Amir Khan, hated the way the english build'ed him up and it was
so obvious he was going to get KO'ed, Michael Gomez knocked
him down and nearly out. Willie Limond never had any punching
power and he knocked him down.
So i put 10 quid on prescott to win by KO, got 8 to 1 odds.
But he was graceful in defeat, went with roach, looked so much
better than before at the weekend against fagan and the english
fans have calmed down about him, thats my u-turn
One more win, against Hatton or someone of that calibre, and he's at the top.
A win over Mayweather, and there would be absolutely no doubt.
Agree totally, if Pacquiao beats Hatton in the summer next year
and went on to fight and beat Mayweather, then he is.
UFC 92's card would be the equivalent of say:
Hatton vs Pac
Cotto vs Marg rematch
Haye vs Wlad
All on the same card!
I argee that it is an amazing card, i am looking forward to it.
I just dont think it'll pass 1.25 million and am willing to put to
my points where my mouth is.
I'd say it wont, ufc had a great year but their three big buys
were lesnar events.
I am willing to bet measly 1500 points that it wont get
more than pacman-de la hoya, if any one wants?
No hate posts on either side please what are your predictions for this fight. Haye will fight Vitali in June possibly for the WBC title or if the WBC force a fight with Gomez Vitali will vacate to fight Haye. Now I realise most people will vote for Vitali and I agree he will be favourite but Vitali hasn’t been tested since his layoff and hasn’t faced anyone with Hayes speed or power for some time, the biggest question mark over the fight is will Haye be able to avoid Vitali's punches and be able to take the ones that land, If he can I think he has a good chance. I’m picking Haye by UD but I am not stupid and I realise Vitali will likely win.
And on a side note I seriously hope Vitali doesn’t get injured in training again.
I argee with your point about speed but i don't think haye can
take his punches for 12 rounds, so klitschko by KO.
Fairly sure it wont be shown live in the uk.
i was going to stream it from here:

British Eurosport have a two hour boxing
program on tuesday at 8 pm. the eurosport
website doesn't list what match will be shown
so it might be shown there
I don't know, it really isn't the same anymore.
Jim Lampley is always asking lewis what it would feel like for the boxers inside the ring, because he hasn't had the same experience.
as for manny steward, was he ever a fighter?
Well lampley, always hides behind the analysis guys because
when he used to try give his own analysis people said he was
talking crap. So now he just give a more play-by-play role and
hands off the tricky stuff to the others guys.
I personally think he is a action great commentator, can keep
pace with the action, doesn't mess his words and talks in a
coherent way. its harder than you think, if you watch wwe
and listen to a guy called michael cole, you'll know what i mean.
He fought as an amateur, but never pro. his amateur record was
94-3.
Any of you Americans ever seen the Setanta coverage we have here in the UK?
Its really decent for a young TV channel, they have Richie Woodhall as commentator and a number of ex / current fighters as pundits..
Oh and I ve got loads of fights on my computer with HBO coverage and i ve always enjoyed it :)
I always find english commentators way to biased,
ok i know your going to support your own country but
don't be so blatant about it.
James Allen with Lewis Hamilton and the sky sports
coverage of Hatton/Mayweather arre two good examples.
But, I think the sky sports coverage is better than setanta.
harold lederman was a judge and now acts
as their "unofficial ringside scorer".
jim lampley is the play-by-play commentator.
They will have either larry merchant or max kellerman as the colour/technical analysis commentator.
And they will have Lewis, Steward or Foreman for commentating from a boxer/trainer.
Thats why i love their coverage,
they have every angle addressed
I have to say though, larry merchant and max kellerman sound as though they have fought, because they speak like ex fighters and come up with real good analysis.
merchant and kellerman are brillant.
kellerman post-fight with judah after the clottey fight was class.
judah claims the cut was by headbutt, they show judah the replay
which was clear it was a punch and cut back to the camera on
judah with his jaw open.
About merchant, From wikipedia:
Merchant is well known for his post fight interviews which feature his hard hitting, blunt questions and confrontational interview style. These have drawn both praise and ire in the past. Fans have claimed them to be candid and honest while detractors consider them to be purposely agitational and insensitive at times. An example of this occurred when Vernon Forrest won a controversial decision in 2006 over Ike Quartey. When Forrest thanked those close to him, Merchant quipped, "Would you also like to thank the judges?".
Thanks for the video and pics.
Well, I bet my hard earned cash on klitschko to win by KO/TKO.
I'm thinking a knockout around the 8th or 9th round.
I just hope klitschko is as good as he was.
I just really like him as a commentator.
He doesn't really say all that much from a technical point
of view but he can give a good play by play and seems to
work well with whoever is sitting beside him.
What's going on with this fight? It's showing that it is cancelled on the boxing schedule and both guys don't have the fight listed in boxrec. I was just looking for the venue and noticed it. Anyone know what's going on?
