Whatever man... Ya Vargas can get knocked down, that was proven in his prime. He is a powerful fighter and a great competitor though and does not give up.
I had it a draw watching live but scored it likde Harold Ledderman when watching it on HBO. I decided to rewatch with no volume with a couple of friends some Mexican and they all agreed that the fight could have actually been a draw or even gone either way. Lampley was building Morales up heavily during his announcing of the fight. Calling most of Morales' connects and ignoring many of Manny's. Lampley was clearly a Morales fan(can't blame him I am a big fan too). Merchant seemed to be for Manny. Roy was a yes man. Lampley was the voice of the fight. Erik won fairly, but I still say the fight was closer than alot of people want to believe.

Vargas could stand uncovered for 10 rounds and not get knocked out by Joval. My 90 year old grandmother punches harder then Joval. However I dont think Vargas even tried for a knockout. This fight was a statement that he truly is trying to change for his career and his health.

Hopkins has twenty times the experience, and has taken bigger shots....proven his heart in the ring, and even proved he is a bigger puncher. He fucking knocked DLH out with 1 punch to the kidney. Taylor likes to hide behind his jab and throw the right. Why in the hell would Hopkins NOT slip those punches...and take the fight directly to him. Dont you remember Hopkins showing his heart in the Echols fight? He dislocated his fucking shoulder, and continued to fight like a man.
Hopkins could beat Taylor from the outside, or the inside, or not even show up and beat Taylor. This is simply a matter of people jumping on a bandwagon....just like the Eastman fight.
