I told you Oscar will do Alvarez vs Floyd what a shame.
Yeah buddy! At least Bradley is a legit contender capable, if even slightly, of beating Pacquaio. How you gonna spin Canelo vs Mayweather?
Probably the weakest division in boxing outside of HW and Cruiserweight. Watching his Solis highlights though makes a matchup with Broner mouth watering!
Agree about Pavlik having the worst tats for a boxer, but if you want to know which FIGHTER has the worst tattoo, look no further than Brock Lesnar's giant c*ck tattoo in the middle of his chest!
No double standards... Haven't you been paying attention the last week? Aren't like 90% of posters on here, after this last fight, now saying Mayweather will destroy Pacquiao? ... You mad?
Sillakh should be in the discussion, and I still believe Lemieux can do major things. Gamboa is about to be 30 and may not have enough time to get enough big fights at his weight. I think the safest bet is Khan, young and above average in everything. I think he's already close to top 5 p4p, in a couple of years he should be there.
LOL if Bradley ever becomes #1 p4p, that day we'll know the sport of boxing has died.
I like Russel Jr., dude is a beast and would beat the crap out of Bro-verrated-ner.
Russell Jr's hand speed is really something special, but I can't help to think how he would handle adversity against someone with decent hand speed, a chin, and tenacity. I'd love to see him match up with Garcia in the next year or so, the winner of that could definitely be the next P4P king!
Ortiz is a big 147 while Brandon is 135 (Might be moiving up) so they cant have a boxing match at the moment. So if these two got in a street fight who do you think wins?
I think Ortiz.
Well, since you're saying a street fight, you'd have to say Ortiz. If worse comes to worse and Rios is outslugging him, with his greater mass Ortiz can probably take Rios down and pound him out.
I went to school with Gareth Barry (man city) I spoke to Christiano Ronaldo very briefly before Portugal Vs Brazil at the Emirates.
My Dad is Mates with Jeff Capes (worlds strongest man years ago)
ermmmmm thats it really
Andre Ward. Back in 05', I was lingering around the UC San Francisco campus with a friend when we are approached by Andre, who was actually slanging tickets himself for his upcoming fight with Christopher Holt down in San Jose. I knew who he was from all the coverage he had gotten locally from the Olympic run, but I'm a pretty level dude, just jokingly commented about him being out there selling his own tickets and simply wished him luck. 05' was actually long enough ago that neither my boy or I had a camera on our phones, so no picture.
Also, my same friend saw Nonito Donaire at a Costco. And about 4 years ago, me and a group of friends were waiting in line to get into Jet Lounge in Vegas when we see an entourage of probably 8 deep huge dudes (mostly in suits) walking AWAY from Jet. In the middle of it all was NBA player Tracy McGrady. Had me thinking we were all wasting our time waiting to get into this place while T-Mac wasn't having it! lol
Who should M. Cotto fight next?
I'd personally love to see him step in there with Sergio. I also think a matchup with Cintron would be apt for both at this stage of their career's. However, we all know the rematch with Margarito is the most likely...So...I vote SERGIO!
Bernard Hopkins - Charismatic guy, but haven't seen an exciting fight with him in years.
Andre Ward - Extremely talented and a local guy, but again, might be TOO skilled to entertain.
Chris John - Great fighter, terrible entertainer.
And ofcourse any heavyweight of the last 10 years.
seems like we watched 2 different fights then
If I remember correctly, Ortiz's first knockdown of Berto was an accumulation of 4-6 punches that eventually overwhelmed him. The second was a clean, well located counter shot to the chin that Berto immediately recovered from. Berto's two knockdowns of Ortiz were clean, booming shots (especially the second) that rung Ortiz hard!
Props to Ortiz for surviving that and deservedly winning the fight, but I just feel Berto landed the more powerful shots of the two. That's just me...
Translation: Hate, Hate, hate, hate...../QUOTE]
Don't get me wrong, Ortiz proved in his last fight to be a worthy fighter. However, seeing how many times Berto caught Ortiz and knowing Mayweather's "pot shot/defensive" style I just don't see any other outcome but a clear PBF decision...that's just me though...
It's surprising to me how so many "experts" are giving props to Mayweather for fighting a guy who is tailor made for his own skill set, and IMO doesn't pose much of a threat to him...
Hopefully HBO will turn around it's boxing program and we will get nothing but competitive fights instead of HBO trying to please certain managers and promoters.
Not sure if this move is gonna put a stop to that...
Don't think Gamboa cares enough about Rios to go all the way up to 140. Think Rios views this much more as a rivalry than Gamboa, by the looks of it, Gamboa just saw Rios as a cash cow. Rios took it personal.
Hopefully this doesn't mean they cancel the entire card. I was really looking forward to the Kirkland/Molina fight. Should be a good scrap! I was gonna suggest Soto stepping in, but apparently the fight would only be postponed a month, so a replacement fight is unlikely...
No news here...Roach, like 90% of boxing gym dwellers, talks a load of gibberish in the heat of the moment. Donaire's talents are evident to everyone and anyone...
juanma has to take a tune up for a fight that should been set in aug but salido being a ***** running away no cheating ref he knows he cant win stop fighting bums and give juanma his belt back he has bigger fish to fry then ure nobody ass
U mad huh?
But anyways, there goes Arum again with his "marinating" technique. How'd that work out last time?
