Kabayel would be unwise to choose a Dubois fight too quickly. There's a good chance Usyk vacates after Rico match, and so Kabayel gets elevated. That puts an extra 0 on the end of his next fight purse. Once he has that WBC belt, the Dubois fight would become a champ vs champ contest, so it's a much bigger event.
Frank confirms "rematch clause" ... no point, unless Fabio wants a final payday. But next time the result will be the same, except Dubois now knows exactly how to dismantle Fabio so it will be over quicker. We don't need to see another beatdown like that.
Get the feeling this might be the bridge too far for Fabio. I know people have been saying that every previous fight, but this time it really feels like it could be true. Has Fabio ever faced this kind of power? He could get a rude awakening...
Is a robbery coming?
I like Clarke as a guy, much more likeable than TKV. But that seems like an obvious TKV victory. Let's hope the scorecards were not written beforehand by Ben Shalom.
This is fun. But I'm surprised just how well TKV is doing. It would be awful if the point deduction decides the result. Clarke is no stranger to dishing out low blows and he's lucky the ref hasn't called his out.
Clarke is the home fighter and he doesn't seem to be winning. I hope the judges play fair if this goes to the cards.
Eggy Benn turns up after beating up ANOTHER old man and starts acting like he's ready to fight world champions. Can you imaging what Norman Jr. would do to this pathetic ped cheat? He'd get his brains scrambled in three rounds.
I get the nagging feeling that Eubank's age may start to show here. Even if he wins, it's not going to be a convincing one. And if he loses, which is more than possible, that sets up a money-spinning trilogy that would not favour Jr.
Let's just hope we get both guys at the top of their game and in the right frame of mind.
Frank Warren on BT Sport talking about Sheeraz being unable to throw power shots because of a broken hand. But also saying Hamza is too tight at the weight and needs to move up. Then says there might be an Adames rematch.
This might have been the only opportunity for Hamza to become world champ. Things are going to much tougher in SMW. Can he really do much when he's no longer got that same size advantage?
The greatest joy in boxing is seeing a massive underdog dethrone the coc.ky, mouthy champion. It's happened before, not just in cinema, and as a fan I'd love to see it again and again.
Seeing Teo humiliated by Kambo was the last time I can remember, and that was joyous.
Turki has been shoving brown envelopes stuffed with petrodollars to the judges to make sure his golden boy remains undefeated. But everyone knows Sheeraz lost that fight. At least they didn't totally rob Adames, who gets to keep his belt.
Is Adames ahead on the scorecards?
Even if he deserves to be, there's little chance the judges, who have been lavishly flown over and shown 5-star hospitality, are going to score against Turki's Mus.lim brother, and riyadh season ambassador, Hamza,
But Kambo is JUST as loud and ****y. Only with and accent. That guy is super full of himself
He definitely went into overdrive once he got the belts, and became totally insufferable. But before he fought Teo he was an "I believe I can beat anyone because I worked hard in the gym" kind of guy. Then he started calling himself "The Emperor" and spent all his time sniffing his own farts.
How is this a 10-rounder when it's for a (minor) belt? At the outset, they introduced Okolie as a "Champion" so what shenanigans did Frank pull to get this down to a non-Championship length? Were they expecting Okolie to gas if it went too long, so insisted on 10?
Okolie has those Deontay Wilder chicken legs. A lot more skilled than Wilder, of course. But also quite a dirty fighter at times. It's hard to forget how much of a cheat he was when facing CBS, so I can't bring myself to cheer for him.
