He destroyed Hatton. Wasn't even close. He staggered him like 6 times in the last 3 rounds. But Hatton had just signed a 4 fight contract with HBO, and they weren't gonna let him begin that with a loss.
I had Collazo beating Hatton. Against Berto, it was a closed fight but i was rooting for Collazo even though i liked Berto too. A draw would have been OK for me.
The fight with Hatton was closer IMO. It really should have been a draw. While the fight with Berto was certainly close I don't see a legit case that he won or deserved a draw.....It was just a close fight but clearly one that Berto won.
Berto fight. Not a robbery like many think, but I think he shoulda won. He coulda conceivably won the Hatton fight, but it was basically dead even wit 1 KD, and he bein the guy who got dropped I had no complaint toward that decision.
neither. He wants to win, those big fights, he needs to fight all 12 rounds, and not get knocked down. He finished strong against Hatton, but lost to many early rounds and a couple of later rounds. With Berto it was a close fight back and forth, but he lost the championship rounds which in my eyes were the deciding rounds.
They were both close fights. Realistically he could have been given either decision, but I thought he did a bit more in the Berto fight. He had that fantastic 12th round against Hatton, but I still had Hatton winning by a point on account of the knockdown. I think I gave Collazo the Berto fight by a point or two, but Berto certainly closed the show better.
hatton easily.. to me that fight was only fairly close.. i think i had collazo up by 2 or 3 points.. berto won that his fight in my eyes fair and square in a very close fight
Ricky Hatton also says that even do Floyd Mayweather Ko'd him and give him his first loss, Collazo was his toughest ever fight.
Collazo also has to be Berto toughest fight to date.
