Unified garbage divisions against a bunch of nobodies. He makes it look easy because he fought nothing but bums. Canelo would also be undefeated if he faced the low quality opponents that Crawford faced.
And Porter? Lol career gatekeeper? He lost all his big fights, and was about to retire, how is that a good win?
who's your top 5?
Same. This is mine too. Bam Rodriguez's name is being floated around right now, but I think it's too soon. I look at overall career, and I have my own criteria, such as "who do I want to see fight." I look at skilled performances, and who do we want to see fight? This list is really good, however, I personally would change it. And aside from Usyk, this list is not ranked:
Usyk (number one for me)
Golovkin
Inoue
Lomachenko
Spence
That's my list, if I had to make a top five today.
so this is your personal , "Top 5 fighters I want to see fight" list ,
not necessarily p4p
facts
I've always said if Wilder lands that same right on Usyk that dropped Fury ,, Usyk may not get up after that
and if he does , he won't recover the same way Fury did either ... Fury is alot of mass and body fat to absorbs those right hands that Usyk doesn't have
"He has to be perfect for 12 rounds , I only need 2 seconds."
Haney is in driving seat, but I can see him losing to all three guys.
you're in for a rude awakening
hopefully these guys can find their cajones and challenge greatness the way Haney did
another alt more like it
I'm new here
Please tell me what makes Loma so great compared to his peers that tough it out through injuries , and even put on career defining performances?
And Ali's neurological problems were no excuse either I guess. I mean, lots of fighters have been hit in the head too many times, so what?
Seriously stupid thread.
Ali still achieved greatness so I'm not sure what point you're getting at
was Loma's shoulder injury due to him getting hit in the head too many times?
Every fighter has injuries. Andre Ward fought most of his career in need of surgery on his right shoulder.
exactly
Floyd had brittle hands .. no excuses he just redeveloped his fight strategy
Tank , Haney, Wilder , Tommy Hearns , Arturo Gatti broke their hands in fights and still won the fights
Boxers have had their ribs broken and fight it out
Hopkins broke his shoulder after he got body slammed . He got up and beat the shit out that guy
these are examples of greatness of boxers who persevere beyond their injuries
Bam vs Inoue
Bam vs Chocolitito
Bam vs Estrada
Bam vs Rey Martinez
Bam vs Nakatani
..... how yall see these fights going
one could say these are all future Bam fights
We know your boy Floyd said he was nothing special and would be easy work then excused himself by saying he was too small when GGG said he would come down to 154 only for him.
how come GGG never chased greatness and move up to 168?
why is everything somehow floyd and canelo fault when it comes to GGG lackluster career
Anderson Silva is the best fight Jake can take , but he won't because his hype train will get derailed
fantasy Showtime PPV fight: Jake Paul vs Deontay Wilder
imagine what that'll sell
Its very similiar pattern to Pac-mayweather.
Post fight in the ring Pac never said anythign about the shoulder. He just claimed he was robbed and won the fight outright. Then after he had time to talk to his team, promoter ect privately, they revealed their new excuse at the press conference, muh shoulder was bad. It was never mentioned in the corner, never picked up on by anyone during the fight, Nothing about the shoulder ever came up in the ring that night.
I noticed that too
Convenient they are both Top Rank fighters aswell with the same excuses .... hmmmmmm
he'll still be the D-Class man slayer
but if he beats Canelo I'll give him his just dues ..
maybe top 10 MW .. I have him as a Top 15 currently but I'll sway my opinion if he happens to do what we deem as the impossible
Inoue and Estrada would be his toughest fights I believe. But boy is Jr bantam/bantam shaping up to produce some all time great fights.
why do you think Estrada will be tougher? most people are picking Choco to be tougher over Estrada
Floyd fought ODLH, Cotto, and Canelo at 154. Floyd started at 130. He moved up 24 pounds from where he won his first world title. Why did GGG never try to move up 1 division? or 2? or 3? or 4 divisions like Floyd did?
Also funny you mention GGG being able to go down to 154 for Floyd/Pac, but couldn't meet Canelo or Cotto at a catchweight?
GGG fans are exposing their hero and they don't even realize it
Hmmm, another dummy. This is like saying a great race car driver should be able to win even with a broken water pump. Just when I thought stupid couldn’t get any more pathetic. If I ever write anything this stupid someone please put me out of my misery. You’d be doing me and the human race a favor.
so you can't debate the topic at hand?
just go on a "what defines stupid" rant?
GGG said it well. Not one punch from Alvarez had any impact that put Him back on the ropes or caused him to stagger. Against Bivol, Alvarez hardly landed a scoring punch. Against GGG and a Bivol it was Alvarez who was on the ropes. As Alvarez has gone up in weight to 168 and 175, he has been slower. He literally has no footwork and relies on trying to slug as hard as possible. In his last fights, he has been outboxed in many of the rounds. The use of PEDs (Alvarez has tested positive twice and suspended) shows he doesn’t rely on his own talent and own power. He used a crutch. When tested and not using PEDs, his power looked average. What is concerning is the scoring of Alvarez fights. A draw by one judge against Mayweather was so horrendous the judge retired. The judge during the first GGG match was so awful, she was suspended.
Caenlo can say the same considering GGG was the one touted as this amazing knockout puncher
GGG punches didn't phase Canelo anymore than Canelo's phased him ,, both have amazing chins
Canelo won the 2nd fight fair and square but we must keep in mind canelo has haters who will always see him lose no matter what.
They say Floyd "shut" canelo out 12-0 when that wasn't the case canelo won runs but whatever.
Bivol "shut" canelo out 12-0 too lol when that was also clearly not the case. 116-112 to 115-113 is fine. But canelo haters have no shame they make up what they want to believe its the only way they can get through the day.
Gggs own trainer had him losing the rematch that's all you have to know. Period.
Canelo won the 2nd fight yeah ,
but Canelo vs Bivol ws 115-113 ???
he's right , he never needed the 3rd fight;
he's had a career full of cans and his fans and media call him a Top 5 Middleweight
he took the 3rd fight , because like the other two , his whole career is based on Canelo paydays
GGG's just following the script he's been given since birth; duck everybody unless its Canelo paydays
I like the kid but this was just Undisputed by luck. The real undisputed is when you clean out the division like Usyk and few others have done. The Canelo and Haney's undisputed are examples of playing the system.
be mad at "the system" for creating a fake ass franchise belt in the first place
No I said you clearly can’t know what it means. I never asked you to tell me you doughnut. You are a terrible attempt at trolling.
Matchroom Fc are greater than Swifties. Go find out what both fan bases are like then the penny might drop for you
1. i'm not trolling
2. you seem to be taking this hella personally hence all the name calling
I never watched the first fight , but Ima assume Josh Taylor had an off night
it happens ...
expecting Taylor to redeem himself and win a decisive W
silence all the talk about avoiding Catterall
So unnecessary and sad actually.
One thinks of the great boxer Michael Nunn, who endured many years in prison, which was an unbelievably extreme sentence I thought.
Thankfully he's out now and hopefully has a rejuvenated life.
what was Michael Nunn in for ?
No I don’t. You have misunderstood. Im saying that the fan club that comes with Matchroom are like Taylor swift fans.
next time to avoid looking silly, maybe learn what > means.
> means greater than silly goose
