Canelo offers Lara the fight for July 12?

Canelo just posted this on Instagram: Mi siguiente pelea será el día 12 de julio en el MGM de las Vegas nevada... Tenemos varias opciones como rival, una de ellas y es la primera y es Lara... Ya se le ofreció y solo falta que acepte y deje de hablar tanta saludos a todos I don't speak Spanish so if could someone could translate,thanks. Would be a cracking fight if it happens. (Assuming Lara gets past Smith)

Why doesn't GBP/Canelo offer Smith (In Floyd Terms) "Step Aside Money" to ensure the Canelo/Lara fight to happen, avoiding any injures that Lara may receive in the Smith fight? If they're serious about their offer, maybe they did.

Guess you missed Kirkland not taking the initial offer to face Canelo and then suddenly suing Golden Boy. I type MIGHT, it will be a PPV event and they will offer him more than the last time. Money corrects almost everything in boxing

Canelo and GBP are lacking lately. They need to step up, get a real JWM in there PPV worthy. Kirkland, Stevens are top names right now PPV worthy and top caliber opponents.Stevens? I'm ok with Lara fighting Ishe may, then Canelo at july, its plenty of time to prepare barring serious injuries. The only thing i hope is Canelo doesn't make a Rehydration clause like Angulo did to Lara. Also the ring size, if Canelo makes it smaller like Angulo did thats fine, if Lara is skilled enough as so many claim he should overcome that issue.

The only issue with the date for Lara would be if he picked up an injury in the Smith fight, but while that is always possible in a fight he is fighting Smith who is not exactly very dangerous.

Wonder who the Canelo haters will think up next to say Canelo is ducking. You could say that early in his career and the Lopez fight was a joke. But he has stepped up his competition since then and I hope Lara is next just to shut his ass up. Not sure that Lara brings anything to the table PPV wise but he does have a belt so lets see it.
