Paulie used his foot work and speed last night to work through 12 rounds aginst a smaller fighter pressuring him. He did a decent job, besides being tagged sligthly often and being rocked a few times.
He puts on a "boxing clinic" or "out boxes" him...
Mayweather uses his foot work and speed for 12 rounds while being hit no more than 5-10 times a round and out landed his opponent by nearly double. Hardly ever being cleanly hit, never being rocked or stumbled, against a guy larger than him.
He is "running".
Please explain what defines "running" and "boxing" in terms of fighting style.
Mayweather has been tested before, Jose Luis Castillo tested him in their first fight(which JLC shoulda won). He took him in the rematch tho.....
Just by you saying that floyds style is to fight goin backwards, indicates you havent watched many of his fights. Go watch Corrales,JLC I&II,Ndou,Judah,Gatti,Corely. He only fights defensively if hes fighting someone bigger. You were a boxer right? Youre in the ring with someone who out weighs you by possibly 20lbs. Do you bring the fight to him or do you use your speed and elusiveness to win?
Floyd has the talent to beat anyone and do it the way he wants to do. I think he has all the tools of a complete fighter. I don't think we'll ever see Floyd fight at his full potential at this point in career. We might see his B game, but not A. Because I don't think there is anyone to bring it out of him.
Because Mayweather is and always will be the guy everyone despises. May has been playing the "villain" role since the beginning of his professional career. His wins are so dominant that he doesn't need to show heart because he handles foes w/ ease. People want to see blood, heart, slugfests, they want to see him in get in trouble so bad because they want to a true boxers heart. MAYWEATHER TRULY HAS YET TO BE TESTED. There's a reason why a lot of boxing fans don't remember him getting hit flush. He shows the same confidence and traits as Ali he just hasn't been in the same caliber of fights Ali has. TRUE STORY.

So you really dont know if he got rocked, make up your mind because he did. I was about 15-20 feet away and saw his entire body. You could even hear his corner yelling for him to hold on atthe same moment.Yes them knees did buckle, and they did more than once.
The fact that you may have been a boxer before means shit, i know pleanty of people who have boxed and dont know shit. The fact that you call what Paulie did "out boxing" someone then say what PBF does is "running" shows how much you know.
Boxers typically know what goes on inside of the ring better than say someone like you who is a critic and will never lace up a pair. I've fought over 100 times as an army boxer, I know what I'm talking bout.I admit floyd is an elite boxer but his style is ugly, he almost immediately backs to the ropes, He does almost no work on the ropes. He lost rounds against Hatton and let him into the fight that way, when he was in the middle of the ring it was a ****ing turkey shoot. It's not that he;s pressured there it's that he selectively goes there. PBF is a good boxer but he runs way too much and lays on the ropes way too much. I just plain don't like Floyd at all, I'm rooting for Marquez to pull off the upset.

He stuck behind the jab, circled, avoided punches and for every 1 punch diaz landed malignaggi threw a combo.rocked? his legs weren't buckled not once, if you talkin bout the 2nd or 3rd round then maybe. It looked more as if he lost his balance a bit, thats why you didnt see diaz really pounce on him. People clinch to prevent the other guy from getting off with his offense again, if you'd ever laced up the gloves before you'd know this. You armchair boxers don't know shit. He neutralized Diaz's offense and should've won the fight.

I know... I know. :nonono:
****, today seriously... so many people have made Floyd fans look bad!
it's just these guys that have only seen Floyd fight and think he is G.O.A.T that piss me off.
He boxed beautifully he allowed Diaz to land 178 punches. And rock him several times to the point he had to hold on.
Amazing.

really doesn't matter when you're fighting stiffs and old men thru the later part of your career. ODLH isn't known as a defensive fighter and come on Ricky Hatton? Injury prone Sharmba Mitchell? Carlos Baldomir?Zab Judah?(I'm a fan of his but I recognize and acknowledge his limitations) these guys aren't known for their defensive prowess.
you're funny
how the hell are you the most dominant boxer if you only throw 15 punches per round?.....do you want me to pull out the stats in the baldomir fight?.....lol
11/4/06 W 12 CARLOS BALDOMIR (another vintage Floyd performance. Outlanded Baldomir 199-79 in total punches, landing 43% to Baldomir’s 12%. Baldomir landed single digits in 11 of 12 rounds. Floyd also landed 51% of his power shots, including 67% in 8th (8 of 12) and 64% in 9th (16 of 25). Scoring: 120-108 2x, 118-110)

Those numbers were punches landedper round.
STFU
Did you really have to make this thread? Haters hate Mayweather because he is American and black. He's undefeated and will most likely never lose. Haters can't sleep at night knowing they will never get vengeance.
Holy shit. :killyou:
Yeah yeah yeah, point is. PBF lands punches, wether they be pot shots or watever, he lands. And he lands alot while not being landed on. He is in fact the most dominant fighter in the history of compubox according to compubox stats. (Accuracy, punches landed vs punches landed on, rounds won)

He holds, pushes his way out or spins the other guy around, and gets pack to runnin his 100m dash. Armchair boxers make me sick. Paulie boxed beautifully(circled albeit the wrong way) and he should've won the fight.

shit....the mullet boxer landed more than that til he got ktko before the end of first round....lol

So how does he ever make it out of the corner if hes going backwards forthe entire fight?

He landed 129 in 10 rounds against Hatton.
So if you can divide thats 129/10=12.9
12.9>10
stfu.
Oh and he landed 207 against DLH over 12 rounds, so...
207/12=17.25
17.25>10
Once again, stfu.
Oh, and he landed 168 over 6 vs Gatti
Ill let you do the math on that one
They're not being serious lol, don't get your panties up in a bunch.
Floyd is on his backfoot going BACKWARDs the whole fight. Paulie did that in spots but, for the most part he was circling Diaz not going backwards(he was circling the wrong way tho, I'm surprised his trainer didn't notice that).

huh ok!...lets make it 15 if it makes you sleep better.....lol
