When will people learn? :lol1:
It just goes to show the type of idiocy people will say in this place. They think just cause they post in a boxing forum that they know something. When in reality, they don't.
How about Canelo was going to "destroy" Golovkin with bodyshots because Ward Kovalev? That was pretty stupid. Or "just because Canelo doesn't stop anyone who's not chinny I still expect him to knock GGG out?".. That was pretty stupid..
Fury claims that he is 6´9 but on this photo he looks an inch smaller than 6´8 Price.
Always though this, plus seeing Price stood with Joshua at ringside he seemed to tower over AJ. Maybe Dave is taller than he thinks he is.
What is it with all these videos surfacing of AJ and Wilder being knocked down? What does it prove other than they're human? Really, no one gives a sh1t.
No, because the iron men on here won't put up with guys being hurt by punches. Everyones a bum, chinny, cowardly, and everyone who supports a fighter is a tard, fan boy or wants homosexual relations with them.If you even get hit in a fight, lose a round, or a guy takes you the distance your a hype job bum. The posters on this site are just incredibly tough and have high standards, that's all.
Nice bloke Price, good fighter it's a shame he had such a tiny head. He really has the head of a lightweight and I think it is the reason he gets hurt so easily.
Yea well, he brought it himself. He should have offered to meet Rigondeaux half-way instead of making him jump two classes to get the fight.
I really detest Lomachenko. The guy is mentally retarded. I like how the rest of the world calls us Stupid Americans, there Euro's man I'll tell ya.
I don't think Loma is from Europe.
Ukraine is europe's biggest country when were talking landmass, so he's definitely european, they aren't part of the european union though
Yeah, I don't think of him as a European as he's not part of the EU. Then again I'm from the UK and were leaving so I guess I'm not one either now lol.
who had fought welters/jr mw's and already been in big ppv events, was supposed to be in a hurry or rush to fight a 33 year old guy with a lackluster ppv under his belt against a guy that lost to joachime alcine and marco rubio?
i dont get it guys...i still see golovkin fanboys running around here talkin bout canelo waiting ggg out and waitin for him to show signs of rust
what was he supposed to do ? fight golovkin 5 years ago too? lolol...
its just sad....i aint even gonna bash golovkin...but yall ran around here swearing canelo bout to get his career, life etc. ended....and golovkin couldnt even convincingly beat a guy floyd whitewashed......cmon guys...get a grip and realize golovkin is a real good fighter...he just aint great like yall wanted him to be
I just don't know why you can't see that the 25 year old, superstar, in he's prime, shouldn't have convincingly beaten a 35 year old as in almost every other similar situation in boxing history when a young star has he's big night against an aging older champion. And you don't have to be Robinson himself to be great. Being the best middle in the world is a good start, especially when your career isn't done yet despite your age. As for Floyd, styles make fights, but your not saying a 152 lb much more inexperienced Canelo is equivalent to today's version are you? Btw, I don't remember anyone calling for the fight five years ago, all people expected Saul to do was defend he's title like a champion should.
You would be wrong.
Ukraine - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine
Ukrajina ), sometimes called the Ukraine, is a sovereign state in Eastern Europe...
Yeah, I was thinking in terms of being an EU citizen, but you're right it is continental Europe, unless Putin says its not lol.
I never said coward, I have said golovkin was a bum beater, asnd he is...since brook (who I don't even count) he has not looked like a killer or a monster he was made out to be. Again, he's a B level fighter with a great chin, but his skill is lacking vs better opposition. HBO has fooled most everyone with all of this hype, that is coming to an end and in May, will be rid of it.
And if he wins in May it'll be done with smoke and mirrors again? Middleweight ain't a great division, but it wasn't he's fault Pirog and Eubank Jnr didn't come off. Nobody is saying he's Ray Robinson, but B levels abit harsh. He is what he is, he's generally in good fights, I don't know why you can't appreciate that type of style, but each to he's own, we'll see in May.
It's funny how going into the fight triple g is p4p #1 ko artist MW king. After the fight he is 35. Like his age all the sudden plays a factor
Funny how before the fight he was a coward ducking soon to be destroyed hype job. Now after the fight where he wasn't destroyed hes actually still a hype job with no skills who age has no effect on.
This! How fvcking stupid is OP?
Oh, and would he mind posting gif's of several flush shots that gaylovekin actually landed? Thanks lol
A 35 year old beat Canelo by consensus and only drew because of an incompetent judge and he's "gaylovekin"?. You must be one hard man.. 🤔
i imagine people will say canelo stops ggg in the rematch because ward stopped kovalev in the rematch. the same way they suddenly out of nowhere decided ggg was vulnerable to the body because kovalev was. people seem to find it hard to understand that european fighters arent all the same.
Yeah all them soviets look the same. Russian rib syndrome is real mate..
Golovkins body LOOKS vulnerable and Canelo is a vicious body puncher. Not crazy to think it could end like that
How many times has he been floored by bodyshots? I don't see what people are saying they picked on with this subject.
How did he look vs Canelo though? Let's be unbiased here. Canelo looked imo far superior as far as skill goes. Had canelo not gassed, do you think the fight would've been close at all? Without bias, I really don't think he looked like he belonged in the same ring without him. He gassed and that's really the only thing that kept the fight close. That's my absolute honest opinion.
Well your entitled to that. I think it was a good fight. I think Golovkin is a good pressure fighter and I think he's pressure made Canelo gas. You've got to have a good chin and decent skills to stay on a par with Alvarez. Like I say it was a good fight, that most seem to think Golovkin won, and were probably gonna have a rematch. Plenty of action and both fighters conducted themselves with class. Why can't people just accept it for what it was? Why does one dude have to be a bum and a coward? I don't get it.
He didn't beat Canelo...3 judges decided it was a draw....golovkin loses the rematch.
By consensus opinion he did. He's still the champion, Canelo made no impression on a 35 year old who you see as a gay bum. High standards only apply to those you don't like?
Promotional problems and 400 amatuer fights. Canelo started practicing pro boxing at 15,so it took him a while to build up to being the only superstar of boxing who gets run around the ring by a 35 year old.
Opinions don't matter, plenty here are fine with the draw for a guy that supposedly won, but missed about 500 punches.
Made no impression? Golovkin's face tells another story.
One guy came forward and made the fight. Canelo should've knocked out a 35 year old with no defence. Of course opinions matter. Even judging is an opinion. But the only card that scored for Canelo winning was universally seen as a joke. When Golovkin doesn't have a mark against Jacobs it counts for nothing. When he does against Canelo it suddenly counts? Hmm, yeah I think I get it..
But he said he got on a bike and back peddled. Not just back peddled. :dunce:
"Get on ya bike" is old London slang for GTFOH. There was no bike Robbie. He mightve had skates on though, I'm prepared to believe that.
Can't tell the truth here man...people don't want to admit the guys skills were simply mediocre.
Why didn't Canelo take the titles then? The future of boxing can't do any better than that?
Before the fight = Golovkin has great footwork, a master of cutting off the ring. Canelo is slow, he's going to get beat up.
Now they're basically admitting Golovkins footwork isn't as good as they said. :lol1:
Before the fight. Canelo's going to destroy Golovkin with bodyshots because Ward Kovalev. Now the superstar in he's prime is being lauded for scraping a draw.
Makes no sense. Conor don't need the money. Losing to Paulie can only damage the brand. Beating Paulie means nothing. Back to MMA for Conor. Back to commentating for Paulie.
If you get on a bike and back pedal it doesn't move. :dunce:
Ah Robbie my son have a look in a dictionary for the definition. "To move hastily backwards".. No need for a bike to be present, just a basic education.
You should get it considering all his fanboys were talking about "look at Jacob's face doe" "he swollen doe", golovkin looks like he got hit buy a fuggin truck, and it's "that doesn't win fights doe". And the score? You've got to be kidding me, if it were 115-113 Canelo, there wouldn't be near the same amount of crying. It's the Bradley effect all over.
It seems like you can't be objective yourself because some of the Golovkin fans are abit ridiculous on here. Golovkin seems to be flamed just for having competitive fights with world class fighters. The Jacobs fight was close, but people on here acted like it was Chavez Whitaker. Now Golovkin looked to have done enough to have beaten the "future of boxing" and he's a bum who'll lose a rematch. And he is the age he is. Who didn't look worse at 35? If were talking Hopkins he didn't start until he was late twenties, no amateur fights, and really is an exception. I've never seen a pressure fighter who didn't regress by 35. You might hate Golovkin fanboys, but your hate for the fighter, who's tough, brave and seems humble enough to me is abit out of proportion don't you think?
Good points & I agree.
That is one of my most immediate questions that'll be answered first on Saturday.
Can Canelo handle GGG's power when GGG does land??? I think Canelo will make GGG miss more then anyone's made GGG miss then make him pay more than anyone's made GGG pay, but for sure GGG is gonna land some punches in there to & how will Canelo react to them? I suspect he'll do fine with it or fine enough with it, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have serious doubts about that when I re-watch that fight with Miguel's older brother no matter how long ago that fight was.
Yeah, that's what makes it such a great fight. We're going to learn alot about both guys, but I'd say particularly Canelo. If he has an iron chin he's got a good chance of winning this. I guess we'll just have to see.
What I wonder is how well Canelo takes Golovkins power. I mean, anyone could theoretically hurt anyone but we know Golovkin has handled big punching middleweights of at least Canelo's power level. But Canelo has never taken a shot from anyone even near the power of Golovkin. Alvarez will need to prove he has a good middleweight chin in this one.
Canelo's chin is the decider in this one. We know Golovkin can hold the power Alvarez had. We have no idea if Canelo can do the same. My guess is that he's not going to for long. That jab of Golovkins does damage, and without the size of a Jacobs, or good feet, I can see it ending on the ropes.
