comes down to a close and frustrating fight against a rather good opponent.. and if you have seen him fight and play rugby you will know why.
Havent heard of the guy, i'll look out for him
Don't waste your time really. He's just a hug whom throws haymakers and has only fought retired bouncers.
Thanks for the PM, sorry bout getting wound up and sorry bout the insults it's just that I posted too get the opinions from other posters I didnt want the post getting ruined with smart remarks
No Drama, I was just fishing. For the Record, John Hopaete is wide open, he drops his left when he throws his right and drops the right when he throws his left. But, in a division like the HW, anything is possible.

mate i'm not even going too fucking reply anymore you are an idiot who obviously knows nothing about boxing just another n00b trying too fit in and act like he know a thing or two!
Agreeing with you would be trying to fit in, don't you think? And for the record I grew around boxing, I'm pretty well informed. But I'd happy to learn anything I can from you.

Your a know it all, and yes it's a descent question and why would you wanna talk about "anthonys looking for a challenge" are you stupid? or are you just trying too be funny?
Aren't you trying to be funny?

You are an idiot a fucking total idiot, I ask a question then you come along a fucking wannabe boxing historian a know it all
Your the one foolish enough to post suck a stupid question. Where is the boxing historian reference from.
Isn't Anthony always looking for a new challenge....or should I say bum to beat up. John has no chance beating time on a drum let alone beating a top Heavy Weight. This question doesn't really require a answer, but hey.
