Broner showed more heart than i thought he had but he also showed that he was looking for a way out.
I respect anyone who gets in the ring as a fighter but it doesnt mean i have to respect them as a person.
He is an absolute turd of a human being in a lot of aspects. Some of it is old and im not wanting to discuss it, some of it is new. He isnt a role model for anyone.
He believed his own hype and disrespected boxing with the Escebode incident and tweeting pics of snacks he was eating etc... There is worse than that but im not one for doing charachter assasinations online..
He is just a flat out spoiled arrogant child who thought he was the 2nd coming an took maidana lightly
Trust me brah, it won't stay like that long. There's a reason why he left.
If you want to join bro send me a pm... Its a good group.. Lots of good commentary on the olympic boxing so far..
Good mix of people on it.
I will tell my kids that although mayweather and manny were the ones getting all the spot light that there were other tremendous boxers who suffered because of the media hype between them...
I will tell them the end of my era started with the birth of andre ward's quest for p4p no.1
I will tell them of hopkins, marquez and his insane counter punching , oscar, winky, mayorga's insane antics, margarito's cheating... Shane mosely defying the odds against margs, Gamboa's insane skills, and most of all about the ultimate blood and guts warrior Arturo "Thunder" Gatti who my son Is named after... Ohhh yeah and Winky... To show them how important a weapon a tight defence and good jab is.
Nope. It is Gamhoe'a's FAULT for extending his contract and then getting scared of the fight and being a coward. Watch his career take a huge hit now. Can't wait for Bob to sue him for all he's got.
pmsl a Rios fan calling Gamboa a coward??? GTFOH... Gamboa had to take the decision to leave his family behind for his career..., That takes more balls than i have or anyone i know has.. A coward is someone boiling down and killing themselves so they can bully smaller guys...
Just wait till rios starts at jww... He wont be able to bully as much and when he comes up against someone he cant walk through that has decent fundementals he will get fu*ked...
There is no honour in blocking punches with your face.. I wouldnt dare call him a bum as he is/was a champion and that i have to respect...
His boxing abilities are limited... He is a fu*king coward calling out a fighter 2 weights below him,,,,
Gamboa just ruined his career.
Not unless he can get out his contract and off to Mayweather/Golden Boy..
Arum also knows there is money to be made off him... Look at Doniare ffs..What he done was x10 worse... If HBO **** about with Arum/Gamboa Arum will just say he is taking Mannys next few fights to showtime....
.....okay Ortiz would stop him early.
Ortiz looks huge even @ 147.
While Rios looks big @ 135 .....
I wouldn't mind watching it @ 140....
if Ortiz can even make that weight.
I doubt that ortiz can make 140 and if he could he would be a dead man walking.. In his last fight at LWW against Petterson he had no energy after about 3 rounds.. As soon as Rios fights anyone who is the same size/bigger that he can't walk through and who has decent/average fundamentals he will struggle..
I will put my life on the line and go ahead and say you don't have a smart phone or Ebay.:stooges:
Well then you would be pretty stupid to do that.. I have both... I build websites and apps for a living dumbass..
We should consider this a legally binding contract witnessed by many..
Now go kill yourself pmsl....
Mathew Hatton vs Saul Alvarez and JCC jnr.. The WBC are a joke.. Regardless of whether Haye is deserving of a shot or not its the best fight to be made at Heavyweight..
I used to consider the green belt above all others.. Now i think its a joke and realise the belt doesnt make the champion... The champion makes the belt.
@ 147 against Ortiz Rios would get slaughtered.. He is too one dimensional .. He should aclimatise to 140 first and take a few fights and try and get a title there first and maybe try and clean up the division as its just lost all its top players to Welterweight but I think he is too one dimensional to clean up @ 140
When you open up an EBay or app world account you agree that you have read the terms and conditions and that becomes a legally binding contract..
Listen at the end of the day no contract has been signed and Gamboa is well within his rights to say he feels he isnt being offered what he deserves...
Lets take away everyones rights and let their employers dictate the change of their duties
would be nice if its in HD, dave. :cool2:
Sorry bro when i left the media company i worked with back then i never took the files i used to make it...
How **** has evolved since then lol
What if it was at 154? In all honesty i think that was Winkys best weight..
Would it have been different?
I still think Winky would UD him @ 154 but a bit closer..
We don't believe your stats. They are false without pics. Lol, jk.
To the point: A punch from a normal 110lb person is far different than one from a 110lb pro boxing world champion. He would put you to sleep.
Pmsl... Get the **** outta here... What interest would I possibly have in lying in this instance... Why would I even bring up the question if I was going to lie? I am interested to see whether people think he would knock me out... It serves me no benefits lying ffs... All I am asking I if you's think that Calderon would KO someone who is 6 ft 14 stone and in really good conditions with a good few years sparring behind him...
I couldn't care less whether you don't believe what I say... I have no reason to lie ffs
Im 5'10 170 and i once shake hands with calderon my respects to the dude but ill **** HIM UP... go to third grade and imagine u pounding one of them
YES!!! Lol that's what I wanna hear... He is tiny
Red K sent for being a complete idiot.
The disrespect you show is just amazing.
We all joke that so and so is a bum and a featherfisting poof etc etc etc
In reality, we are comparing them against top world talent.
Have you even sparred a round? You would probably be throwing up.
Doesnt matter how tall you are or how much you weigh over Paulie or Calderon, they will knock you out/you will collapse from heart attack / exhaustion.
You think anyone can just walk into the ring and dominate someone who dedicated their life to it? Even a feather fister like Calderon will make you beg for mercy inside a round or two. Once he starts going to your soft body it will be over.
So piss off CHarlie Z wannabe
You think its all about 1 punch power? They will go to your body/head until you start puking and begging for them to stop.
What a joke this guy is. These people dedicated their lives to it, just so some weekend warrior from "mean streets of Glasgow" can talk crap
Get the **** outta here you jack ass... I never said I would beat them etc... You say ohhh we all joke about them being feather fisted bums but then later on on your comment you call Calderon feather fisted and that I would die of a heart attack against them etc etc my conditioning is tremendous. I climb on average 25 munro's a year and do the west highland way twice a year.. Add to that the yraining involved in all that and the sports I play... I'm at a level of fitness. That I feel is almost as fit as I can be. Also that I think I'm a warrior because I'm from the "mean streets of glasgow" when I clearly said that means nothing in the ring... That comment was used when talking about my chin getting tested... I'm 1 foot taller than him and 7 stone... Its a valid question to ask you ass clown.
also in those 8 months ive never been dropped in sparring and fought guys who are up to 6 foot 4" and outweighed me by 2-3 stone...
I have been hurt a few times but not enough to go down and i always recovered enough to get the jab off and back up and compose myself against some big hitters
180 lbs is not huge but it is certainly big enough. if you let him pound on your face you'd eventually go out or get busted up, but you are in ZERO danger of getting turned into jello with one punch just because calderon is a professional and you are not.
calderon isnt much more than 5 feet tall. he topped out at 108 lbs. he's one of the lightest punching champions of all time in any weight class.
i've never been around calderon but i've been around pros as small as flyweight. many FWs and BWs.
they are tiny. just tiny.
now, if you are going 12 rounds and fighting a larger guy (say paulie malinaggi in his prime. not a big puncher.) and he's actually training, getting paid good money, motivated, you are probably getting stopped. 12 rounds is a long time to protect yourself against a top flight professional
i sat next to paulie at a fight in connecticut. he's not big, but he's a normal sized dude. at 180 lbs you'd be in danger fighting him.
now, we put you in there wtih julian jackson (arguably the hardest puncher ever p4p, topped out at MW,) and you're going to have a headache for the rest of your life.
I picked those 2 particular boxers because they aren't renowned punchers... I have a decent chin and mentally I'm the most stubborn single minded person I know.. I would have to be carried out on a streatcher before anyone beat me.. I'm pretty certain that no one at 5ft and 7 stone lighter than me isn't knocking me out... Malignaggi might get me out of there on accumulated punishment but I thought that with a 4 stone weight advantage and a highly bigger muscle mass I would have a decent punchers chance against him... Everyone seems to disagree with me so I must be wrong... But again I find it very unlikely that a 5ft 104lbs guy floors me
It doesn't realy make sense though in the context of the scenario you're talking about. You're trying to last the distance, right? Then puncher's chance really only means anything if you have an excellent jab or the power to disuade Paulie from wanting to engage... oh, sorry, you meant metaphorical puncher's chance. In which case everyone has those. Nothing is certain, only probable or improbable, and a non-boxer lasting the distance with Paulie M seems very improbable to me.
What I'm saying is that my size and weight advantage would keep them honest and they wouldn't walk through me.. I am pretty confident that Calderon doesn't Ko me... I'm pretty confident that my sparring gives me the tools I need to utilise my height weight and strength advantage enough that he doesn't stand a chance of walking through me..
I'm pretty sure my conditioning and boxing experience makes sure that malignaggi doesn't spark me either.. I could see malignaggi ****ing me up through an accumulation of shots over the rounds that I'm in a mess not to continue but not to knock me out in 1 punch..
I just looked that up and saw that Roy Jones Jr. was in season 2 of the show. :lol1:
haahahaha no way? RJJ? if you could find a link of the RJJ or Gatti one could you please pm me it. I have been looking for a while and cant find them
Are you thinking about stealing Calderon's woman?
lol no. but it was a discussion i had with friends a while back and they were saying calderon would ko me and i dont think he would. I mean there is always a chance in boxing but i wouldnt even wanna spar a guy at 5ft as i feel it would b a liberty. There are reasons why there are weight divisions in boxing
you are not getting kayod by ivan calderon
dont worry abotu that in the least
you met get exhaused and stopped, but you arent getting turned into a pile of goo from one punch from the lightest punching world champion of all time
most of these guys have probably never even seen a FW, BW, flyweight, etc.
they are miniscule. if you are big guy they really arent a threat.
This is exactley what I was thinking but apparently I'm getting knocked out by a midget... Calderon is tiny and has very little power in his weight class... All be it he is a tremendous boxer I doubt he is KO'ing me... If I was in trouble I would just pull a josh Clotey lol... But I doubt he would spark me.
