I disagree... I've only seen two of Garica's fights (Morales/Khan) but what I've took from those fights is, Garica's a counterpuncher... Now we all know Marquez is a counterpuncher as well and we all know styles make fights... Makes for a very boring fight. I feel they'll just stand in front of each other waiting for the other to throw first... Example, Mayweather vs Marquez... But I could be wrong.
Cheers for the heads up. Im all over this. Flying into vegas on Tuesday have my tickets for the mgm. The weigh in will be judt the cherry on top. Ill try stick up some photos after the fight hopefully with plenty of boxers snd celebs:boxing:
No problem, just wish I could be taking advantage of this too...
10 percent off 25 dollars? the deal of a lifetime! you would have to be mental to pass this up folks!
Paying only $25 for watch some fights and to get a reserved VIP seat at the Mayweather/Canelo weigh in the next day... Do you know of any other ways to get a seat at the weigh in other than waiting in line for 5+ hours, when you can be doing much better sh*t with your day since you are in Vegas?
yea, i live in SoCal and its like 100 everyday right now...im guessing Vegas is around 110-115 range
Well I checked the weather for Vegas next weekend and it says low 90's, that's cooler than what it is here right now...
I'll be there on the 13th as well, with about 16 others. This will be my first time in Vegas for a Mayweather weekend. My plans to watch the fight (since I was unable get my hands on a pair of tickets) is to watch it at a family members house who lives in Vegas. There's about 8 of us that'll be watching the fight and we didnt feel like spending close to 1k between all of us to watch it at a closed circuit viewing, so now we'll just have to split the $80 to order the fight. That same family member hooked me up with 4 rooms at the hotel she works at, all from fri-mon for a total of $532. Its GREAT and very convenient to have family in Vegas lol :boxing:
make sure u go to the weigh in 2pm mgm friday before the fight
it usually is more exciting than the fight ...esp a floyd fight
get there early its free but fills up quickly
I'll be getting into Vegas around 1pm and I would love to go to the weigh in but I've always heard people are lined up since like 7am. So I thought showing up to the MGM around 2pm would be too late. But obviously you have more experience with this than me, have u ever had a problem with getting in showing up that late?
If you get to this weigh in at that time you have no chance I have a reserved seat to the weigh in
How did u get a reserved seat? Is there anything I can do to reserve one? Wanna sell your seat? Lol
I have one friend that I got into boxing but for the most part I keep him updated with all the news... He's a huge UFC fan so talking the fight game with him was always interesting cuz we would talk about the similarities boxing and mma have but how they were completely different and he always understood what I was saying when I would explain fights to him... He also got me into the UFC a lil and he keeps me updated with all that news, I never really gave it a chance before but now il go out of my way to watch any Jon Jones or Anderson silva fights...
But other than that the only place I would be able to talk boxing was at the boxing gym or when I go to fights... I remember the first big fight I went to, I was so surprised with all the conversations that were going on around me cuz everybody was talking boxing and almost everybody knew wtf they were talking about, I felt like I was in heaven... Even my girl got into the fights that night and she hates when I just sit in front of the tv for hours watching boxing
IMO this hurts TR the most... Mgm is still gonna get their money from all the Golden Boy cards and concerts/events they put on year round... Not to mention the new arena that holds 20k or more that Mgm just started building on the strip and is set to open in 2 years, I'm sure they'll have no problems selling out events there.
Bob will head to the Bellagio, Venetian, Luxor, Wynn, Mandalay Bay or the Four Seasons
MGM resorts own Bellagio, Luxor and the Mandalay Bay... Lets not forget about the whole City Center area and they own a few more properties in Vegas
My boy and I met Robert Garcia at the MGM the weekend of mayweather/Canelo... It was the Friday night or should I say Saturday morning since it was about 430am when I spotted him...
I was just standing outside of the restroom waiting for my friend to come out and I saw a group of about 5 dudes walking my way and one of them turned out to be Robert Garcia... I was so surprise and star struck I couldn't recall his first name... He steps in the restroom and a few seconds later my boy comes out, I'm all excited like a lil school girl... I tell him who I saw, so now we're both anxiously waiting for Robert to come out the bath room... When he did we approached him and asked for a pic, he was real cool about it and obviously drunk... I'm almost positive if we would've offered him a beer, he'd accept it no doubt and I would've been able to say I had a beer with Robert Garcia but I didn't think about that until about an hour after we met him lol
Why doesn't GBP/Canelo offer Smith (In Floyd Terms) "Step Aside Money" to ensure the Canelo/Lara fight to happen, avoiding any injures that Lara may receive in the Smith fight? If they're serious about their offer, maybe they did.
In the de la hoya fight floyd had to agree to all oscars demands. Weight, glove size, glove brand, purse split, ect. I think mayweather deserves to be on his oscar type pedestal now.
