Having a discussion and my opinion is that the 1ft and 80lbs weight advantage is way too much... I have a few years of sparring behind me but no amateur or professional pedigree...
Also what about Mallignagi? I think he would UD me but I doubt he would KO me.. I think there is more chance of me KO'ing him than him KO'ing me as I think 4 stone is too much to give away to someone in good shape and with a decent boxing knowledge and fundamentals
Flyweight Omar Narvaez and light flyweight Roman Gonzalez would be too much for anyone here who isn't experienced, no matter their size.
Omar Narvaez is not feather fisted though. 21KO's in 40 fights at the pro level. And those two KO's he has in his last 5 fights against journeymen, those guys could probably take a punch better than some of us here.
Roman Gonzalez has 37 wins, 31 by KO's and undefeated. Although he's also very short and small, I would not be comfortable letting him take a free hit on me at all, he'd most likely KD me.
Calderon...no. Just no.
You guys are effing out of your minds. Malignaggi could probably kill you with his fists, he could easily KO anyone whos not of real boxing pedigree. Paulie could easily kill a regular civilian.
A little dude like Rigo would KO every single person in this thread, and wouldn't break a sweat. If you guys don't believe that, you really don't know anything about how good these guys actually are.

Guys, I love boxing, but a pro boxer does not have Gameshark type of ability over another man in a fight which disregards all disadvantages. Please stop it.
35 wins, 6 by KO AT Minimumweight=105 pounds.
Let that sink in for a second before making your next post.
6 KO's at 105lbs. Log out, go outside, sit down, take some fresh air, and think about it. 6 KO's at Minimumweight.
Well its depend. A tall big wannabe boxer thug internet warrior never been in a real pro boxing training let alone in a real boxing sparring will gases out before the end of round 1. You will never hit Calderon with your telegraphic punches and zero footwork. Calderon will see your slow ass punches coming and you just hit the air, Calderon will just circling you around, slipping some punches while tearing you with body shots. Of course without proper boxing training and religious boxing sparring your punch resistance is none existence.
By round 2 probably your stamina is gone, you will feel weak and exhausted, can't move your feet or lift up your hands, having a difficulty and catching your breath. Now your focus is not on Calderon anymore but to your dear life. By that time your either already quit, ko yourself in exhaustion or koed by a slap on your face. So please stop talking nonsense if you really don't. know about. boxing.
Well I don't know how well you could take a punch. I will say with certainty though, that if you got in the ring with either one of them, you would certainly be absolutely embarrassed. And you wouldn't KO Paulie either. I just don't get why people think they can hang with professional fighters, and not just professional fighters, but world champions.
When I first started boxing as a CW (regular HW in the amateurs), I was dropped in the 6th round of my first sparring session by a MW (a seasoned amateur). I was fatigued as f*ck and wouldn't have known defense if it was my own brother lol
Nothing at all, I just don't believe based on TS's and my size and experience sparring better fighters than me who landed alot of clean shots on me where I got a boxing lesson or 2 or 2 dozen that a really skilled pillow fisted 100lb 5'0 tall guy has the force to put me down let alone ko me with his cleanest hardest shot.
It is the same old ridiculous "Boxing reigns supreme over everything." People really believe that boxing gives you god like powers over another man no matter the size and strength of the man.
Paulie, I imagine hits harder than his record leads fans to believe. He can definitely get the odd KO against a pro boxer let alone an ordinary guy. But Calderon with an 80lbs and 1 foot disadvantage and no power to make up for it? No way.

OK fine have any of you got videos of yourself sparring to prove you know how to fight and not get KO'd
What does a video of any one sparring have to do with the opinion that a 5' tall, 100lbs feather fisted boxer can not KO a 6' tall 180lbs man?

I don't agree with just putting any amateur in there. It should at least be an am with a lot of experience.
awww bro. thanks. I have been looking for the Gatti one for ages as im a huge fan. I would give you point but you have 1000x more than me lol.. i hope karma is enough... i really appreciate this

Where's a video of you sparring da beast?
lol i aint posting no videos on here. I have seen it before. I could look like prime RJJ and people would slate it (i dont look anything like prime RJJ lol)
What a very strange thread..
But yeah..I've heard of guys going in with pro fighters (and I never went beyond local level sparring) and they've said the difference in ability is unbelievable...size ain't the issue (you've heard the saying 'it ain't the size of the dog in the fight...'). Unless you're kinda superhuman, a pro boxer, no matter how small, f#kks you right up without breaking sweat.
There was a 'tube clip doing the rounds recently where a 18/19 year old street fighter comes in to a boxing gym, challenges, and has his ass handed to him by a 14 YO - the bigger guy kinda does OK for a coupla minutes but gasses real quick and the kid just pours it on til the coach stops it outta mercy.

There's the baby. My bad, kid was 15 big guy is 20
lol thats just wrong. I dont mind seeing 15 year olds sparring older guys in the gym who know the rules of sparring but putting a 15 year old in vs some adult off the street at 20 is borderline child abuse whether the 15 year old wins or not.
I just looked that up and saw that Roy Jones Jr. was in season 2 of the show. :lol1:
haahahaha no way? RJJ? if you could find a link of the RJJ or Gatti one could you please pm me it. I have been looking for a while and cant find them
Didnt they do a pro's vs Joes and Gatti put a beating on some dudes

There should be exhibition fights where a pro can take on amateurs of bigger size, just for entertainment, not to go on their records. I could see the event selling and would get some amateurs great exposure if they fight well.
