Haye v. Adamek is the best most entertaining fight that can be made in the HW division. Until there is a contender long enough and fast enough to neutralize that Klitschko jab any fight they are in = Boring.
Tua v. Rahman III is a good next fight. If Tua can punch out Rahman faster than Vlad Klit, he'll get his title shot. But Rahman was winning their first fight when it was stopped, and he deserved the nod in their 2nd when they drew.
What a waste of time. Who wants to watch that, let alone pay to see it. How much of a financial hit do all parties involved take on this crap? The fighter most certainly loses the most.
Miranda will have much better defense under Joe Goosen so his chin won't be as likely to get checked. He'll win impressively and clean out the rest of 168 not involved in the Super Six and be waiting for the winner, most likely Ward or Abraham, either on a desireable rematch for him.
Keep going South
He always looked pudgy @ 168. Not at all in shape. He's lucky something worse didn't happen. He needs to motivate on down to 154 where he at least has a chance at a title shot and maybe even winning one of the many belts that exist, but he ain't got the tools to beat Pavlik, Sturm, Williams, Martinez, or really any of the top 10 @ 160.
It's because he got a DUI. :nonono:
And because he's from a country controlled by a communist dictator that ain't friendly towards the U.S. and he has a picture of said tyrant tatooed on his chest.
What a joke!
Alvarez is ranked #176 (not a typo) by boxrec.com at Light Heavyweight. So a fight between him and WBO #3 = the WBO Cruiserweight champion. Only in sanctioning racket madness does this make sense.
Barrett is going to knock Tua out.
One more round and you would have been right on. Should have never gotten rid of 15 round fights. Tua's only option now will be v. Rahman III, if he doesn't retire with Barrett.
There must be a lot of money to be gained by being a Phillipino politician to turn away from what he can make in boxing. Just how crooked is that country.
so Tua is not in the top 15 of the IBF, WBA and WBC....... and he's no. 2 in the WBO rankings ????????????
that is fishy to say the least
All the so called "sanctioning" rackets crooked extortion rings that only hurt the sport and the fighters.
It will all work out
If DeLaHoya wins big, Mayweather will come out of retirement for the rematch at 147. We'll still get Manny v. Ricky at 140, a much better fight to watch.
Too big my arse!
Manny has been fighting below what he has to to be competitive for a while now. Reminiscent of B-Hop at 160 for so long and moving to 175. There won't be any drop off. We'll be surprised at the weigh-in.
So round 12 should have been a 10-7 round for Barrett on all score cards with the knockdown and deduction. Tuaman cost himself the fight in the last round. Way to go stupid!
There is only one
There's already a singular champion in your weight class. It's Ricky Hatton. Pay Attention. No one recognizes those sanctioning racket trinkets anymore. But if collecting a bunch of them gets you a shot at the champ, Good Luck & Congratulations.
Shocking Results from Pharmaceutical Engineering
If Clottey gets on that same juice Pacman is on he won't fade late like he always does and can definitely win. If he'd been using it in the Cotto & Margarito fights, he'd have won those too.
In Mexico fight Mexicans for more $$$
And another thing...if Valero is going to fight in Mexico again doesn't it make MUCH more financial sense to pursue a Mexican Superstar. Valero has earned a shot at the 135 title and Marquez needs to defend it and give him his shot.
Prediction?
Whoa! Didn't B-Hop predict this a few days ago? Would rather see Mayweather v Mosley first anyway... & a Pacman v Marquez trilogy for the 135 & 140 titles simultaneously. Paper titles don't mean shit Manny! Lineal titles do. History will bear that out when the sanctioning rackets crumble.
