What's ironic to me is that with so many great technically sound and skilled boxers throughout history the one man who retired undefeated ( while taking on all challengers ) was Rocky Marciano. He wasn't a very technical or overly skilled boxer but he had power, heart, a granite chin, and perseverance like I've never seen. I know some may say he didn't have too many hall if fame fighters in his era and the mob controlled a lot of boxing but the fact is the guy who ran the mob said that Marcianos fights were never fiddled with like Lamotta, graziano. bc he meant that much to Italian American communities and they never wanted to smear Rocks good name. It's hard to believe TBE is almost 40 years of age after watching him lastnight.

The sanctioning fee is ridiculous, whether it is $300,000 or $125,000. What the WBC is doing is the equivalent of extortion. No one should pay $300,000 for the right to a title designation that can be taken away at any time after the fight and after the fee has been paid by the designating body.
Point here is that Cotto used the belt to negotiate a better payment and agreed to pay a step aside fee to GGG, the step aside fee is not related to the WBC sanctioning fee.
