Cotto at 3-1 KO(7-1 Decision), best underdog bet of recent memory?

I bet for pacman. Easy money.

cotto is 3.3 in Australia, and to me its close to a 50-50 fight so generous odds. I put a cheeky 20 dollars on a cotto win. Wont miss it if i lose, free beer for the day if i win. Looking forward to it now, should be a good fight, i like both so wanted to place a bet so i could cheer someone on.

I like Pacquiao, he's beaten all my favorite fighters, but these odds are incredibly skewed. It may be the media attention and his fights with Hatton/DLH but this is madness. I felt like the John/Juarez 2 was skewed as well, and while John vindicated the books, I still like the bet to this day. I think this is an outrage and I personally think Cotto's chances of winning are excellent. I found a 7-1 line on this fight going to a decision in favor of Cotto. So they're calling a decision in this fight a near impossibility?? Almost a guaranteed knockout victory for either fighter. Doesn't this strike anyone else as a little crazy? 7-1 that Cotto can't handle the smaller mans punches and control him with his jab. 7-1 that Pacquiao's chin isn't sturdy enough and that he'll win 7 of 12 rounds against an elite WW? These are outrageous odds. Does anyone else agree? margarito v. cotto had similar odds i think even better and that was easier to call cause of the weigth... the thing that scares me is what if for some reason cotto has weight trouble (nobody really knows) and ends up like dlh ... i never saw dlh scenario comming till i saw that dlh weighed in day before teh fight and was like oh shit.. pacs got this.. put a little bit of money but not alot... had this been at 147 i bet the odds wouldve have been similar but it wouldve been a guarantee that cotto kills pacman... after tomomrow at the weigh in i suspect those lines to move dramtically.... i also think as far as your best under dog.... cotto v. margarito had better odds for the ud and was pretty easy to call at least in my opinion and also bernard hopkins v. kelly pavlik was like 4-1 and i got that right especailly when they were fighting at the bullsh1t catch weight...

Yea i would put a solid bet on Cotto to straight up win. Pacquiaos Chin will be a big question mark IMO. He hasnt been hit flush in the face by anybody since Marquez at 130, and Marquez was able to rock him in that 2nd round. So who knows if he will be able to take Cottos punches or not. We will see. 7-1 on decision may not be the best bet IMO. i do think think this fight ends in a late stoppage for either fighter. Over 9.5 rounds isnt a bad bet tho. Id put 75% of ur bet money on Cotto to win at +230, and 25% on Over 9.5 rounds at +115

I'm finding it hard not to throw the maximum allowed at this. I don't care about either fighter but I know the guy can fight and these odds are stupid.
