Sorry but this s.hit feels like a total failure... Only reason it's selling is because it's Pac May... But if it was anyone else it would be a disaster... The only buzz Im hearing about this fight is the price... Everyone wants to see it but no one wants to pay for it... I doubt it breaks 1.5-1.7 mil... Which is great, but not what you expect from a mega fight...
You are a fkng idiot.
Floyd needs to put on some goddamn safety glasses if he's gonna be chopping wood, the last headline I wanna see on BoxingScene is "Floyd got wood in his eyes"
I think they made the episode for casual fans who don't know sh1t about boxing to let them know who Floyd Mayweather is and what his background is.i think the second episode will be focused on Manny and his background, then the 3rd one will show training camp for this fight abd there will be some trash talking.
You know, I really don't think this episode was that bad. The Money persona will always be with Floyd, and I think they were careful in not overly indulging into that and rather they showed an insight into a supposedly more innocent Floyd through his Olympic days. For me that was really interesting and made me appreciate Floyd more as a Boxer rather than as the effective but sometimes distasteful entertainer that he has marketed himself as being.
Also, the outro for me was pretty epic. There was some great quotes.
"Some people look it as being arrogant, some people look at it as being ****y. It was just a smart business move by a young kid from Grand Rapids".
Honestly, I'm glad Floyd got rid of the played out 'Money' persona and antics. Probably felt like an idiot doing that stuff at 38 years old.
Thought the episode was a nice inside look at the real Floyd. Definitely a welcome change of pace from the boring making it rain, look how many white cars I have routine.
Its not a persona as in "fake" or a character, its part of who he is.
And he did exactly what you described (The whole car and flashy stuff) in his ESPN interview with Stephen A Smith.
When do HBO show theirs?
They're miles better at these than Showtime. Probably because Mayweather is a producer on these and it they're more like an episode of cribs than a boxing promo show.
They should tell Floyd to stick to the boxing and let the TV people deal with the programming format.
its not meant for us really though, more for casuals who want an inside look to things. so its only natrual we find it boring and repetitive
Casuals like excitement, this episode was not exciting in anyway. But again none of this matters, everyone is ready and excited for the fight. It sells itself.
are you a huge fan of jaden smith?
I enjoy his recent music which is surprisingly pretty good so Im showing it a bit of love, that's about it.
Good this fight sells itself because all the promotion for it has been trash.

Episode should of been called Inside Mayweather
next episode is inside Pacman
Wasn't there an article that says Showtime is doing a 4 part documentary on Mayweather and HBO is doing a 4 part documentary on Pacquiao?
There was a bit 11 minutes in where Floyd is discussing about pace and also movement against a southpaw...
I'd love to see more of that Floyd, that guy is much more interesting than the one using his stock phrases and talking about money.
It would be great if someone could just get Floyd to sit down and talk about the technical side of boxing. You don't have that kind of ring IQ and skills without having a wealth of boxing knowledge inside your brain. It would be cool to see that side of him because the usual things we see are boring now and wearing very thin.
He speaks upon fighting a Southpaw here too (specifically what he was doing versus Corley).
I'll watch it tomorrow. I'm planning on having a mega night of boxing. I might even do some cocaine tomorrow night, who knows. :boxing: :boxing: Tomorrow night is gonna be sweet.
ive done this on numerous occasions too when im behind on boxing.
