He should go to 140 because going back to 135 could be a bad move and there's no one for him. He should fight Khan and then set that trilogy with Pac or fight Bradley.
True, but do you think someone of his old age can beat a young prospect like Bradley?
I understand marquez called him out, but floyd wasnt forced to take the fight. He has been called out before and decided not to accept the challenge for whatever reason. Him coming back and not fighting a top welterweight is not only gonna not prove anything, but its going to add more controversy to his legacy.
Im not a fan of mayweather, but he is not a runner. He is a pure boxer which isnt a tv friendly style, especially when most of the general public wants to see knockouts
It was a close fight that could of gone either way, but yeah dem cards was rediculous. I wouldnt even be suprised if the judges got mad a paulie for mouthing off that they scored the fight before the fight even happened.
c'mon playa..let it go...it was a close fight that could have gone either way but dem judges screwed paulie over so viciously that i almost became a malignaggi fan on the spot
No, i mean paulie was looking smooth but it was rickys power that was bothering him. Diaz was cathing Paulie with clean shots but the problem was that he didnt have much power behind dem baby bull fists
not much..from me anyway..givin the circumstances of the fight he SHOULD win..of course if he loses its gonna be all bad for him. I think Manny is in somewhat in a win/win situation..i mean if he loses then its like you cant really blame him cus he fought a top welterweight ect ect...if he wins..well I dont think i have ta explain what will happen...The only people that might give him full credit are the mainstream boxing fans

haha good one...as i was scrolling down the pics i was kinda complainin that they were all manny pics..n then the ass came out of no where..shut me up
He isnt a favorite to general boxing fans because of his style..i dont hate him, but im not a fan of his because he has been given the gift to shine at what he does, but he decides to curse himself by not shinning to his fullest potential....he could be one of the atg without any arguement, but he decides to price himself out instead of making progress with his legacy, making his legacy untouchable...i mean being real he has a high percentage chance of beating cotto, shane, berto, and any other elite/prospect fighter in his weight class..im not saying he could beat all those fighters hands down, but if you wanna be the greatest you gotta take chances even if it means not coming on top all the time....to sum it up short he was given a gift by god or whatever divine power you want, and instead of using that gift to give the world something they will always remember he spits in their face
I dont think conditioning or weight had anything to do with ricky's performance against mayweather/pac. The reason pac k.o.ed ricky 7 rounds faster than floyd did was because of styles. Pac has one punch knockout power and likes to come foward, while floyd doesnt have the punching power that pac has and he perfers to use his boxing skills to move around the ring and find openings.
First of all this fight should have never been made, it was a mismatch from the beginning. Yes marquez wanted the fight, thats because he's a warrior and he is coming towards the end of his career so he is looking for any big fight possible. BUT mayweather was not forced to take the fight, no one was gonna shit on him for not fighting marquez.
Secondly I think ppl are 'disgusted' with mayweathers actions because the fight already being a mismatch, mayweather decided to not come in at 144 pounds to make it a little fair for marquez. Mayweather is faster, bigger, longer reach, has been fighting comfortably in that weight, and now instead of giving marquez some cushin, he totally stacked himself with every possible advantage over a lightweight that had to come up 2 divisions.
How many fights did Pac have at lightweight before he came to WW to fight Oscar?
Im not sure why you keep bringing up Oscar, the fight he had Pacquiao was something that should have not happened either, and oscar got what he deserved. Mayweather is not draining himself to fight marquez, as we saw in the weigh in he is pretty much taking it like a normal welterweight fight.
Well from what your saying its a tune up fight, so that means he doesnt need to fight anyone with any kind of pull, he just really needs to fight a 'ok' opponent to knock off that 'rust'. Whats bothering a lot of people is that he is coming back and taking on Marquez (who he has not business fighting, like DLH fighting Manny) and he is making it seem like he is actually accomplishing something big.
I am going to have to disagree with you about being fair.
Wasn't that kind of the situation with Oscar? Please correct me, but DLH picked weight, gloves, ring size, etc,,, and Oscar had a substantial size advantage.
Yeah u right playa...but what does Oscar have to do with Mayweather fighting Marquez who recently had only two fights in the lightweight division?
Can you give me your educated guess on why mayweather chose to fight marquez instead of a top welterweight opponent?
cotto and marg will be a great fight, ill be rooting for marg but im somewhat torn. if cotto losses the fight then it may be even harder for him to get a fight with mayweather, and honestly i feel that cotto has a better chance of beating mayweather than does marg imo.
