It's still funny. I like Floyd, BUT IT IS STILL FUNNY

All the kids in my class were Michael Jordan fans. I've always preferred playing basketball to watching it. Mike Tyson was my Michael Jordan.
I love everything from the drama of the faceoffs and ring entrances to the capacity for sudden and sensational upset. It's sometimes bizarre and unpredictable. A boxing match is a metaphor for life. Life is a fight and boxing teaches you to be strong and endure and if you lose a round, don't give up but make adjustments and come back hard! I like that it's an individual sport and that it is international, that you may have any of the continents represented in a main event.
1. Castillo 1 won about 6-7 rounds, I gave him 6. (If you think that's a "robbery", then ydnsab and I don't even like Floyd)
2. Maidana 5
3. DLH 4.5 (I had one round even)
So Floyd was a bad matchup for Pac, who cares? Losing to an ATG doesn't define his entire career.
Lucky for Khan, it would have ended his career.
I'm somewhat against Crawford for the same reason I was against Matthysse prior to him losing to Postol -- because it does nothing to resolve the crowded situation at welterweight. Sort of like Mayweather Berto and how Brook and Bradley found borderline contenders to face rather than facing each other. I got my fingers crossed about Porter Thurman.
"A win over Ward would do nothing for him at 160."
I don't know what a win over Ward would do for GGG at 160, but in the sport of boxing it would make him the #1 p4p fighter. (First I want to see if the winner of Cotto Canelo will be willing fight him though and I'll bet he is thinking the same.)
I nearly passed over Mayweather Pacquiao to protest the ****ty undercard and I wish I would have done that to spend the money on these cards instead. As it is, I think I will just get the Cotto card. But if you were too smart to pay for Mayweather Pacquiao then go ahead and go to town. I give you the greenlight to press the buttons on the remote.
Cherry pick! This thread ought to be about whether Keith Thurman will sign to fight Shawn Porter. Or going to pick himself a nice cherry instead like Lara here? haha:boxing:
This is why Freddie tried convincing Pac that God doesn't give a **** about his fight. I guess if you came up from rags to riches it might seem like God is intimately involved and orchestrating your life. Moreso than if you have a ****ty life, but what if there is no God then you did it all yourself.
I don't know what sort of credit the Mayweather fans, that back him every time he does anything, expect for picking him a fight he was always favored to win. Go back an underdog if you want some bragging rights.
Yeah I sometimes think people read too much into their dreams (like prophecy) and sometimes not enough like.. you cannot beat him with an injury whether you believe in the injury or not just sayin only Manny knew what was going on in his head and maybe he was denying certain truths to even himself. Or maybe it was just a stupid dream, or that he dreamt the night before that he won and simply didn't remember it. It's just a stupid dream. This totally could have been merged into the other thread btw. But between the two, I suspect Floyd will be the one to have gone out with a whimper. Pac will likely KO khan, not safely decision his stablemate.
His c0cky, self-obsessed attitude notwithstanding, I'm sure there are some people who don't like him because he's black just like there are some people who wouldn't like the looks of me, or of you. There's always somebody out there willing to hate everybody.
Miss me yet?

:poke: lol
I got some thoughts. Always thought Golovkin was this nice, likable guy but he said he kept Stevens around longer to punish him. Yeah and that's how Vic Darchinyan sent that poor Mexican guy with a family into a coma. I disapprove of that ****. He's right about this isn't a game and that kinda makes me want Lemieux to KHTFO.
I always cheered against Darchinyan after that admission so I would to be consistent after all. :FlagCanad !!
Sorry but in what reality does the #1 P4P fight tuneups on the undercard? And GGG can't move up for one fight to take on a guy regarded as high as Ward is. Then neither of them are deserving of it.
Kozelek is fascinated with the sport of boxing, which was the inspiration for the Sun Kil Moon moniker as well as several of their songs including the song Duk Koo Kim. According to Kozelek: "Their backgrounds are extremely harsh and they work very hard to move up in their careers. I was in attendance at the Manny Pacquiao-Agapito Sanchez fight in San Francisco in 2001. When I heard Sanchez was murdered shortly after, (actually, it was four years later) it had a profound effect on me. It hurts when anyone dies young, but when you see the backgrounds of these guys and the path they've taken to try to find some light in their lives, it hurts to see them die young." Duk Koo Kim was a Korean boxer who died after a nationally televised bout with Ray Mancini on November 13, 1982. Mancini is from Youngstown, Ohio, which is very close to Kozelek's hometown of Massillon. The triumph of the local hero soon turned into a tragedy that included the suicide death of both Kim's mother and the bout's referee, Richard Green.
The name Sun Kil Moon was inspired by that of boxer Moon Sung-Kil. One of the band's songs, Pancho Villa, is named after the famous Filipino boxer of the same name, and it mentions Salvador Sanchez and Benny Paret.
The fact that both eyes don't always look in the same direction at the same time is a pretty bad fekken sign. I'd love to see him fight again but fear that eye might explode if it gets hit.
First time he fights a live opponent the guy will target the eye and it'll be over in a few rounds. And then he'll be done for good. It's truly senseless. No pun intended.
According to boxrec UK P4P is
1. Brook
2. Khan
3. Frampton
4. Fury
5. Quigg
6. Flanagan
7. DeGale
8. Selby
9. Eubank Jr.
10. McDonnell
Yeah Khan exposed Floyd to be a diva sort of like Brook did to Khan. We all know that he didn't want to risk losing vs Brook before landing the fight with Floyd when ironically, lifting Brook's belt would have given him the best case for landing the fight. :loser:
please name me the 4 division champs currently in boxing. pac(who is shot), cotto(who prob will lose soon and is a catchweight fraud) and broner who just had a great win and won all his belts legit. so for me its broner. don't hate on him just cause you don't appreciate slick boxing. if winning 4 belts was so easy everyone would do it.
:frown: That's enough internet for today.
Because the forum was underwhelmed by this list but the conversation can resume again if he can add Fury to it and impressively. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=688198
He says "what was the question again?" and he said he could go for a Big Mac but the thing that was most indicting is probably that he seemed to be enjoying himself.
i personally think you could take the top 5 or 6 guys and arrange them in any order at the moment. It would be fun to take them guys and start a thread titled "Who will win in 2016 and who will lose?" I can't be bothered to do it though. :Flush:
People that don't like ESPN do you prefer the one with Estrada and Inoue or the one with Yamanaka and Brook? I think ESPN is the best but with GGG too high and Wlad too low.
