Marvin Hagler TKO3 Thomas Hearns. the most active, exciting, brutal, and relentless fight in history. castillo/corrales sux compared to Hagler/Hearns.I just watched this fight the other day. The fight was short but very brutal. Hearns didn't stand a chance. Hagler wouldn't even let him breath. Its probably a good thing that he KO'd hearns pretty quick, or he would have been worn out by the 5th.
Hahaha..Preciate that, champ...but my power is in my right. I couldn't afford to get into a jab fest with Winky. The best hope would have been a right when he wasn't looking.
Or a baseball bat.
when i was young, i use to watch mike tyson fights and thats it. And the fight that really got me into boxing is Pacquiao-Barrera. That was awesome. That was a real good fight. About everytime I start falling away from the sport, I will se a fight like that and I am hooked again. Costillo and Correlas has to be one of the best fights ever.
The thing about Hatton is that he's not like alot of the fighters at the top of the game, he doesn't have the pure boxing skills of Winky or Floyd but he has an all out smothering pressure style as we all saw against Zoo. I said pre fight he would beat him and I back him to cause Floyd (if they ever fight) all sorts of problems. Hatton has a great work rate and unless you can knock him out (nobody has in 39 fights) then your probably going to loose. In short I think he's great - very under rated in America. I have to say also that Hatton wants to fight in America to become part of boxing history fighting at MGM and the garden but contrary to what the majority of Americans think on this site - he does not need America to make his way in the game because he that exciting - not many fighters like that. Pound for Pound I would say hes 4 or 5 right now.On a selfish point, I would like to see him come to the U.S. and fight, then we over here can watch him a little more.
Not only was Vagini humiliated into facing Rahman after postponing the fiht 4 times...but the WBC was also humiliated. No doubt the many many emails I sent made them realize they did not want to be connected to a chinless coward like Vagini.
You can all thank me for Vitali now having to face a contender. And while you're at it you can kiss my fuckin ass.Hey Devil, looks like you are almost as loved here as I am.
Hatton's win over Tszyu ranks right up there with McGuigan-Pedroza, Honeyghan-Curry, Benn-McClellan and Eubank-Collins.
I keep trying to get a friend of mine to DL the fight for me. I would like to see it, I keep hearing how good it was.
The only thing I say is if its is going to help then do it but if its just going to be another avenue for crooks in the sport, then it needs to be shelved.
Those are some good pionts, but, I think A blood test should be madatory. The reason being is that, me, as a fan, sitting inthe front row, or anybody else, commentaters and judges who sit closer to the action, referee's who are even closer and doctors ect. don't have to worry about blood splattering in their eye giving them a blood born disease. Not to mention the opposing corner.
MRI's should be mandatory if a fighter is KO'd or TKO'd due to a massive beating in the ring.
And as American citizens, and fans of boxing all over the world should have some say. IMO, of course.
What because that Klitschko guy got a cut? Yeah, he won it so convincingly.
Did you happen to stop and take a look at VK's face after the fight? He got his ass beat. VK is a dumb fighter. He should have realized that was a bad cut after the doctor looked at him, and when he got up he should have left everything on the mat. He had LL hurt a couple of times and did not take advantage of it. Therefore he gets beat. His is a horrible HW Champion. And needs to step up and quit hiding like Byrd.
so you're not gonna argue with the fact that this gentleman is trying to compare drugs/guns with boxing?
This guy is an idiot. I don't see anyway that drugs and guns should be even remotly close to being compared to boxing. I think when he was an infant he was dropped on his head.
NO NO NO AND NO
HE got up way to fast from a punch that hurt him . After he fell down for the second time he popped right back up and was good . It was a young mistakeI have had this argument before and agree on the fact that he should not have gotten a 10 count. He definately didn't have his legs under him. What do you think of the outcome had he had more experiance? Maybe he would of taken out Tszu. He was landing hard shots in the first round and I think he even hurt him once.
Looks like I am going to have to check this guy out. I just always thought it was an Irish thing, just the the Irish showing love for their man. I keep hearing that he a brutal fighter with a bit of a dirty streak.
I think he is a good hard hitter. He has good strenght in his upper body, I think he has a good stiff jab because of it. His punches are crisp and his combo's are lightening fast. To me he is one of the best all around P4P fighters there is and probably ever will be.
I had the fight scored at 7 to 5 as well. I had Benard winning the lat 4 rounds and the 6 round. The gash on Taylors head was a nasty one, and having a cut like that has to have some kind of negative effect on someone. He lost alot of blood.
Gatti didn't brawl because he found out early on in the fight that for every punch he threw(and missed by the way) Floyd landed 3 to 4 punches. If gatti actaully let his hands go he would have been dead meat.Gatti was out classed and out smarted and out boxed. There was nothing he could have done to prevent PBF from taking that belt. The best thing he did was quit on the stool. Wich surprised me. I thought he would take a KO before he ever quit. All in all PBF is the man. You can love him or hate him, doesn't matter he is a champ that I don't see anybody beating for a long time. Not Hatton, Winky, not anybody. :)
