The judges weren´t german and such things aren´t "only" done in Germany. Of course, one of the judges had an absurd score and such persons should be banned. So should the judge at the Dimitrenko-fight.
Nevertheless there was no robbery, but a close fight.
there are some users who get it, they are pretty much unbiased, understand how to score boxing rounds, what counts what doesnt and more importantly a real boxing fan understands the fact that these guys are human beings and as a fight unfolds what happens in the ring affects each fighter and their performance. I am saying this to make a specific point: two guys fought a very gutsy tough fight last night, had Cotto not been horribly cut that fight would have been completely different. Not saying Cotto blows Clottey out but he would have been more aggressive, not have eaten so many rights and punches he could have seen and had more energy. That said many of these people need to accept that fact. Understand that is a dynamic of boxing and understand that Clottey couldn't or didnt make the decsion to recognize the situation and step it up to take Cotto out. Atlas nailed it in his statements he gets it other people need to learn form his outlook.

I had Cotto ahead by 1 point. The outcome was ok, even though a tiny lead for Clottey would have been possible. And no, I´m not a Cotto-fanboy. In fact I wanted Clottey to win, but he didn´t do enough in the later rounds. Close fight, but not a robbery.
Nevertheless 116-111 was a joke.

i havent seen the fight but it was 7 rounds to 5 across the board plus a knockdown and it was in germany. doenst sound like anyone got beat up to me.

Well, Sturm is still somewhat popular in germany and has enough fans, who want to see him fight. They usually don´t have a clue about boxing, if Sturm fought Abraham, even those idiots would have to accept that he sux and he would lose his fans, because it wouldn´t look like the ODLH-fight. Felix Sturm got far slower and his defense is bad as well. I blame his trainer for that development.
Well, Ross Enamait, who was in his corner said that the result was OK. Godfrey didn´t do enough the 1st few rounds. The fight wasn´t shown on german TV completly. I only saw a few scenes.
Matt picked things up and finished the fight strong. It was not enough however. After looking to the scorecards, they had given the first 4 rounds to Kraj. Matt simply got too far behind, and wasn't able to regain the ground. I'm proud of the effort that he put forth in the late rounds however. He sucked it up when he needed to. He finished strong, but it wasn’t enough to offset the slow beginning. I tip my hat to Kraj. He won the silver medal in the Olympics and is a solid pro. He came to fight and I can't argue with anything. Kraj fought well.
