i think cotto has a bigger frame and bones, but has less developed muscles, floyd has narrower clavicles but his delts are alot bigger,,also floyds biceps and triceps are loads bigger, the comentators said floyd weighed 147lbs on fight night, but he looked huge and looked like he gained at least 8lbs???? weird??? cotto looked at less lean too, also floyd has really long arms ;):boxing:
calzaghe is a fighter that is underrated and a few opponents have said he slap's hard!!! calzaghe beats both ward and froch and every other super middle ;0)
all time great @ 168!!!!
Calzaghe is the best SMW of all time. A wide UD for Joe.
true, true and true, as always sense is spoken...al;l the haters calling him calslappy would soon get fed up of being slapped by him and according to certain opponents he slaps damn hard too!!!! joe is the best in the divisions history and beats both ward and froch...his workrate alone is enough to give any1 nightmares ...nite :boxing:
How do you over-hype a guy that dominated a prime undefeated darchinyan, montiel, a prime vazquez jr trying to prove himself, and every other top 3 contender that he's dominated and outclassed?
There is no hype with donaire. He's a champion, period. He can compete with the best, period.
agreed!!!!... i really rate him...gotta luv the flash...bunce describing him on boxnation after a clip with donaire and vasquez talking made me pmsl:spankme::booty::boxing:
i dont think it can..the smaller more skillful fighters are getting more and more popular and more coverage, the personalities of tyson and ali played a huge part in the divisions success and maintained interest, there are no such charactors around today and it would take more than that to reignite interest in the division after such a stale period...haha stale period lol...but people like seeing big guys ko'ing other big guys so we never know, im just not expecting it to happen any time soon!! gr8 question tho! ;)
when you watch highlight clips of boxers u normally see a lot of entertaining, exciting punch and ko compilations but when you watch bradleys u think ' if thats his highlights i'd hate to see his average moments, never mind his bad moments' his style is horrible to watch and his use of his head is so blatant!!! not a fan :booty: though i respect his dedication, confidence and work ethic btw
Till he fights Rigo, he is over hyped. If you truely believe a 2-time gold medalist does not deserve a shot a donaire, that is just stupid. The guy is obviously someone to fear, winning his title in 8 pro fights!
getting handed a paper title after 8 fights to rush his career due to his age...rigo will have earned hios shot when he has 14 consecutive world title fights against p4p'ers and the top ranked fighters....he don't deserve a shot based on amature pedigree...come on...since vic he has had those 14 title fights over 5 and a 1/2 yr's...rigo doesn't deserve to be at that level with out going thru the same...
vic was considered a beast at the time and nonito was a huge underdog and vic previously beat gled donaire, nonitos brother...vic was destroying opponents and was pretty much feared and avoided :boxing:
what is donaires true weight??? he looked a little fat around the wast in his last fight and has looked a little flat, maybe he hasn't had enough time to gain functional weight and needs time to adjust and settle at the weight,,,how high could he go though?? :boxing::booty:
Cordoba is a world class fighter, whose best career win was Caba, years ago. Mathebula IMO beat Caba (away), maybe not as well, never seen the Cordoba fight. But Cordoba couldn't have been on good form to lose to a guy like Dunne. Great fight tho. But you boosting Casey and Dunne and putting down Nonito's opp is LOL.
Note sure about the judging in Cordoba Rigo, I pretty much tuned out a few rounds after Rigo went on the run after getting dropped by a jab. Not rewatching that one, doubt anyone here sat through it twice, ditto for Ramos. But doesn't make me wanna see his posture after getting touched by Nonito's hook.
Don't get me wrong, Rigo winning titles in under 10 fights is a great accomplishment. Him calling out Donaire is fine, more power to him. If he fights Donaire, I'll probably pull for him. I could even see him dominating (or getting embarrased). But to say Donaire is a fraud if he doesn't fight Rigo ASAP is retarded.
yeah i agree, even though rogo has won the title, it was gifted to him and nonito has worked long and hard to get to where he's at, rigo dont deserve this level of exposure and money yet, imo he hasn't earned the right to be in the ring with nonito yet...people are rating him highly like bute, based on potential and how good he MIGHT Be...nonito is far more advanced career wise and rigo don't deserve it yet, he has to earn it:booty:
I've been hearing that Amir has been getting the better of him in sparring, probably why he wants the fight.
khan will give him a good fight but theres a difference in getting hit in a real fight by manny and if khan covers up like he did against peterson then manny would annihilate him great fight for boxing tho ;)
i'd say between 900k and 1.15million because bradley isn't that popular, i dont know how his figures will do in the U.K on primetime but he will prob get more that Khan did.:booty::banana:
Step up to the plate?
You must be misinformed
Darchinyan was this little monster knocking out everybody before the underdog Donairee KTFHO.
Montiel was on an incredible Run before brutally being kayoed.
Rigo is a step up??? a prospect with 9 fights?
whats especially cool about him stopping vic is nonito got revenge for vic beating his brother glen!!!! rigo hasn't done any thing yet, same as bute..gr8 amature and then hyped as a pro and put straight at the top based on potential rather that achievement.
i rate him
i rate him quite highly and think he will give froch a great fight, i like his punch variety and attitude inside the ring but being a bit of a d*ck outside of it is relevant with the way popularity plays a big part in promotional marketability, he is sort of like tim bradley in that respect, i was surprised that top rank signed tim bradley as he wasn't that popular despite arum trying to sell his family man image and i think adonis is in a similar position along with the high risk low reward that comes with him, other wise is a good solid all round fighter with potential to cause froch problems with his workrate though froch would more than likely stop him after a decent fight:boxing:
I cant lie though as much as i didnt like Amir Khan early on ( I almost got into a fight with his supporters at the Zab fight in vegas). Dude is kind of a throwback to the old days of fighting anyone. I almost think he didnt get protection as much as other promotional groups usually do to up and comers. You cant name another fighter that is doing what he does and offering his name brand and taking it to other cities. I just wished that he would leave roach and go to a trainer like NAZ who even though this board thinks is overrated could teach him newer things that freddie hasnt taught him yet namely DEFENSE.
good point. maybe khan would do better if he actually listened to freddie more ;)
khan did an interview with the telegraph news paper and said after he beats garcia he will move up to the welter weight division and face either manny or floyd with a possible adjustment fight before...looks like he is in a rush to earn a big payday after the blue print on how to give him nightmares was exposed :boxing::boxing:
agree!!!
Haye would beat all of them, easily.
He'll knock Chisora out in 8 rounds, his decent chin will hold up until late.
He knocks out Price and Fury early, neither of them have great chins.
i agree, haye would ko the lot and i'd put money on him beating vitali after his chisora performance...:boxing:
they are friends tho and so are manny and mosely and they spent most of the fight shaking hands and respecting each other too much, was a glorified exhibition match...would be good if the actually fight tho:boxing::boxing::boxing:
Since he's moved up it hasn't been a problem, he doesn't get hit big that often and against those 3 it wouldn't be an issue, they wouldn't lay a glove on him. He took the big shots that Wlad landed pretty well, only one shook him.
sum1 that speaks sense!!
Williams yes, Kirkland no. Kirkland is still and alright fight I expect him to win, but it won't be the same numbers as a Williams fight, who is also a bigger challenge. If Alvarez does decent numbers, it'll speak volumes about his marketing ability
good point, just wonder if its too much expected of him and too much pressure, i highly rate him but wonder if a loss would damage his career after such a promotional push by golden boy:boxing:
Calzaghe beats Ward due to Calazage’s work rate... Froch finds it hard to win against fighters who got excellent lateral movement.. I was never a Calzaghe fan but realized once he retired how good the guy was...
great comment!!! agree 100% though i watched nearly all his fights
