That was clearly a fake KO, rofl.
That shit is hilarious.
lol... his eyes dont roll back...
then he has the awareness to cover the shade from the sun with his hands/gloves...lol
This is old news this lawsuit stuff started months before Floyd turned down the Oscar rematch retired. All the stuff Floyd bought can be sold, in fact used privete jets can actually gain value, even the cars he can probably recoup most of what he bought them for. His home in Vegas though probably lost a lot of value, but aslong as he does not have to liquidate it right now he will be ok on that too.
lol at cars and planes holding their value..
not stuff that he probally bought that was already marked up..
if he was dumb enough to buy those types of things( which i give pbf credit for not being so stupid) those things fall in value 30%... who would want to buy a used maybach for the same price as a new one..wtf
real ballers lease that type of stuff cause it then means more money in their bank....
pretty much... guy said he didnt want to end up badly hurt by taking punches...DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT BOXING REQUIRES THAT.... he wasnt even doing the zab judah chicken dance ...
no.. oscar crumbling on the canvus and then smashing his fist on the mat after a supposed "debilitating" body punch = thats throwing a fight....
gettin beat down and quitting on your stool is the exact opposite of throwing a fight...
floyd is overrated in his drawing power...
pac v. hatton would be huge...
hell id rather see pac v. nate campbell...
mayweather would probally want the fight at 154...
pac when all is said and done is gonna make like 20 mil .... easy.... the ppv numbers he gets a piece of... even the rights to the phillapines tv and stuff..
but more importantly it was such an easy fight.... hell for him to make six mill he might have needed to fight three times to reach that and probally one of those wouldve been a hard fight.... he pretty much got off easy... and now he can make double that guaranteed to fight hatton...
cause hatton is more money than pbf.. for sure.....
i think that the fact that we all knew that dlh was cherry picking his opponent espeically pacman and the size difference is why this loss counts alot...
hopkins loss at least he was going to the stars with that challenge.. but this pacman fight smelled like the mayorga beat down that supposedly meant he was back on track....
if he wouldve fought margartio and got destroyed in two rounds it wouldnt have hurt his legacy as bad as this fight....
pac basically came up from 130 to fight him at 147.... there is a reason why fights like these dont happen to often.... this wasnt dlh "challenging" himself against the best.. this was him trying gain points on the name of the most popular fighter who is way smaller than him...backfire....
and when you gain only two pounds (supposedly) on fight night you know they miscalcuated something...
funny part is that golden boy promotions as a promotional outfit is borderline garbage.... they heavly depend on dlh fighting and being able to manipulate dates with hbo...like the bait and switches they were pulling with barreara and marquez fights on days oscar was supposed to fight....
while they do have some young up and commers they really havent navigated too many prospects from the ground up .. theyve just cherry picked because of oscars clout AS A FIGHTER NOT PROMOTER....
even a fighter like ortiz tonight...was a operation from the bottom with gbp but with top rank...
For Oscar: let's look at it and let's look at your comments. Hopkins: WTF are you talking about. Hopkins was a big Middleweight who knocked-out a man who started his career as a lightweight with body/liver shot. How does that taint his ATG status?
Pac: End of his career and given all the circumstances that even Freddie Roach mentioned in the build-up...it means Oscar just did what other great fighters have done: Fight past their prime and made stupid mistakes.
You have to look at everything and not look at what you want to look at: Look below the surface not just above.
Ali is not an ATG because he lost to Frazier, who was blown out by Foreman; Norton; Leon Spinks; Holmes; and Berbick.
SRR: not an ATG because he sucked towards the end of his career.
Roy Jones Jr: not an ATG because he sucked at the end of his career.
Holyfield: Take him off the list
Tszyu: take him off the list. KO'd by Phillips and Hatton.
Lewis: Lost to Rahman and McCall...take him off the list.
I can go on all day.
If we want to see if Oscar is an ATG based on what he was doing and failed to do in his prime....sure...fair enough.
two losses to mosley.... one loss to trinidad and one loss to maywether...
so beating up an old chavez and gatti are great acheivements...
whitaker, quartey , vargas, mayorga make him an all time great.... yeah right
he is sitting down in one of those stools but his midsection is visable.. dont look that good.. mabye its the way he is sitting but he dont look obese but im sure james probally aint too worried about fres
fuk that..140 ... floyd can get down to that weight.... manny is the new dlh ... floyd is stil floyd.... so that means it should be on mannys terms..140 would be perfect
I'd get on Cotto now if I were you.
i hoping the live crowd in vegas will push the line higher for cotto.... i was there for the dlh v. mayewther fight and saw that line move towards dlh at the imperial palace sports book move like 30 pts in the 3 hours we were there watching the kentucky derby....but i was an idiot cause i had already placed my sure fire bet on mayewather when i got to vegas fri night... its risky but i told my buddy for sure +200 is the minium...
cotto all the way on this fight... i feel its the reverse margartio v. cotto where that line was crazy warped towards cotto and it only made sense to bet on margartio...
i have a buddy of mine that lives in vegas that is on stanby to drop for me 5 bills on cotto...im hoping that closer to fight the lines will even get more spread apart as hopefully money starts comming in for pac man...
Thanks a lot for the help man, yeah I have been doing a lot of research latel....is there any sites you can recommend to check out?
i dont use it any more just cause i have a buddy of mine that lives in vegas so now its just easier to transfer money in his account but just check out this site and you can decide and do some research...
http://www.sportsbookreview.com/
i read reviews of my crappy site (linesmaker.com) and was like yeah i shouldve done my research before...
only reason i signed up with linesmaker was because i could put money into my account through my credit card.... but it turned into a pain when the decided to go awol on their payment method...
i think on there linesmaker has a c minus rating... wack... also you can read what other people have to say too on the boards...
how long does it take for you to recieve your payment on this online betting sites?
depends... some sites suck some are fast....do your research...
i was with linesmaker.com.... won a grand on the margarito v. cotto fight and it took literally 2months 2 bounced checks and a 50 dollar surcharge to get set up with their own verison of paypal.(bill me i think its called)... pain in the behind....
it was funny cause i was bitching over a grand and when i went to some online betting message board there were people bitching about like 50 grand or 100 grand...lol... i was like damn...
it was during that time that linesmaker.com and all its subsidariers had been bought or were "refurbishing" their payment method and it created a backlog and many people were pissed...
do your research...
I like Pacquiao, he's beaten all my favorite fighters, but these odds are incredibly skewed. It may be the media attention and his fights with Hatton/DLH but this is madness.
I felt like the John/Juarez 2 was skewed as well, and while John vindicated the books, I still like the bet to this day. I think this is an outrage and I personally think Cotto's chances of winning are excellent.
I found a 7-1 line on this fight going to a decision in favor of Cotto. So they're calling a decision in this fight a near impossibility?? Almost a guaranteed knockout victory for either fighter.
Doesn't this strike anyone else as a little crazy?
7-1 that Cotto can't handle the smaller mans punches and control him with his jab. 7-1 that Pacquiao's chin isn't sturdy enough and that he'll win 7 of 12 rounds against an elite WW?
These are outrageous odds. Does anyone else agree?
margarito v. cotto had similar odds i think even better and that was easier to call cause of the weigth...
the thing that scares me is what if for some reason cotto has weight trouble (nobody really knows) and ends up like dlh ... i never saw dlh scenario comming till i saw that dlh weighed in day before teh fight and was like oh shit.. pacs got this.. put a little bit of money but not alot...
had this been at 147 i bet the odds wouldve have been similar but it wouldve been a guarantee that cotto kills pacman...
after tomomrow at the weigh in i suspect those lines to move dramtically....
i also think as far as your best under dog.... cotto v. margarito had better odds for the ud and was pretty easy to call at least in my opinion and also bernard hopkins v. kelly pavlik was like 4-1 and i got that right especailly when they were fighting at the bullsh1t catch weight...
lol at people beliving this PRESS RELEASE... come on...
didnt floyd supposedly get tens of millions for wrestlemaina when it was really proven to be a couple of mil.... but the press release said other wise....
hell didnt hatton get more money from their fight than money may....
leasing a boat for a couple of months is not the same as buying a yacht and having its pink slip.... lol
Cotto was supposed to be faster, with better boxing skills and look what happened to him.
Tony crushes Floyd even worse.
pretty much... imo margartio lands shots to the arms, shoulders, head, body... all that... floyd would have try to not get touched but his shoulder roll move means he is there to get touched... floyd aint check hooking margatrtio to the ground...
i wonder if people think that margrito game plan pretty much didnt care if he was out boxed or not by cotto in the first 6 rounds as long as he was slowly breaking down cotto...
just like he wouldnt care if floyd was outboxing him for any amount of rounds he would want to get punches on him and break him down...and margartio can throw 100 punches a round... floyd would have to deal with that for 12 rounds.. i mean come on, we all knew dlh was gonna fade in the last rounds (trinidad anyone??) or judah ( mentally) but this guys m.o. is opposite of those two guys...
marg lost to a guy named santos twice........
why?..........
the guy boxed him and had the stamina to go the distance.........
mayweather is 10000000 times better than santos ....how do we know this.....
because you dont even know who santos is ....now go google.......
did you see the first santos fight...
did you see a second santos fight... pure bombs and if you saw the end of the fight it was pretty much margartio comming on strong and in his favor...
do you know that floyd would not exchange like a santos as to how to ward off margartio....
if floyd threw 500 punches and connected with 70% of them, then that would just mean that floyd would be ahead on the scorecard when margartio would ko his azz.....
The thing people are forgetting is floyds ability to slow pressure fighters down. I mean diego corrales was a big puncher and threw a rate comparable to tony but floyd slowed him down and picked him apart. I have seen floyd pressured numereous times and every single time without fail floyd was able to slow them down, make them miss and fustrate them into making mistakes. Floyd isnt gonna run from margarito but he isnt gonna get into a brawl. If anything floyd is gonna show how primative margarito skills are and flat out embarrass him.
you cant really compare diego's game to margartios game can you.... i dont recall diego being a high volume puncher who throws punches in bunches and from wierd angles...
plus floyd at 130 and 147 ... the opponents are way diffrent..
mayweathers way too quick for margarito i doubt margarito would be able to wear him down like he did cotto. i really did think cotto dominated the first couple rounds and with mayweather it would be worse to start
fact is mayweather would have to do it from round 1-12 to hold margaito off... this aint judah ( who everybody knew loses focus mentally) or dlh who was going to lose stamina late (trinidad) .. this is a guy who is capable of throwing 100 punches in the championship rounds...
and the question becomes, what if margartio is fine gettin potshotted if it means he has a chance to get closer to hit his opponent... cotto was drilling margarito and he walked right threw it... pbf hands wouldve been broken by then..lol....... its funny cause i though well all cotto has to do is fight like clottey did ( he was taggin him early in that fight too) and he did fight like him but margs walked right threw all that and kept going... why couldnt that apply to pbf.... where as cotto has pop in his punches .. pbf dont.....
pbf would have to be perfect for 12 rounds...... against blown up jr welters or dlh that mgiht work but margs or cotto for that matter arent in that category....
You as a Margs fan better worry about Williams. Margs says he will fight Floyd, and that Floyd has ducked him, but deep down, you both know Margs can't beat Floyd.
deep down floyd knows he cant beat margs.... or he wouldve proven it along time ago when his excuses ran out ( 1st excuse was the money, 2nd excuse was his losses, 3rd excuse was he was a no name, 4th excuse was he hates top rank)
floyd is a great fighter but at 147 he isnt great... not even the best fighter in that weight class.... living off his accomplisments at 130 135
if manny pac beats (somehow) dlh and hatton ... he will be half way to pbf accomplismnets at 147... which isnt much.... its one thing if there is nobody in the division or wack oppostion but for quite a while 147 has been stacked and floyd seems to prefer blown up jr welters
heh, this stuff reminds me of all the stuff most of the brits were yelling when hatton-mayweather was signed, like ricky's gonna be all over him, and floyd won't be able to go 12 rounds under that pressure assault, etc.
then hatton headbutted a turnbuckle and it was all joe cortez's fault.
yeah but real boxing heads knew ricky at 147 was going to be hatton v. collazo pt 2..... he already prove he was wack at that weight..
lol... i think floyd already answered this question... he knows at the very least a fight with margartio would bring him to hell and back.... hence the no show in fighting him....
why do floyd nuthuggers think that he didnt already play out this fight in his mind and come to the realization that he would get beat down even if he came away with a decsion win...
i think floyd turning down a 8 million doller payday is proof enough... i mean most fighters now would take that money to fight klitchko.. hell pac man is jumping 2 weight divisions to fight delahoya for that kinda of money....
i really dont know how the corrales / margartio/ baldomir ( floyd toyed with those guys so he should be able to toy with margarito) comparison can be a pbf nuthugger excuse... i mean they are 3 diffrent fighters with 3 diffrent styles..... and how come floyds brittle hands arent a real factor in a fight....
other fighters like mosley and dlh (who have taken all challengers) werent exactly keen on looking forward to fighting margarito... why would floyd...
like i said before.. its a pointless argument cause FLOYD ALREADY ANSWERED THIS QUESTION FOR YOU but his fans think that fighting jr. welters at welterweight makes him the greatest welter in the world....
No, it isn't. You're acting like I'm not open-minded, which is what everyone does to their opposition when they're looking for support. You need to explain why you think Margarito could beat Floyd and maybe show a precedent or two since that's usually how we pick fights in boxing. You can't just say Margarito would beat Mayweather because Mayweather didn't fight him. You probably don't think Pryor would have beat Leonard, do you?
margartio is a bigger welter.. his natural weight... and he throws 100 punches a round or he can.... he aint gonna out box floyd ...floyd would outbox margartio but in order to do so he would have to put himself at some risk.... just like cotto.. you think margartio cared he was getting outboxed or tagged the first half of the fight... but he was (slowly but surely) landing punches .....
so now floyd can out box and pot shot margartio all he wants but he eventually has to come in between the line of fire unless you think he can shut out margatio..... floyd on the ropes doing the shoulder roll IS EXACTLY WHAT MARGARTIO WOULD LOVE FOR HIM TO DO.. unless you think floyd can shoulder roll while running around corner to corner...
so now you explain how floyd with his brittle hands is going to be able to hold off margartio... didnt floyd complain about baldomirs head.... margartio whole game plan is to throw punches in bunches and break you down...
he is not the same type of fighter as corrales and this is a weight class that he has yet to face a real welter with power....
if floyd fought margarito like he did dlh, how would floyd survive.... margartio dont fade and he can throw punches in bunches till the 12 round... he aint judah (mentally wack) or dlh (stamina wack)...
margartio gettin outboxed is a no brainer but floyd would have to deal with getting hit....evidently he didnt want to deal with that possiblity
good post el boxeo, I agree with you for the most-part. Floyd would be tested stamina-wise for sure. If Marg wasn't so damn slow, and threw those long-looping punches I would give him a better chance. Since he does though it would be target practice for Floyd. He would win a UD on clean-effective punches.
thats what im saying.. i mean yeah floyd would box circles around margarito but he would have to throw much more punches to keep tony off him as well as deal with a high number of punches comming his way... he would either have to be on his bike the whole time which may or may not win you a fight but margartio wouldnt just throw a 1000 punches in that in that fight and land 20...
Mayweather knows how to clinch.
May can slip punches two inches in front of his opponent.
May can fight going backwards.
May doesnt get tired.
May doesnt miss.
May doesnt run.
Cotto is not Maywather...
he also doesnt want to prove it against margartio or cotto...
its one thing fighting guys like hatton or dlh but its another thing not wanting to fight guys like cotto or margartio...
No I think Floyd has a good shot against Margarito. It was just that Margarito had a good matchup with Cotto. Floyd would fight smart and not be lured into a slugfest or be caught up on the ropes a lot. Plus with Marg's slow punches, Floyd would be able to see those coming and get out of danger. Then he would pot shot, score points and find places to attack. I know Margarito fans would probably call him a puss for fighting like that, but it's how he fights and I don't think Margarito would have an answer for that style.
you think floyd would be able to shoulder roll on the ropes... floyd would be running from corner to corner pot shotting.. so then it becomes floyd throwing probally 30 punches a round and landing 15 to margartio throwing more and missing more but being the agressor...
floyd would eventually have to engage maragito..... floyd hardly engaged dlh because dlh let him get away (gettin gassed) you think thats gonna apply to margartio....
im not saying margartio is a world beater or the best ever but fighters like him or even a paul williams would be nightmares for floyd... even cotto wouldve pressured him to an extreme amount...
please name me the last pressure fighter that throws 100 punches a round... floyd hasnt faced that for a while
All the rumors in the Cali gyms are that Margs worked DLH in sparring and gave him complete hell.
pretty much sums it up... dlh already has "fought" margartio... he knows already what cotto is feeling.. there is now way he is gonna want to endure that without the headgear....
