Got a bunch of birds drinking in my front room lol
You nearly made yourself sound like Casanova there, until we realized they was in the other room to get away from you innit :lol1:
Once again, dont see the Abraham hype, Lujan simon gave him a fight, and people actually think Pavlik is deathly afraid of him, but willing to go to 170 against Bernard Hopkins. :ugh:
Oh my daze, how has singh lost that fight by TKO?
Clash of heads, so no contest right?
Ahh they are saying british rules are different.
Ps. thats a f.ucking shocking cut.
This is a good punch up!
Great fight, not really scoring it properly, but i think Glover is nicking it, he cant fight like this for 10 though, he gonna lose.
Is there a headliner for tonight ?
Murray vs Lawton for the british light welterweight title, only lawton can win it cos murray didnt make weight yesterday.
Siddique vs Glover = Another classic itv 4 fight, seriously, there are some f.ucking real tear ups.
Ps. Siddique is nuts for trying to disupute that decision, he was warned about 20 times for low shots.
Yeah back injury as well.
What time does tonights card start?
Now, So he cant fight even with a back injury for sake of my saturday night?
Im not a fan anymore. :nonono:
Nah they're just bracing themselves to come into my room. The drink helps numb the pain of having to take my massive length.
Ahh, so by 'girls', you meant you bought some Ukrainian hookers for the night.
Would be a good fight, both would have the ablity to floor the other guy. Off the top of my head i would go with Guzman just, that only because of Valero lunging in chin up, but if valero could fight a disciplined fight i would give him a chance, Guzman is definatley there to be hit if you throw more than one punch at a time and valero can hit.
Iv'e edited this one in.
5) Pacquiao: Has anyone noticed how he is getting matched with Left handed fighter in a orthodox stance/ fighter who's power punch is the left?
De La Hoya: Left hander converted to orthodox.
Hatton: Orthodox stance but left hand is his power punch.
Cotto: Left hander converted to orthodox.
Smart matching making there by the boy roach.
Wouldn't this fight make sense? Mosley has fought at Jr Middle, why not go up 1 more? Mosley would come in around 160+ lbs fight night and Pavlik is around 170's isn't he? Mosley has good power (for his weight), and I can see his speed giving Pavlik fits.
Would you guys give Shane any chance?
Yeah, but his speed is overrated to a degree, and speed alone doesnt beat Pavlik, he's gotta be able to take pavlik's jab away, conicidently shane struggles against fighter who are able to establish the jab.
Good fight, alot of people would assume mosley would do a hopkins, i say otherwise, pavlik would have a very good chance of nailing him down with the jab-right hand.
First of all, cotto probably isnt the same fighter he was prior to margarito.
Secondly If he cant pin manny down in this fight he is gonna get really hurt, at distance, he prolly wont see the shots coming, so he needs to be in close with manny to get leverage on those left hooks. If cotto can set set long enough to land on manny, manny's going home in a bodybag, if manny can stay off the ropes and find space in the ring, cotto's gonna get cut and potshotted.
Manny isnt great moving backwards and cotto aint a reckless one dimensional fighter like hatton, but if manny can find that distance, cotto is gonna get hurt.
I think I'll watch the Barrera fight later this week.
That fight caused a bit of contraversy, a few cats had barrera winning that one, i dont see how that possible tho, i think i had it 116-111/115/112 JMM or summin like that, think Barrera got robbed of a knockdown though.
It's an okay fight.
i'm not a big fan of guz.
i think he's overrated.
that said......valero is a garbage.
guzman ud12 120-108.
valero might win a few rounds......if joan takes some off.
Guzman is there to be hit, he traps himself with his own footwork,as i keep saying he plants his feet in a way which means alot of the time he can only lean away from single shots, rather than move away, ameth diaz was landing on him, valero deffo has a shot.
.
5 Yep. But I think at 147 it's Cotto's size period, not 1 punch in his arsenal that tells the story.
Yeah, but even at 147 manny has a serious chance, Cotto needs to get set to get off his best punches, thus he is at his best when his opponent is standing in front of him or cornered at this is what allows him to get leverage on those hooks. I think roach Manny might not be stationary long enough for cotto to get the leverage he needs in those shots. If he cant corner manny or stop him moving, he's in for a long night. His best chance is to pin him down with the jab, because size matters when you actually land solid punches, if you dont, the weight advantage doesnt mean as much.
Pascal is reckless, you can see why he lost to froch, if Diaconu was able to time him lunging in, or get him on the backfoot more, he would have been in real trouble. Good fight, but Pascal was very lucky to get away with those tactics.
Very good fight, alot of close rounds but Pascal got a wide decision in my view, his reckless fight plan of lunging in with right hands and combo to the body hands down-head up payed off against a slower diaconu would could punish him. Both got hit with some cracking shots, good fight. Pascal vs dawson has the potential to be a great fan fight, but I dont see pascal as a major threat to dawson yet.
valero's best win to date for me is mosquera.
second is pitalua.
third is the chef at the benihana in santa monica.
Oh yeah, but im terms of styles, he has a chance, people are obsessed with guzman because he does the shoulder roll, he's open for combinations and isnt as slick as people think.
