this is how I invision anyone who gets behind a keyboard and act like some of these pacfanatics do. This is them all day.... lololol
loool
would have been good to see his reaction when pacquiao got knocked out by marquez :lol1:
I kept telling people Maidana has a good amount of tools Pacquiao does not possess, jab, more of an inside game, dirty, an overhand right that he could arch over Mayweather's shoulder as well as being physically bigger and stronger. No one listened though.
froch made a good comment post fight interview,
he said he didnt understand why pacman didnt try to ruff him up,
hit him behind his head etc make it uncomfortable and thats what maidana did well,
pacman should have come in weighing more i think,
easier saying ti in hindsight mind you
i think you all need to take a step back and rewatch the fight, without whatever expectations you had of pacquiao and just pay attention to what's landing and by who
maidana did not do better than pacquiao
i thiought pacquiao was going to win based on mayweathers perfomance against maidana,
be real come on maidana gave it all compared to mannys effort and i think thats down to mayweather making it hard for manny but also maidana showed him less respect because he came into the fight truly as an underdog...
honestly who would have thought that maidana would give mayweather a tougher fight than pacman...
maidanas stock has risen in my eyes
although i enjoyed mayweathers performance, im a boxing fan so ill appreciate it,
it was a good fight but not a great fight,
i could understand why the casual fight might get put off after spending so much money on it,
casual fans ike a tear up and action fighters
There was no punking
If you watch the video from IFilm it shows 2 great fighters who both earned their respective position showing tremendous respect for each other the way it should be
Props to both men
yea i just saw a lot of respect for each other,
froch is obviously a fan of hopkins,
dont see no punking lol
honestly khan seems like a genuinely nice guy,
but what is he thinking lol
But beating brook who has the ibf title wouldn't get you closer?
lol exactly...
i think froch makes a fair point about froch v ward not being able to sell out wembley,
ever since the groves fight at wembley every tom d*ck and harry seems to think they can sell out wembley lol,
to be fair only a few fight could genuinely do it like khan v brook for example,
that would easily sell it out
i enjoyed that fight, algeiri wobbled and hurt khan,
cant believe i wouldve said that loool
this fight shows that mayweather could potentially stop kan especially with the way he fights at his pace and has accuracy with his shots,
mayweather obviously has more power than algeiri too
i expect khan to win a 12 rounder but big respect to algeiri, he made khan work tonight and it wasnt as easy as it looked
He looked very bulky in the Collazo fight, and he wasnt as fast and mobile as when he fought Devon
I think carry too much upper body mass isnt always a good thing, especially for Khan
true, like someone mentioned earlier,
think they might be trying to find the right balance...
was watching a clip of algeiri and listening to what algieris trainer was saying,
i think he is going to try and land the left hook a lot...
that left hook that frankiebruno and us chatted about before the fight was evident again,
khan didnt ook good tonight but i think thats because algeiri made him work,
lot of credit due to algeiri, scorecard were a little out, should have at least been 115 - 113
khans can never see that left hook coming,
if algeri can throw it with some conviction, he might make khan do the twerk.
khan shud have figured a way to see that left hook coming by now, i am sure hunter knows thats his biggest weakness
its when khan punches is when he is most likely to get tagged, garcia is the perfect example...
honestly i dont see a huge difference in khan since hes been with virgil, maybe time will tell...
I think algeri drops khan at least once
he wont ever be able to live that down if it happens lool
by the way any idea what time the khan algeiri ring walk is?
Khan doesn't look as strong as he was for Collazo and Alexander to me. Think he might have gained quite a bit of weight post Alexander and had trouble taking it off.
you know i think amir looked in the best ever shape in that collazo fight,
he looked big and shredded...
True but it could be because their aim is to increase his speed with Mayweather in mind down the road. Remember the Collazo fight was his first at 147 and they packed him up with muscle for it. Now they probably are directing the muscle mass to where they see it will be most beneficial for his style.
Or I could be completely wrong.
i hear what your saying but i wonder if he is taking algeiri lightly...
algeiris mid section looks absolutely shredded,
doesnt look drained to me...
This was a type of fight Khan needed, i'm glad it wasn't easy. According to John David Jackson, Khan only got serious 3 weeks into camp, they had some inside info
You cant take ur eyes off the ball in this sport, its all or nothing.
Algieri used a lot of head movement, he didnt give Khan room to breath, smothered his work, he was on Khans ass 24/7. The left hook wasnt landing much though, but that right hand did a few times.
Overall Khan still outworked him, landed the more accurate shots, and avoided getting into a brawl/dog fight. That was the first real athletic boxer Khan has fought since Zab. Algieri had a number of tools to trouble Khan with and he used them, but throwing one right hand every 2 or 3 rounds isnt going to win you a fight on the cards.
any idea why that was?
not sure if thats true, khan didnt look gassed to be fair...
yea he landed the right quiet a few times,
if algeiri used his jab effectively to let him come in and land some combination it wouldve been good,
but like you say you cant win rounds with single shots here and there
Khan won 115-113 clearly, but man that ref was on the payroll.....everytime algieri got close, Khan was allowed to clinch and get an immediate break like Klitschko...Algieri impressed....Khan not much, he is lucky Chris doesn't have power.
cant believe the ref didnt say much to him, with the amount of holding he does lol
so on paper before when the fight was announced,
it came across like khan was just cherry picking an easy fight just so he could lockdown the mayweather fight,
it ended up being a fight where he didnt look so good, anyone think it might have backfired???
According to John David Jackson, (the video is up on boxingvoice), when Hunter found out JDJ was training Algieri, thats when they started taking the fight seriously. In JDJ words "they only got serious 3 weeks ago"
interesting...
tell you what another thing i was disappointed with khans power,
we know algeiri has a good chin,
but in the whole fight i cant remember one moment where khan hurt or stunned algeiri...
