Seems like it's impossible to find Al Haymon or Leonard Ellerbe's phone numbers, even if you're looking to toss $75 million their way. But Ben Thompson over at fighthype is the go to guy for anyone looking to make a deal with Floyd. Thompson>>>>Haymon>>>>>Ellerbe on the pyramid. Ballin'.
I wonder what his finder's fee is on that $150 mil
lmao...if thompson is the guy you have to go to, to make a deal with floyd then the more you can't trust anything that comes out of his website as far as the pac-floyd drama is concerned:lol1:
don't know what floyd is thinking but dropping the lawsuit before any talks should begin is like that of a girl giving up her virginity because her boyfriend promised to marry her after...so naive:lol1:
Ellerbe and Schafer both said they reached out to Arum, collectively and individually over the past month, including immediately after the Marquez fight.
so they reached out to arum to negotiate but when arum started talking about negotiations taking place, floyd's camp issued a denial through fighthype:wtf:
it's bull$hit from both sides and only a blind fanatic can't see that:poke:
Stop making up sh*t so you can say it's everyone's faults. Floyd had his team reach out to Bob Arum to make the fight. So regardless of whether or not he wants him out of the picture, it's not compromising what he should do.
shut the fukk up fanboy. didn't floyd say that he can't wait for arum to disappear from top rank so he could work with todd and dena duboef without any problem? if arum doesn't wanna work with floyd, floyd feel the same way with arum. they hate each other with passion and it's getting in the way of the fight to happen.
Yeah because Arum hasn't reached back out to them. So uhh yeah.
he doesn't really need to get back at schaeffer because floyd is not under gbp.
and involving gbp would mean less profit for arum so that's expected. as far as ellerbe is concerned, i don't think arum really take him seriously so he went straight to floyd. but maybe floyd didn't like the idea of arum bringing in investors because he want's his own investors.
they're both control freaks and this fight will not happen unless one of them will give in.
fukk both sides...floyd wanna get rid of arum totally to fight pac eventhough it's not really an option...arum's greedy a$$ will not allow pac to fight floyd unless he can have complete control of the promotion. pac is stupid to not notice that he's getting fooled by arum and koncz.
and fukk all fanboys who can't see the obvious reasons why this fight is not happening is because both sides are at fault. both sides are full of $hits and lies and you simpletons will not recognize that because you're more interested in dikkriding your idol.
They reached out to Arum through a trusted 3rd party, and Arum apparently told the 3rd party that he wasn't interested in negotiating the fight. Arum then came out and said that they were going to give Pacquiao time to rest over the holidays and then make their decision about what they would do next. Due to the backlash of that position, Arum has now created a smoke-screen to give the illusion that he's seriously trying to make the fight. It doesn't take a genius to see through this if your pay attention.
brickwall are you dat fukkin dumb>????? Keep up!!!!
If floyd/gbp offered a hand, and arum never responded to them, but responded with some investors gonna help us bull****, what the hell are you thinking!!
The point is that arum is saying negotiations are going on, without responding to the people that extended their hands.... Hes talking to michael jacksons daddy for fukks sake!!!!! Lol
lemme spell it out...
Floydco./gbp says lets talk, arum doesnt respond to them but brings in other parties that cant do jack sh!t without floydco./gbp......
Hence floyd and co are saying aint no negotiations as we have not heard fro arum at all. Floyd didnt know who the fukk koncz was.... Keep in mind floyd doesnt read all the negative stuff about him as he always states. His team brings him positive stuff,a nd koncz has never stated anything positive about floyd so he really wouldnt know who koncz was....
don't quote me...don't want your garbage.
there's nothing in boxing that is flawless...from compubox to judging to refereeing...everything can be flawed by human error and bias. those flaws are already there even before you became a boxing fan but you still chose to become one...therefore you accepted those flaws that comes with it. it's pure hypocrisy to bring up those flaws now just because it didn't serve your agenda.
If I knock your ass out... that's flawless.
If I hit you 30 times in a round and you hit me once... that's flawless.
Don't be soo quick to say that everything has flaws. It is trivial. Besides that, the people I'm addressing typically say "numbers don't lie" in regards to compubox. This thread is a dose of reality for those people as well as ones in between. Lets not turn 1+1 into rocket science in some egotistical attempt to "own" the ts. Just take the facts and smile.
:rofl::rofl:
it's not my fault that you're an idiot with a stupid agenda. keep punching those keyboard internet toughie...let's see if you can knock me out:lol1:
i don't see where the robbery that people are bringing up is coming from...there's no robbery at all. it's a very close fight with a lot of very close rounds but i don't blame the judges for giving those close rounds to pac. i think it's a unwritten rule in judging a boxing bout...in a close or even round you give it to the fighter who took the initiative and took more risk. in other words, you get points for initiating the action but you don't get anything for being extra cautious and defensive. that's the story of this fight and their 2 previous fight. pac took most of the initiatives to the point of getting too predictable and jmm setting up counter traps.
when all emotions settle down, more and more people will agree that pac won the fight:cool2:
also, i don't get the notion that because jmm gave pac 36 rounds of hell, and vice versa, people are giving jmm mad props but are too critical of pac. shouldn't both of them be credited instead? if only jmm gets credit that's like saying pac is on a different level and jmm has no right to be competitive against him. jmm is a very skilled fighter and the best counterpuncher in the game right now. what pac has done against a fighter of jmm's caliber is not something any other fighter can do. in fact, pac is the only opponent who gave jmm the advantage of fighting him at his best game (counterpunching) because of pac's aggresive style.
Roy Jones chin wasn't tested. He was gifted fighter and just never got hit until he lost his timing not to mention he was I think 36 at the time.
Mayweather has been tested and was able to take punches that KO'ed Margarito.
the fukk are you saying? margarito took a ton of those punches before he got ko'ed. floyd only took 2...if he took another 1 or 2 of those who knows if he could've still survive it.
The point was it was 2 bombs that he took. His chin is tested. He stood up to Mosley's power. The same power Margarito was KO'ed with. yeah Margartio took a lot of shots.... he's a fuking bum since he lost his plaster...
damn... sensitive ass people today...
what point? there's absolutely no comparison with margarito.
I don't believe Floyd Jr. would be so low as to do that.
I think he had a genuine desire to help the Fraziers, and
it should be appreciated as that. I just have to believe
that the Fraziers had already accepted Floyd's kind offer,
before he announced it.
I think he could have handled publicizing the fact with
more concern for the Fraziers' dignity, but *shrug* we
all make mistakes.
i really hope he did. who knows joe took a funeral insurance for himself when he was still alive so that part has already been taken care of. anybody can still give financial assistance of course and it's always a good deed for people to do that. the criticisms about floyd is not his act of giving financial assistance but the way he announced it on twitter. and i don't blame the critics because for me personally, if i'm going to use my personal standards, i will never do such thing (the twitter announcement).
They go around saying JMM will give him trouble. Then they go around talking about how Pacquiao is going to destroy Mayweather, who is 10x better at anything Marquez does plus things Marquez cant do. Shows how bad they want to make this fight look good.
so you're trying to counter what you think is stupid with a more stupid statement? gotcha:fing02:
It is not clear that if Pac struggles with Marquez he'd lose to Mayweather, styles make fights. He might have 3 tough ones with Marquez and knock out Mayweather. You never know.
i agree...i don't know why people keep on bringing up pac's performance against jmm to assess his chances against floyd. if pac struggled against a skilled fighter like jmm blah blah blah...then he has no chance against a more skillful fighter like floyd. well, floyd and jmm are 2 different fighters with different styles and different skills set so i don't know how you can use that as a gauge.
Floyd is open to criticisms just like any other sports celebrity. And his personal standards are pretty classless anyway so it's not a surprise he gets criticized a lot. And just like any other sports celebrity, his personal life is now part of his boxing career. That's because the media brings it into people's consciousness by covering up almost all of his activities. That's the prize of being a celebrity. I don't get why floyd fans are being so sensitive about the criticisms floyd gets. And if you think about it, these are the same people who are very critical of other fighters.
i was surprised when dela hoya paid pac a visit while training at wcg a few days ago...i think they really wanna make this fight happen this time.
i really hope so...the peds accusation on pac and coward labeling on floyd is getting old for pactards and flomos to trade insults everyday. that $hit is a torture to other posters and it has to end...the fight needs to happen.
