Wow. When I seen the thread title I assumed it was the old story of Eubank giving Chris Jr and his younger brother up for adoption to some stranger who lived in Vegas.
Really no excuse for Eubank here. The guy was a multi-millionaire, he could've atleast helped this kid out, then again maybe he did? Hard to believe the mother wouldn't have went after child support when he was making bank.
Pro debut at 27 though? Unless he's been in the amateurs for the last decade, he'll be about as successful as Floyd's brother.
I dont think he helped them out, he paid an out of court settlement when she first gave birth to cover child maintenance costs and thats it as far as we know.
Eubank is far from a good father, or at least thats how it would seem. Abandons one son adopts two others to some american he barely knew. Now hes trying to steal the limelighy from the same son he packed off to america lol
As for turning pro at 27, my guess is hes just in it to make a bit of cash on the eubanks estranged son factor lol
Yea gggs guna come down in weight to fight brook, but not so for canelo at cw. I highly doubt his managerial team would be stupid enough to completly contradict the exact reason the canelo fight is guna be hard to make. Keep mentioning the big names for publicity and then not letting your fighters face them.
Eddie hearn knows how to make money for and off his fighters but most of time it has a detrimental effect on boxing
How many fighters has klitchcko beat that can match the size and strengh of joshua ? Very few ...also joshua is a quick combination puncher who will not just throw one punch at a time ...he will unload big punches on him and there's good chance klitchcko will then become very wary....your see...joshuas a much quicker puncher than Wladimir ....100 %
He might have strength and power but he needs A LOT of work. You cant discredit his performances hes doing well, but he is nowhere near the finished article, strength, size and throwing combinations, alone, will not beat wlad. He needs better opposition, and he needs to show us some development in his game, especially his movement.
Dick head says who ? .... I doubt very much a 41 year old heavyweight who is in the twilight of his career can dictate and overcome a fighter who is physically bigger than him and stronger than him...only naive idiot would even pick a boxer who is simply fading.....no heavyweight boxer in history has kept his physical prime beyond 38.....klitchcko will have nightmares facing a boxer who he can't physically lean on and contsntly grab and hold down.....now sh1tbag when and if this fight takes place next year me and you are gonna have a serious wager on this
Stfu your bumboy joshua will go nowhere near klit, he will roll over bums for as long as he can. You are beyond belief, you just listen to the hype instead of watching and learning where fighters need to develop and making up your own opinion,. You r one dumb f***. Not even worth arguing with. Your basically sayimg a young strong fighter beats an older past his prime fighter because of youth and strength take your tongue out of joshuas a******e for one minute and think about it. Why is it so inconceivable that vlad could control the fight vs joshua?? Whos joshua fought?? What has he shown besides power?? What happens when he gets hit back?? These are all unknowns yet you choose to back an unproven fighter to beat one of the most dominant hw champs in recent history, past his best or not, i think i know who the naive idiot is here....
Klit beats joshua atm, joshua would need to work on a lot on his movement, jab and ring iq. Its ok having the power but against klitschko i think joshua would struggle to get his shots off. A typical wladimir, jab, jab, smother, occasional right hand would beat joshua right now
You can't smother someone when there physically bigger than you....ok to short and smaller fighter but not to joshua .....youth and strength would beat klitchcko now...father time is upon klitchcko I reckon
They have the same or very similar height and reach. Klit has done it to opponents his size before so why not joshua?? Ysah joshuas a strong kid but that aint gunaa beat klit alone, he needs to be more ring savvy. I guarantee klit would be able to smother joshuas work because joshuas movement isnt good enough yet.
Don't make it sound like klitchcko has footwork like sugar ray Leonard ..he's also quite static and robotic.....as I said klitchcko is now almost 41 and that's a age when your prime is way past you and only an idiot like you would think klitchcko is still at his best...Christ lost almost every round to fury...klitchcko is done now
Did i say wlad had good footwork?? No i didnt, i said joshua would need good footwork to beat him. Nor did i ever suggest wlad was at his best, obiously not, dont be such a presumptious fool. Only an idiot like you could try and argue that wlad would not be able to control the fight against joshua
Im not sure what to make if all this, we have no confirmation that fury tested positive and according to the mirror this march 2015, i mean why has this only just surfaced??
This is called, the UK bias.
Well i think he means furys movement is similar, and i agree woth him, but obviously slower. But i dont see any uk bias, fury is good on his feet, on his toes, unpredictable much like ali, but obviously ali a lot slicker due to 40lb weight differance
Who else in the heavyweight division has any similarities to alis movement?? No1 so nowt to do with uk bias
Most ridiculous crap iv ever heard, fighting is not boxing. Boxing is not based on genetics, nor is fighting, though it seems athletes with african genetics do have an edge in a lot of sports theres a lot more to it than that.
Britain invented prize fighting so its a ridiculous statement.
For our populaation we are by far have the best ratio of top level boxers compard to any other nation.
He said he moves like him. LIKE being the main word, a 6'9 260lb man is obviously not guna be as slick as ali, anyone that slates lewis and takes him word for word are being daft
Wow!! Whats gggs excuse. The fact that canelo has vacated so if the fight isnt made canelo looks like hes bottled it. So ggg doesnt need an excuse. Canelo or more oscar is getting backed into a corner. Canelos has already been masively slated for vacating and thats before we have any info on how negotiations r going or have gone
I think Eubank could end up fighting GGG next potentially. As long as Eubank & Eubank Sr aren't bsing & K2 doesn't get a better option + would entertain Eubank as their next challenger even through he still feels like a prospect more than a contender. Don't hate the fight either. I think GGG is obviously entertaining, I think Eubank is entertaining. I think it'd be fun. I don't think Eubank walks away with a W here & I could understand the argument its "too soon" as fighters much more seasoned then Eubank are claiming, but I'm a fan of this happening in September.
I would like to see this fight, i think ggg wins but it would be nice to see a fighter not afraid to get in close.
My problem is even though hearn is insisting eubank wants ggg, surely hed have taken the jacobs fight to put himself in better position to set it up. Too many fighters using gggs name to gain attention with no intention of fighting him
Im trying to sum up what eubanks plan is. I cant see a saunders rematch likely. Possibly could get jacobs then ggg??
You might want to read up on the recent boxing news. He already has an opponent.
Thanks for that i thought he wouldnt have a massive fight next which is why i mentioned at the end of the post his next two fights. I had checked recent news on eubank jnr but it was all about him offering blackwell the lonsdale belt. Never thouht to check boxrec. I have edited the post now. Thanks again, what a tit i am
I wish people would stop with the Eubank fighting GGG next, Eubank isn't fighting GGG anytime soon. That fight would be talked about but would never happen until GGG turns 37ish, I saw this with Hatton when he talked about fighting Tsyzu back in 2001 when Tsyzu was facing Judah. Hearn would never put Eubank in there with GGG until they feel he has a chance at dethroning him.
The way I see it, Eubank wants to make a steady progress up the ranking like Tyson fury did then by the time he gets more fights under his belt he would go after whoever is at top at that time.
This is my point exactly, hence why its hard to see why eubanks made the career moves he has. What is his plan? Doesnt seem to add up
Hmmm yea I didn't think about the Hearn angle. Not sure how I feel about that. Hearn could wanna hold back on that. Although Hearn has shown more ability then most promoters in matching his guys up tough. Maybe GGG is too tough doe. Also its notable that the Eubank's aren't the typical fighter/manager. They already left Hearn in the dust recently & I got no doubt they'd do it again if Hearn goes against their wishes or falls short in anyway so I think I'd learn towards Hearn having little to no impact on a GGG fight happening or not happening.
Exactly why i am struggling to see eubanks plan. Because i cant see the advantage of going back to hearn.
I disagree with Hearn setting up tough matches for his fighters, if its for a world title and its the best hand on the table he will take the risk. But after that he uses them as a cash cow. Look at brook, obviously he got stabbed but to me its a good excuse, think brook would have fought same opponents anyway. Then look at quigg didnt really have an easy draw however you look at it, so eddie took a risky but big money domestic fight. Joshua will fight easy opposition ubtil he has to fight better At least frank warren let his fighters fight tough fights and the fights they wanted, which is why hes second best now.
Only reason i can think they gone with eddie is because they can pull a bigger audience and more money off sky to sell themselves as a more lucrative opponent
Eddie Hearn is the pathway to PPV in Britain (which is where the "no need to ever travel anywhere" money is made).
Sky Sports is the seeming Big Kahuna of British Boxing, and Hearn has more connections at world level than seeming every other outfit.
If Eubank can show out as the third fight on Joshua's PPV, and then show out again as third fight/chief support for the coming Brook-Vargas PPV, after showing out on the December Joshua PPV against Spike O'Sullivan, you start to build the case for Eubank being his own headliner at world level.
Not too different than the approach taken with Canelo, tbh.
100% correct. If you read one of my posts on the bottom of the first page my only explanation was the one you have just provided, but i cant see the advantage at donestic level. Eubank can pick and choose neway and pull a much bigger audience on freeview tv and be main event
2/3 title defenses gets you the Lonsdale belt for keeps (inconsistent info, at the moment), so I'd figure that Eubanks does that before committing to world level
I fully understand that, but why fight at world level then go back for the lonsdale. And why go with eddie if your only fighting domestic, no scenario seems to make sense!! If that was the plan hed of been better off sticking with channel 5 then getting a better deal out of hearn. Hearn provides no advantage to euabank getting domestic fights, he eill only take a bigger cut. Pretty sure your right it is 3 defenses
Hard to call at 160 until we see him fight an opponent whos a true 160lber. If he keeps fighting at 155 or 154 when he does finally step up he will feel the differance in their ability to give a punch and take a punch.
I think he beats saunders though. If eubank could get into range without much difficulty then so would canelo.
Ggg beats him by a mid to late stoppage.
Jacobs is 50/50, though i think the extra power canelo would bring could prove too much
I feel pretty bad for him, man
He wasn't a bum by any means. He actually had a pretty good skill set. It was unfortunate that Bailey landed that hail Mary. He got a little too loose and unfocused after outboxing him for 11 rounds. That was hard to recover from
100% correct there pal, inexperience lost him both the fight and his career, after that his confidence was shot, even though he and his team knew that bailey would only win by landing a bomb, he lost concentration through inexperience. Next fight alexander dances around the ring, bailey never gets in a position to set himself for his trademark shot and gets made to look poor. Jones just forgot for a split second , thought hed won or whatever and boom not just fight over but career over
What happened was, he got put in against a randall bailey who had been paid step aside money by jan zaveck 3 fights on the trot for the ibf. Bailey had waited too long and even though mike had outboxed him bailey carried a big punch and lack of experience cost jones the fight. I remember it well because bailey was a ridiculous 7/1 to win by ko and so i made a healthy profit. Jones team let him down, he could easily have rebuilt but his confidence was shot after that
this post had me in stitches. Nigel with his pint of guiness sniffing around for coke
Boxing is a hard game, man
Tell me about it, it seems hard for retired boxers, most have to resort to a life of prostitutes and power tackle. Its a hard knocked life
Until he fight a decent fighter theres nothing to suggest he is really that good, once we see him against some decent opposition then we will see.
But look at furys resume before wlad. He had nothing to suggest he would come close to beating wlad and look what happened.
Personally i think joshua can go far but he needs to stop gaining lean muscle, do more stretching and concentrate on his footwork. He has power and speed but can look very robotic
Wlad pulled a fast one on all of boxing by dumping the Fury fight and collecting big on side bets off a Fury win and stunning Wlad loss. Just watching Wlad not punching and looking lousy was an indication the fight waS BEING THROWN. Fury has no boxing skills and is a clumsy soft oaf.
Yes wlad seems like the type of guy to throw a fight vs someone like fury to make some cash pfft. If you r serious you dont understand boxing, his low punch output was obviously due to team furys tactics
