What was that about after the Vargas fight, they talked about the ringside physician and how she was not in the EM-PAC fight and how business and politics control who they assign and shit, i didnt really get they were saying. They said they will be watching.
Watch The Replay It Was Not A Head Butt Idiots.
Actually no...if you were watching the same fight. As for the gloves and whatnot, Morales could have knocked Manny out though he really only hit Manny with really good shots after Manny got the cut which made him not see the left jab from Morales which let him impose his will more than ever. Aside from before the cut, Manny just let Morales tear into him though it didn't really hurt him either. I just think he didn't bring his power up to 140 plus the gloves that further decreased any chance he would have had as a puncher vs a granite chin. If he comes in at fight night weighing around 132-133 as Barrera did, I'd say he'd have a huge chance because he lost his speed which is his power that made him end up a generic fighter that is just throwing punches and praying to land just to rack up points. While some people saw it as a total schooling, the judges saw it another way having Manny down only by 2 points, and that's to say a lot considering the one eye nearly shut and blooding pouring into it. I respect Manny more than ever for staying in the fight after that nasty cut. :boxing:
so ur goin to watch it again
and alreayd made up ur mind on how ur gonna score it?
I saw it last week on PPV (had pac-man winning 8-4 but admitted to seeing it through rose colored glasses) and saw it this week on HBO and gave it 6-6. I'm ok with the decision though, Pac-Man wasn't aggresive enough when he had Morales hurt and that cost him. I just think anyone that thinks the decision would have been a robbery if Pac-Man got the decision is delusional.
......After watching the fight again I still believe Morales won the fight. However, he was on queer street in that 12th round for sure and almost blew it. Watch his legs and you will see that he slips like 3 or 4 times and is wobbly as hell. I predict he stays away from a Pac rematch and sticks with Barrera.
but will barrera give him a rematch?? i dont think he will. barrera aint got nothing to prove to morales. they fought 3 times and barrera has shown he is the better boxer between them. if they fight again its gonna start turning into a tv series. they should just both move on with their careers without fighting eachother again. they both have fights out there that they can take that does not have to involve them fighting eachother.
Morales had pacquiao hurt more than pacquiao was hurting him. the results are there look at the bruised eye of pacquiao, how much worser would of had been of it was done by a reyes gloves, and the accidental headbutt. pacquiao would of gone down, Morales face was clean, something rare after a fight.
IMO this whole glove thing is B.S first they say pacquiao has all this power and his a monster, now that he wasnt able to KO a guy people say "must of been the gloves" ok so what people are saying that if you wear winning gloves your unable to KO an opponent?
judah-spinks II, both agreed to wear their own gloves, but in the end they decided that both mmust wear Grant another pillow glove, spinks was still knocked out with pillow gloves. its possible, but a lot of people make it seem like if you wear winning gloves your not going to be able to KO your opponent

Watching it a second time I'm gonna agree with Larry. 6-6
been here for a while but this is my first time posting. i agree w/ jack. i thought morales out scored pacman too. i thought larry merchant was just picking favorites and sees the fight 6-6 or 5-6 for pacman after 11 or something. i saw it again last night and IMHO that fight could have gone either way.

In the pre-fight discussion before the Vargas fight, HBO analyst Emmanuel Steward showed the two boxing gloves in question. The Winner/Winning gloves clearly was a pillow compared to the Reyes gloves. I thought I was being biased but I tried to check other boards and they basically see the same big difference that in my opinion could have altered the outcome of the fight.
However Steward, living up to his reputation of downplaying Manny, pointed out that Morales could have knocked out Pacquiao if the Reyes gloves were used. That's the problem if you have analysts who have personal interests.
Anyway, the good news is, HBO is clearly interested in staging a rematch. The cable giant would not go out of its way just to sow intrigue if they are not into something. Maybe its Barrera/Pacman or another Morales/Pacman this year. Pacman is definitely not out of the limelight

I dont think he was trying to make excuses about the headbut. I think he was referring to time it took for the ringside doctor to evaluate the cut. Remember the commentators remarking how long the process was taking. that usually the woman(sorry forgot her name) wouldn't have taken as long and she wouldnt have entered the ring at all, just called Pac to the corner and observed from there.
or was he saying something else? maybe i'm wrong.

merchant hates morales and is seeking excuses for pac. example1: the gloves example2: the headbutt
throw the excuses out and morales won the fight, ask any pac fan.
