I was thinking of going to the Wilder vs Fury 2 fight at the MGM but the cheapest ticket on stub hub was $466 without taxes and fees. Would've been a fun event but I won't pay that much. Would anyone here pay that much?
Yes, I see that. So which of those sections are you saying hasn't been put on sale?
Typically when you hold back sections, you hold back the sections least likely to be seen on television. Yet you're suggesting that ringside sections, the ones most likely to be seen on TV, haven't been sold. It's an interesting theory, but seems unlikely.
I just think they are trying to sell the rest of the arena first. Ticketing companies are notorious for this sort of thing.
That is of course if these tickets are not on sale to the general public.
Equally as counterfeit as floyd.
Uh, no.
Floyd earned his spot atop the sport by drawing lots of PPV buys.
Wilder and Fury are charging Floyd prices without bringing his same viewership numbers.
They should lower the price of their PPV and of the tickets to see them too.
But once promoters push things to a certain price level they never lower it again. Greedy fucks.
Monzon, the quote in your signature seems to fit Fury perfectly.
"A Champion is someone who gets up when he can't."
If Jack Dempsey was alive today, he would be sitting front row at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on February 22. It's time for all boxing fans to put their prejudices aside and enjoy this glorious championship fight. For on this night, a new Lineal King will be crowned and immortalized in the books of boxing history.
Go check out the arena plan and see for yourself. There's no floor tickets available.

I don't think Al Haymon and Bob Arum have done a good job of promoting this fight. It was announced quite late, they didn't build up a story, and both promoters are lazy and arrogant in thinking they don't need to promote this.
Both sides should have had a constant presence on youtube and other social media...if not the fighters then the promoters. They should have built up the story like since 5-6 months to get people to digest and believe this is the biggest event to be made. Given that Al Haymon is almost invisible and Bob Arum doesn't talk a lot of sense is NOT helping this fight. In fact, the little promotion done is by the fighters themselves.
If you want Mayweather money...you'll have to sweat for that, not sit on your lazy a$$e$ thinking it will "sell itself". Sure, it will but not at the level it should have. Announcing it late was a blunder in my opinion.
Agreed, heard they paid almost 6m dollars for the half - time super bowl advert, which is seen by 100m people. Would that help? Who knows, but wouldn't the price put people off?
There's no tickets available for ringside.
No doubt this is where you say that they're all sold outright.
So which ringside section are you saying hasn't been sold?
It's a good fight, should do decent numbers. Although I'm sure the prices will scare people from going or watching legally.
Ofcourse this isn't going to get anywhere near the numbers an Anthony Joshua fight would produce. Hate it but that's just the way it is. Somebody has to be the cash cow super star.

... money is cheap in the Arabian peninsula... but not in the U.S.
Well that was kind of the point I was making. If you deduct the middle eastern premium, $466 seems about right for the biggest fight of the year. Of course we don't know which seats it's referring to, if it's in the gods then that seems a little ridiculous. However I was working on the idea that the cheapest had sold out (like they usually do) and this was a middle tier kind of ticket.
I mean it's meant to be the biggest fight of the year, it's going to be pricey! The tickets for AJ vs Ruiz 2 were mostly $500-800+. The corner sections were $250 I think? The rest went from $500-14k for ringside vvip. I paid $2k for my ticket (vip2) and it was the first row in the stadium itself (so the first row after floor seating ended). If it's worth it to them, I guess people will pay it. If it's not, they slash the prices, by which point it's usually too late - then comp the rest.
I really hope the fight does well, it's being flooded on youtube just now!

It's definitely not 80% sold out. They haven't released all ticket sections yet and there's a lot still available.
What sections haven't been released yet?
Tickets from venue are over 80% sold out. You guys are looking at resale tickets.
Gate is going to be huge

A lot, but it's worth it. The best boxer of all time Tyson Fury vs the hardest puncher of all time Deontay Wilder.
Or, on the other hand...
One of the least technically competent heavyweight champions ever against one of the softest punching heavyweight Champions ever.
Gotta give props to FOX, they're promote this fight masterfully so if it still flops that is on the fans. Just don't expect Platforms to come together and make more fights if this one doesn't do well :dunno:
Sadly when it comes to big fights, yeah the average Hardcore Boxing Fans gets priced out every time unfortunately for us. You Anti Social F#ckers need some Friends so you can throw fight Parties so you can afford PPV's or whatever :lol1: this one actually has the attention of Casuals so people will be looking for somewhere to watch the fight
Anti-social folks can pay $20 at the cinema.
