I just finished watching the fight and I understand why people believe it was rigged... I kind of think he took the check too man. I hope not but wtf are these soft ass punches? My nephews hit harder. I seen Angulo vs Lara, Angulo was slow, but he had some hard punches. Last night dude looked like Glass Joe out there! (Mike Tyson's Punch Out). If he did lay down for Canelo I hope he doesn't get another fight ever. Terrible.
You guys are f.ucking something else. Go watch the fight again. ROUND 1, PUNCH #2 looping left hook lands on Amgulos head, he was rocked and never the same the entire fight.
Save the conspiracy theories.
angulo wasn't punching he was tapping....and then somewhere in the later rounds he's all like "ah that's right i need to punch"
definitely the WOSRT performance/effort in 2014....
Angulo could definitely absorb power punches without going down, but it's inconsistent with throwing soft punches in return as if he's told not to pack power in them. It's not like Canelo was too fast to duck punches. Problem was he was being hit with punches that even a woman wouldn't throw in that situation. First impression was he was either drunk, taken pills that would make him drowsy or didn't train seriously. Definitely something wrong with that fight, or Angulo.
I knew people were going to start crying after Canelo won. Apparently the fight was fixed. Never mind the action was picking up after the 6th round. Angulo looked so relieved the moment Tony Weeks waived it off. >_>
I wish the mods hadn't deleted the thread I posted in about
Canelo making target practice of Angulo. The fight was made for him.
True
Canelo came out swinging right away showing he was trying to knock Lara out from the beginning and what gets fired back are Pitty-Pat punches 90% + of the time..
I've been into boxing for decades and that was exactly the way it was !
They weren't soft punches, it looked like a MW against a JMW to me.
I also think it had to do with the weights.
Angulo just wasnt able to hurt him until the 8th up - and by then his face was falling apart, his stamina was running out and he was blocking punches with his face. When Angulo did land he was landing hard. You could hear how loud the leather of his gloves was landing on Canelo. Brutal punches.

You are in denial or delusional. I've never seen a clearer example of a guy purposely holding back in my life. It looked like when a pro is trying to take it easy on a 12 year old in the gym. Or when the local janitor tries to carry rockin':blackeye: for a round before ko'ing him. If you won't believe that fight was fixed you have to be the most dense, gullible, naive fan on the planet.
IF ANYTHING, im thinking bc angulo showed his daughter on tv, some drug cartel threats went down. cause think about it, theres a reason canelo never shows his daughter on tv. but then again maybe not nd either angulo has drained himself too much to make 154 or canelo early onslaught really sapped his energy bc he stalked nd threw at lara w so much more effort & energy.
none the less, canelo came in too confident against a puncher like angulo.
imagine how angulo feels if he hadnt really thrown the fight. like dam you really looked that bad that people speculized this kinda stuff. smh horrid performance
as for canelo, kirkland next, then lara. i doubt molina nor quillin get a shot. angulo gets trout next.
He was outclassed- Canelo was quicker, stronger and sharper.
He was getting backed up for the most of the fight and couldn't generate any power. It didn't help that he never landed his best punch, the left hook
