@Javii86. Yes
If it's Mayweather-Cotto at 154, that's legit. It's a B+ fight. Alvarez, right now, is only a C+/B- fight at the most.
It's interesting that Floyd is announcing his opponent tomorrow and Alvarez said he's expecting news this weekend........
No necessarily IF Canelo is going to be on the boxing card anyway. That way, if he's headlining he'll know (probably by today or tomorrow) that he's fighting Mayweather. OR if he isn't but is part of the undercard he will know who he is fighting by the end of the week.
Probably not since he was the bigger draw in the fight with Margarito. He may get the same but theres no way Floyd will cut out some of his money to give Cotto 10 million.

that's obvious though...cotto i think was guaranteed like $7-8 million against margo so he should get more against floyd.
Floyd's notoriously cheap with guarantees. Marquez and Ortiz each got 2.5 while Shane got 5 I believe. Plus Cotto is without a promoter so he would need GBP to give him his guarantee....same company that would give Floyd his. GBP probably has a total in mind and the more the opponent gets the less Floyd gets.
Cotto will want around 10 million guaranteed while Alvarez would MAYBE have the balls to ask for half of that.

what would stop floyd-cotto from happening if cotto is the no. 1 option?:dunno:

It doesn't say for sure who is next, but that's the point. It seems many people are already assuming that it's Mayweather vs Canelo. Canelo is expecting news before this weekend, and Mayweather is claiming he's announcing his opponent tomorrow.
Not sure why he would say that even if it's true. Is that definitely Alvarez's twitter?
I'm so confused by this whole ordeal. I bet Cotto prices himself out of a Floyd fight.
