We have a competetive top 4 in this division in:
Kessler
Bute
Taylor
Froch
Some good matchups can be made within the group,But who is the top man out of the bunch?
taylor is most definitely not as skilled as kessler, have you seen taylors footwork? it's poor and it cost him 2 fights with one dimensional pavlik, land that right hand? on what? the cealing? he wins that up too much, kessler will predict it, his handspeed matched up well with calzaghe who is faster than taylor.
I guess we will have to wait and see.
Kris you know I have a soft spot for Taylor. I don't think he should be judged on basis of his fights with Ouma or Stinks etc. If that's the Taylor that shows he'll surely lose.
I think Taylor is more skilled than Kessler and could potentially score hard and often with the right counter. That's the sunday punch on Mikkel. Taylor is slick and fast enough to do that, but he'll need to avoid that pole-like jab of Kessler.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. The best Taylor beats the best Kessler. But will we get to see the best Taylor again?
what drugs are you taking.
taylor was never that great, 2 50/50 "wins" over hopkins at 160 where hopkins was clearly suffering to make. at 170+ hopkins has been reborn.
taylor then "drew" with winky, won lucky decisions over spinks and ouma and got ktfo by pavlik.
your crazy.
Kesslers #1, definitely. On skill he is, and he has this backing him up http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237830
Bat, I'm most intrigued with you favouring Taylor over Kessler, but Kessler over Calzaghe in a rematch. Can I ask why in short you think this is?
Kessler does everything Taylor does better I reckon, so takes it.

Taylor is a threat he has a good jab and has a touch of class about him, Kessler stops the other two fighters.
lets not forget that Taylor just got past Hopkins who has a poor workrate, and looked shit against Ouma and Spinks. Infact i thought he lost to both Spinks and Wright to be honest. So although he maybe a good performer when he gets it right, he also has many off days too.
I still think Kessler wins unless Taylor brings all of his potential to that one fight.

kessler beats taylor, what the hell is taylor gonna do to beat kessler? kessler is stronger, punches harder, is more accurate, has better punches, better footwork, better balance, better workrate...everything. taylor has faster hands but only just. taylor winds up his right hand something rotten and kessler would be able to telegraph that beautifully and land his own counters, emmanuel steward had it right, taylor is a raw fighter.
Taylor. Kessler kayos the rest but loses on points to Taylor. That's my crystal ball.

That means you see an upset in the list, who do you think beats him?

Kessler has by far the better record at the weight. He might not come out on top against all the others, but he would and should enter all those fights as the favorite.

King arthur and he hasn't even started at 168. If the pavlik fight isnt gonna happen i hope he goes to 68 and whoops on these fighters
I rate him and would have added him to the list but you cant add someone to the list of 168lb fighters if he hasnt even moved up yet, he still has unfinished buisness in his own back yard at Middleweight. I think Pavlik may duck him though.

Kessler and Taylor, and I still say that's the best fight that can be made at 168.
Maybe, but can the fight be made, as another poster stated Kesslers promoter isnt exactly the cream of the crop. He seems happy filling out Danish arenas with Kessler headlining against whoever will travel there.(like frank warren did with hatton years ago.)
