Floyd is going to outbox him in the 1st 3-4 rounds then by the 5th he will walk him down, beat him up and possibly stop him by the 8th
You're so nervous you have to reassure yourself. :lol1:
Schaefer said Danny Garcia said he didn't see Maidana's punches when he should have known they never fought each other. I am just a fan and I knew he made a mistake instantly. Sometimes Schaefer doesn't seem to know boxing at all. I remember when he said Khan had the best chin in boxing. I think Arum has many times the boxing knowledge of Schaefer.
Then we will hear that ODL is giving Maidana "the blueprint" to beat Floyd and Floyd will be on Fight Camp 360 saying Maidana is "one hell of a fighter"...
We have seen this song and dance over and over again.
Maidana has already said Oscar can keep his blueprint.
Reminds of the Baldomir fight lol.
The promoter called the PPV Pretty Risky lol.
Maidana will walk into lead right hands all night and get KO'D
Just like Baldomir got ko'd eh. Maidana is more awkward, stronger, faster, more powerful, and a better boxer than Carlos frickin Baldomir.
Plus a young Floyd had to stay on his toes that whole fight.. Who says he can do that at 37?
Simpletons.
Schaefer really rubs me the wrong way. I felt physically sick when he said 'mano-a-mano' to hype up the Angulo-Canelo fight. He is cringe.
Same here. Something very unnatural and false about him when he talks about boxing.

Dont forget the jab to the belly and the right over the top.
Easy work for Floyd.
Richard with the hard sell.
Virgil Hunter summed it up best when he said that Mayweather/Maidana was "the same ole' fight." The implication of course being that Maidana (like many of Mayweather's more recent opponents - Alvarez, Guerrero, Marquez, Ortiz, Mosley, Hatton, Baldomir, Gatti, etc...) only has a puncher's chance.
You need more than a puncher's chance to beat Mayweather.
Any one he fights only has a punchers chance.
Floyd has this in the bag but Schaefer was probably being as honest as he could have been. I mean the choices were Khan and Maidana and Floyd could have easily KO'd Khan and looked like a monster but not so much against Maidana. Regarding which fight would have benefited Floyd's legacy more, a Khan KO would look better than a Maidana UD but Floyd would win either fight pretty handily.
There is the slim possibility that Maidana catches Floyd and drops him while I think that chance would be even slimmer had Floyd chosen to fight Khan.

Would you have preferred Amir Khan?

Lol we will see. None of those guys are aggressive by nature.
Maidana's game is to be aggressive. You think he is going to stop coming? He's made a career with keeping the pressure up after being down.
I think it's funny. Other people in this thread also. If you say anything positive about Maidana or his chances of winning, they automatically think you are picking him to win via devastating KO. I don't think Maidana is going to win, but I think he will make Floyd run around the ring all night. Should be fun to watch Floyd feel some fear.
This is precisely how I feel. Maidana is good at chasing down boxers. He's had to do it his entire career.
Also, the people counting out Maidana are the same clowns who thought Adrien Broner was gonna give Maidana a boxing lesson. Their opinions are null.
Maidana is going to come after him though. That is the difference between Maidana and all of Mayweathers opponents in the last 5 years. Besides Maybe Ortiz who had moderate succes beforehe became his usual mental midget self.
Maidana isn't going to get caught up in the thinking game.
Green k given. Don't listen to the trolls. They hate the fact that Maidana got this far in his career.
Ridiculous. Plenty of Mayweather opponents have "come after" Mayweather until they start missing and getting countered. Most recent was Canelo.
The same thing will happen to Maidana and the same "he should have been more aggressive " excuses will happen in the same way you're using it now.
Maidana will be nowhere near the first opponent to move forward against Mayweather.

lmao as if anyone actually believes that... Who is he trying to fool? Maidana is seriously the perfect opponent for Mayweather. If you could tailor make an opponent for Mayweather, Maidana is the guy. He's a big puncher, sure, but he's slow and flat footed. He's also smaller than Mayweather, not in terms of weight but height, and he will have a reach disadvantage against Mayweather. I can't see this fight going any other way than 120-108 for Mayweather with a possible stoppage late due to Maidana just eating punches and gassing out.
I like Maidana he doesnt talk smack all day long and will fight anyone, but you would have to be a bit stupid to think this fight will be anything other than a mayweather shutout
