Shouldn't that tell you who was really ducking? Meanwhile the other champion took on lesser challenges and still got knocked out. I never got wrapped up in the Joshua and Wilder stuff because I'm a Fury fan and don't really like Joshua or Wilder. It is strange though that people would criticize the side taking the tougher fights.

Bigger challenges? Pretty much every expert considers Fury a bigger challenge than Joshua. So if Wilder is taking less money to face a tougher opponent, that should indicate he wasn't the one ducking the easier fight where he'd make more money. So perhaps the other side didn't want the fight or didn't want the fight on reasonable terms.

So 1 bigger challenge? Have i got you to admit its bigger challenge and not bigger challenges? Joshua had Andy Ruiz and Kubrat Pulev lined up as his next two opponents. Wilder had Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury lined up as his next two opponents. So it just doesn't make sense to me that the guy you insist is the one ducking would be the sake guy taking the bigger challenges. None of us are in the room. Promoters lie. We'll never know for sure who to blame. Common sense would suggest though that the side going the tougher route was probably more willing to take the fight. Why fight a bigger challenge in Fury, for less money, unless Joshua didn't really want the fight or didn't want it on reasonable terms? What is your logic for saying Wilder is ducking if he chose a tougher opponent?

Don't even know why people who can't live without watching boxing are struggling with this when one PPV event costs $80 - $100. I don't order PPV very often. Maybe once or twice a year. I only order PPV when it's a fight big enough that I have friends hitting me up asking if I'm ordering it. Everyone chips in $20, which is what a fight on DAZN costs. So I probably spend the same amount each year on DAZN and PPV. There's probably two fights a year on DAZN I really want to see and even though my friends aren't interested, I don't mind paying $20 to watch alone.

Typically when you hold back sections, you hold back the sections least likely to be seen on television. Yet you're suggesting that ringside sections, the ones most likely to be seen on TV, haven't been sold. It's an interesting theory, but seems unlikely.

I don't know who offered what, but Farmer seems like a nice guy and it's a shame he couldn't cash his belt out in a bigger way. A rough night for Dibella as well. I'll never understand why people with so little information are so absolute with their conclusions. Whether it was Canelo and GGG, Joshua and Wilder or Charlo and Andrade, we as fans have so little real information of what goes into making a fight, that it seems senseless to get so fired up when we get the unverified story from one side.

We have no way of knowing if the offers came with onerous restrictions or clauses. If Canelo prefers to fight at super middleweight now, I hope he will face one of the other champions. As long as he and Charlo are in different weight classes, I'm not going to lose any sleep if they don't fight.

I consider Manny and Floyd the two best pound for pound fighters of all time. Floyd won their fight and I believe he deserves to be #1, but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that Manny is still one of the very best there ever was. #2 on my all time list for sure.

The 3 million is paid upfront which is why it gets reported to the commission. That’s for tax purposes. Now the 20 million guaranteed could be paid out over a number of years. I remember Floyd bragging during the Cotto build up that he was still getting checks from the De La Hoya fight. And that’s what 5 years after the fact. How as fans can we know if any of that is true? Fans arguing over which fighters make the most is like trying to argue over which college football players are being paid the most. Just an incredible list of opponents without a loss, draw or no contest.

One night doesnt make either better than the other. What they have done in their career does. Wins and losses have to mean something. 62-7-2 means on nine occasions, Manny didn't get the job done. Floyd got the job done 100% of the time. I'd find it very hard to justify rating Manny above Floyd on my all time pound for pound list.

Manny has won 87% of his fights, Floyd has won 100%. I definitely consider a 50-0 record more impressive than 62-7-2. Manny won recognized world titles in six divisions, not eight. I consider Muhammad Ali the #1 heavyweight of all time, but I base that one how he fared against his era compared to how others fared against their era. Humans evolve, nutrition evolves, science evolves, supplements evolve, drugs evolve, training evolves, recovery evolves. Not fair to compare the best from 1964 with the best from 2020. I think Fury, Joshua and Wilder would all beat Ali, but I still rate Ali #1 because he accomplished more in his day than anybody has accomplished in their day.

Seems like during Khan's prime, Mayweather was fighting a lot of big names. If you only fight once or twice a year, or frequently retire, you're not going to be able to fight everybody. When Khan moved to welterweight, wasn't Mayweather busy fighting Maidana? Was there anybody at the time that viewed Khan as a bigger threat than Maidana? Maidana was a world champion, Khan was a silver champion. I'm not going to fault Mayweather for fighting Maidana instead of Khan.

Golden Boy was the promoter that took him to a word title. Not PBC. Is that clearer? PBC isn't a promoter, so of course they're not the promoter that took him to a world title. But your thread asks what stars PBC has created. PBC has only existed 5 years. It takes longer than five years to create a star. So of course the stars they've created fought for Golden Boy previously. But the list of fighters I posted became stars with PBC, not Golden Boy.

None of the stars PBC created were built from scratch, without Golden Boy involvement and contribution. Outside of Errol Spence and Gervonta Davis. Spence fought on Golden Boy cards just like everybody else before PBC was created. I don't understand the point of your thread. That PBC can't create stars without Golden Boy? Five years ago, most of the guys I listed were completely unknown. They're major headliners now because of PBC's TV exposure. Would have made no difference if their early fights were off TV fights on a Golden Boy card or off TV fights on a Gary Shaw card. In 5 years, will you credit Tom Brown for all of PBC's stars?

The thread title seems misleading. Just because Derevyanchenko is now rated #1 doesn't mean he's mandatory. It also doesn't mean the mandatory is due or has been ordered. We'll just have to wait and see.

Deontay Wilder, Errol Spence, Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Jermall Charlo, Jermell Charlo, Gervonta Davis, Gary Russell Jr, Caleb Plant, David Benavidez, Jarrett Hurd, Julian Williams, Leo Santa Cruz and others became stars in large part because of PBC.
