He's great if you're a tall and lanky guy who can work behind the jab, but I don't think he has very good strategies for fighters who don't fit that bill.
Scully was on point 100%.... A lot of the lapses was just Chad being Chad.
I agree with the first part, Scully was on point. But I didn't see any lapses from Chad, I think he kept his composure the whole night and executed his gameplan against a very crafty and dirty vet. Even if you beat a 47 year old Hopkins, you're going to look horrible doing it, it's just Hopkins' gameplan when things aren't going his way to stink the fight up.
He'd still beat just about everybody else so.......
To answer your question; I wouldn't want to see it but I'd probably somehow end up watching it anyways.
I think he's being honest. What people forget is that Mayweather never forgets defense, even when standing right in front of you.
Exactly! Floyd is too much of a boxing virtuoso to just stand there and trade punches with any boxer. He's gonna be right there in the phone booth punishing his opponent and blocking slipping all the shots coming his way. The sweet science is to hit while not getting hit, not trade punch for punch with an opponent.
Excellent thread Larry, and I agree and believe it's a good tool to motivate one's self to get into superb shape. A true gentleman should exercise year round to maintain a tremendous body and stay healthy, but sometimes we all need a little push. Viewing Mayweather and Cotto preparing for a fight of such caliber is very inspirational to say the least.

Both have tough tasks ahead of them, but I would favor the Pacquiao gentleman in this one. A young and hungry undefeated fighter is not to be taken lightly, while I do love Cotto he's taken his share of beatings and I can't see him winning (although I think he will put up a good fight). I was losing faith in Pacquiao and glad he finally took up a good challenger.

My estimate is 1.4-1.6 million sold in PPV sales. Mayweather-Mosley did 1.4 and Pacquiao-Cotto did 1.25 I believe so it will do extremely well.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I might have to pass on the 3rd episode, I just really want to watch the fight and nothing else (well perhaps the weigh-in also). I sometimes rather watch youtube clips of their training camps and random interviews, feels more organic and they are truly in their element.

It's Floyd too. Floyd doesn't bring nothing interesting to these shows anymore. There is nothing new that I can learn from Floyd.
After having the same names over and over the show will become predictable.
Either only do 24/7 when it's fresh faces, or do the 24/7 and focus on every fighter that's on the televised card.
Floyd, Cotto, Pac bring nothing to the 24/7 series anymore
You're speaking from a hardcore boxing fan's point of view, we are the people who follow the sport and will watch anything boxing related (especially the big events). The 24/7 series is more gear toward the casual fans and people who don't follow the sport as much. Yes Floyd's act is getting redundant to us, but people who don't watch boxing as much eat this stuff up. Reason why shows such as the Jersey Shore and the Kardashians are so popular. Difference being that the 24/7 actually leads up to boxing match.
I hate that mentality of "oh Cotto has losses, he can't be in a mega fight"! I guess you're not familiar with fighters of the past, they lost and still went onto make huge fights. Styles make fights, and plus he already avenged one of his losses (Margarito) and the other was against a great fighter that was a very bad match up for him (and happened 3 years ago). You also have two of the biggest draws in boxing, two fall of famers, and two fighters who people have been wanting to see fight for near 7 years.
I don't see how anybody can question the magnitude of this bout. Whether it's competitive or not, well that's another question.
I believe Mr. Marquez should fight Judah or Alvarado, two fights that can easily be made. I beg Marquez to not fight another over matched opponent; he shouldn't let his career revolve around Pacquiao he should make his own moves.
I got Hopkins and looking for a bet (20 mill or so), any takers?
Don't let the little points my account displays fool you, I can assure you if Mr. Dawson wins you will be fully compensated on our wager.
Moreno is the true definition of the sweet science in these modern times that many lack the skills the old timers displayed, love the guy's style.

Very smug and pretentious comeback by Canelo, like he's so above everybody now that nobody can talk about him and nobody is worth his time. I first noticed this sense of entitlement he has when he wasn't liking the idea of fighting under Floyd's undercard last time. The kid's ego is through the roof and I don't believe it's warranted for him to feel so mighty right now. Yes he sells tickets and has a big fanbase already, but he hasn't proven much inside the ring thus far.
Or it could also be that he feels salty about Vic's comments. I remember that when Floyd was fighting Ortiz and they asked Canelo to comment on the fight, he said something like, "We will be rooting for Ortiz, go Ortiz!". So hearing Ortiz spout the stuff he did after Canelo was supporting him could have rubbed him the wrong way, which is perfectly understandable.

Hopkins will be victorious, I see the craftier veteran putting on another dominant, mind puzzling performance. I can't comprehend how Dawson is the betting favorite, the Gent might have to throw a small wager on The Executioner.

I'm picking Bradley 100% and I truly believe people will be SHOCKED at how good he's going to do and how ordinary he'll make Pacquiao look. The majority of people are sleeping on Bradley, I've seen watching Tim fight for a while now and I've always felt he's the real deal. I'm so confident in my pick I don't care what anybody says, Timothy Bradley is going to shock the world and come out victorious. I don't even think they'll rob him, Bradley is with Top Rank and Arum knows he's the future.
